    "Mucky ammonite" is not something I'd ever expected to hear. Made me grin.
    Thank you for the "spot the fossil" segments! You're teaching me-- I spotted one, this time. :D
    The fragile one was amazing. Just came apart, and there were the chambers, almost like they'd been saw-cut. Very cool.

    This looks location south of Saltburn.
    The North East coast is a wealth of history.

    What a gorgeous day to be outdoors on that beach . What a large nodule you spotted . Ihope you get a chance to open it up and find something good , like the Stellare nodules we have down here along the Jurassic Coast. I like 👍🏻 that “crumble “ ammonite you found , you don’t know your own strength being able to open it up be hand 🤚 😁.

      It was a really lovely day, and who knows what could be inside the nodule indeed! The nodules you find and open look so cool, I love the wood stones! My hand strength is now unstoppable, I can leave my hammer at home 😆😉

    Hello!
    Would love to know all of the locations in your videos please! Most of the bays I find on the East coast don't have anywhere near the amount of stones as these! (Or if they do they're too dangerous to go near) 😁

    the ammonites that are imbedded in the rock.... were they originally covered in rock?

    • @YorkshireFossils
      @YorkshireFossils  3 роки тому +2

      They were indeed, and gradually naturally eroded to reveal them

  • @ShojoBakunyu

    I grew up in the American Southwest and watching you reach around and under rocks like at 07:19 gives me anxiety because in Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, etc. the land is full of creatures that can easily kill you if you reach to pick up a rock they're hiding under. 🦂 Scorpions, 🐍 Rattlesnakes, Black Widows, Wolf Spiders, Gila Monsters, 🐝 Killer Bees... SO MANY creatures that will bite or sting and send you to Hospital! You get used to it but you never really lose that "Don't reach down there without poking it with a stick first!" instincts.

    In several places in the world we find huge amounts of bones of various animal species. This includes animals that went extinct long ago. These boneyards are the remnants of a recurring natural disaster. This disaster recurs every few thousand years and causes a huge tidal wave to sweep across the earth. That tidal wave drags everything loose with it, including people and animals. If that wave hits a mountain ridge, the bones may remain at the bottom of the mountain or be washed into rivers and creeks. To learn much more about recurring floods, the re-creation of civilizations and its time line and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone.Search: invisible nibiru 9
