Lol... In addition to being an incredibly skilled pilot, Ryan speaks pidgin too!
Not very good though
It's pidgin... nobody can really tell!!! lol@@MissionaryBushPilot
I started to watch, your site cause of the flying. But the needs you forfill, for those villages. You are a true hero............
Thanks for watching
Never seen you make a bad landing. Your speed control and timing the roundout so you don’t float is textbook
Thanks
This is so remote; they are lucky to have such an amazing pilot to fly in and out with essentials. It looks incredible.
Love the new camera views.......Tremendous! Stay after it for Christ!
OMG Ryan, my heart stopped when you were on final, through touch down and taxi. You are truly a great pilot. God Bless.
I’m really amazed when I watch how the back is packed . Some of that stuff doesn’t look like it would fit
The world need more people like this... thanks Ryan for your service
What beautiful country sides God bless you Ryan for the services you provide for these people. Prayers for you always.
What a sweet airplane. Thank you for showing this workhorse and your professionalism.
Thought about you today when my wife and I visited the Palo Alto Airport (KPAO, Palo Alto, CA). They had an Airport Day open house for the community and one of the planes on display was Kodiak N247TC. Thanks to your great channel, I felt very at home visiting the cockpit. I asked the pilot if he knew of your channel and he said he is a fan. You might be a world away from many of us but thanks to your channel, you are a happy presence in our lives. Cheers!
I can never get enough of this! I admire what you do! I pray for you on ya flights! Bless you brother!
Thank you
Another captivating video. The approach looked 'hairy scary' enough without having to deal with a broken landing strip. Thanks Ryan... excellent flying skills!
Thanks for watching
Nerves of steel on that landing. Great video! 🙏
Ryan, great work supporting the people of PNG. Thanks for your service (from an OIF/OEF vet). Lord protect your takeoffs and landings!
too bad there isn't such a "LORD" --- who could INTERFERE with the performance of an AIRCRAFT --- ESPECIALLY TO THE BENEFIT OF THE INTENTIONS OF THE PILOT !!!! ----
I would love to see *ANY* EARTHLY DEMONSTRATION OF THAT KIND OF ACTIVITY !!!!
You may notice that NO part of Ryans pre-takeoff (or pre-landing) checklist is a PRAYER - - - *OF ANY SORT*
That's a lot of assuming @manifold1476, and we all know what happens when one ASSUMES
@@MissionaryBushPilot Again, PNG bush pilot...many safe takeoffs and landings for ya! As an aspiring Cessna-172 pilot I learn a lot from your videos...not the same flight-deck or bird but you know what I mean. As former Army Ranger paratrooper, I said quite a few short prayers before and after jumps. People have the right to believe, not believe, and everything in between...I defended that right for others. Thx and Regards!
The world need more people like this... thanks Ryan for your service. The world need more people like this... thanks Ryan for your service.
Always enjoy your productions Ryan . . we appreciate your efforts . . Enjoy your PNG coffee in one of your mugs . . Bob
Thanks for the support 😊
The information you convey through your narrative whilst flying is truly unique for those of us who dont fly but enjoy riding shotgun with you , so much to learn and process , kudos Ryan and Stay Well cheers from aussie in canada
Glad you enjoy it
Yikes that was a rough patch on landing. Poorly maintained that’s for sure.
Appearance of substantial rainwater gulleys... on the runway, gives thought to repairs not lasting long. ;]
Incredible. That rocking motion in the middle was freaking...
Amazing! it so nice, you commenting all the time.
Glad you enjoyed it
Your music choice at the end was truly enlightened. Incredible way to end. Thank you.
You have to have faith in the continuity of space-time with cliff side approaches! Thank you for a great video!
I enjoyed seeing the effort it takes to get the flight ready for the morning. This airstrip looks challenging for sure! Thanks Ryan.
Great video of more aspects / work that goes into a flight.
Great job. Keep it up and stay save.
Great, and your professionality is astonishing. Thanks for your work, God bless you and your family😊
That landing was hairy..especially the bump! Wow! Great flying skills you display here...God speed!
Thanks Ryan for coming back to serve the forgotten people of png....👏👏👏👏
There is little room for error. Appreciate your attention to EVERYTHING. Safe travels sir!
I enjoy your videos very much. One question. I noticed you were sampling the fuel before getting it topped off. Have you ever experienced contamination from the fuel trucks in Papua New Guinea?
No
There is no way I would have been flying under these permanent stress levels that you do Ryan. Godspeed!
Hi from the UK. Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing.
Ryan, this video is on a different level! It is the first one I have watched since you return to PNG and you have added so many more technical aspects as well as professional level video and audio. It is simply outstanding. It is obvious that you spend a great deal of time on creating this content. Thank you. May the Almighty protect you in this journey
Thanks for noticing
Such a beautiful flight Ryan, PNG is just spectacular👌Those bumps on landing were so scary, it was like a bunny hop on your motorbike!
It is SOOOooo cool to see this video! I've been an Amazon Smile contributor since the ministry was New Trbes! I had no idea you were on UA-cam! Blessings and grace to all of ye! AMDG
Thank you Ryan for the service you provide tell the family hello
Just discovered your channel and enjoying seeing country I havent seen for over 45 years. Hearing your Pidgin brings back memories and breat memories of Goroka coffee beans. Thanks for bringing back a little slice of heaven. Bushyboy Oz.
Thank you for yet another 'documentary-level' video that gives a window into flying to remote locations in PNG.
Ryan, I'm glad you're good at maths with all that adding of fuel, cargo, seats& paxs even with the calculator. It brings back memories of flights from Hagen to Madang, 4 POB+toothbrush & a comb,(C172) at least it was all downhill. 😊 anyway you had a nice day for flying, a bit of a tricky landing but all in a day's work for you. Again, thanks for the ride. Stay safe my friend. ( P.S.,good to hear your Tok Pisin is getting better.)
When you said you were committed you wern't joking. Not much room for error there or to go around. Nice work flying the numbers and nice wheely! Great vid man. Thanks.
Thx
There is *no* room for error when landing on those one way strips.
Dear C. Ryan
I appreciate your effort on this video. Thank you so much for the time lapse at the end. Also I like when mentioned that.
Best regards
🛩
Wow your pidgin is really beautiful. So great to talk to people in their own way. I spoke Liberian small small English, I know what a difference it makes.
Incredible flying skill on display here. That approach is quite scary, and the rollout with the nose lifting back up would make any pilot pucker a bit. Very professionally done, sir.
Thanks again for another great video, Ryan. As always, looking forward to the next flight !!! 😊
An 8:30 departure turns into a 10am. Just another case of "If you have time to spare, go by air."
Goodness! You're ahead of the plane, but she's definitely on your heals. Amazing pilot. Thanks for sharing.
Excellant talk thru. Thanks. Its those updrafts and cross winds ...great views of the valleys.
It always amazes me the amount of galvanised roofing material on the village houses these days, In the sixties they all had grass roofs. The biggest gains to the village people would be less fires and the ability to collect water. Imagine walking down 2,000 feet to get a bucket of water!
Very Professional in a hostile environment, but it keeps you alive. Excellent. Video good too!
No, no ,no Ryan that landing was not a nail-biter or anything! Sheesh!
29:39 our boy got the RM Williams on
Wow, that's like a $3 million aircraft! No wonder it is tough enough to handle all those unimproved strips with ease. Great channel!
dude that landing was sketch city....glad you and the plane are ok.
I'm a low time private SEL. Your flying skills makes me feel like a real dummy! Love watching you fly!
High time pilot. Low time pilot. No time pilot. It really doesn't matter. Self-preservation and acute situational awareness along with good flight control muscle memory will keep you safe. 😉
Former LEO. I watch two genre of videos start to finish. Police pursuits and your piloting videos. Both are fun, adrenaline filled, and informative. I’ve done one many times. I’d love to do your genre but don’t think I’d have the juevos. Rather be back at LAPD in a south central gun battle than make a mistake in the air. Keep up the great work!
Ha! Nice wheelie on landing, there. No tail strike, it's OK, I was watching the cameras there for you :)
lmao I was playing flight sim while watching and when you said "load up all this coke" i did a double take
'load all the coke' is what you hear on the South/Central American flight simulators !!!
The Landing gear flex on takeoff, just wow. Great work on avoiding the tail-strike and not starting a PIO afterwards, great job.
Wow that was close!
Too close for my comfort
About the airstrip you gotta give those people credit there because they built it by hand no machines what a great achievement they done
Great video and scary landing Ryan! Well done and thank You for this amazing content
Oh my, imagine having to air fly a sheet of ply wood. That's really tough living.
I've enjoyed your videos for several years and always look for them each week. I was wondering if you've considered giving us an idea of what living in PNG is like - your off-duty life with your family, shopping, recreation, schools and anything else that would give us a better idea of PNG and not just importance of flying.
I have thought about it, but maybe start on Patreon to see if others like them
Beautiful Flying,,, in addition to awesome footage....Stay Safe..
Gracias...desde Cacheuta Mendoza Argentina
Ryan, that was the best view for a take off. André
I once had “sewing-machine leg” on final to Merrill Field in Alaska with a 30+ knot cross wind. Good to know that I’m not the only one who had an adrenaline dump. Love your videos. Thx
Gee - I had that (in a '75 Chevy NOVA) on a New Brunswick (canada) highway one time - with my 'right leg' - (the throttle foot) bouncing uncontrollably -- just after a sketchy overtaking of an "18 wheeler".
My foot shook so bad I had to slow down, and the damn thing passed me - AGAIN - *IN THE RAIN* -
Do you know how hard it is to pass a semi in the rain - in TWO WAY TRAFFIC - ON HILLY AND CURVY ROADS - *TWICE* ???
I'm just glad I was in my twenties at the time, and not in my upper 60's, like I am now.
5:36 Dang, bro! 4X8 sheets on a shuttle craft? Way to go, dude!
Stay wary of "cumulo-graniticus" lol. Gee wiz.
Great job Ryan, cause I call that a E-ticket ride, reminds me of flying. As passenger with the Coast Guard to the Palu Island back in the LORAN days late 60’s 🫣
Moving some dirt around with a shovel does not equal fixing a runway. There maybe.😂
LOVE the time lapses, Ryan!
someone needs to get that man a small skid steer and grader to fix that strip that thing is awful! Would have to fix that before I would land there
Take care of those 'bumps'??!! The way the front end pitched up, I thought you had hit a traffic speed bump. Was that because of the conditions of the RW and/or a bit more back CG? You've got some crazy flying with all the valleys that some of these air strips are located. Great job.
I absolutely love these videos!
The video of the runway condition is so deceptive. Being on the ground you can really see all the tank traps but not so much in the video. But this is a great video, thanks for making and sharing it.
Your flights are so compelling. Absolutely fascinating. Would be lovely to sometimes learn how long the road trip would be if the aircraft can’t make it….
Excellent approach. Great drone footage.
What an absolutely awsome human being
What a great place 👍 Wow you have your hands on lots of things 👋
Can see how much work u put into this content fella ..great stuff & great new format 👍 😊
Wow that's huge pieces of ply wood, fits in like nothing.i grew up with 206 but wouldn't carry that. My son still hires 206 to get his family to jungle strips in south America. This yr I went with him. The airplane was basically the same as when I was 9 yrs old
Wow yeah dangerous runway conditions. Like you said especially with full aft cg. Terrific video
Brilliant video Ryan. Thank you. :-)
NTE beautiful panel wonderful airplane
Ryan, you are a master of your job. Glad to see you back in suck a beautiful Island. 🙏🏽🙏🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Well done Ryan, your video quality keeps getting better and better. And btw, you did feature flying into Guwasa once before on this channel, as an intermediate stop on a flight between Haia and Goroka, but just that once.
Ryan, your an heck of a pilot!!👍🏼
Heart thumped real good a couple of times. Thx
That's intense landing
Wow! Nice piloting.... Again. Thanks for another great video!
Bro you taxi like a maniac! Nice landing though
In many ways you carry more responsibility than a large jet airliner pilot . That take off from Guwasa showed the stress on the undercarriage.
Love your videos,your really professional
I thought the runways in Central America were bad...you da man!😊
glad you enjoyed the video
lovely approach sir. props.
Hey Ryan, thanks for these vlogs, mate. Really interesting. As bush pilots on duty, where do you guys stay, how do you fix meals, how do you kill spare time - sleep, read, work out, bike, swim with the crocs? Would be awesome to know the life of a bush pilot outside the cockpit. Cheers!
Great video. That's was an insane approach.
Ur approached was great & we love watching ur videos Ryan & time lapses the runway was really bad & I can c ur concern so much damage could occur to the kodiak - ur dedication to this job & people is unsurpassed
All the Best !
Jo & Winnie 🇳🇿🙏🏻
Best thing about flying is that no matter what you will always come down. Imagine engine stopp and the plane stopps 5000f up in the air and won't come down 😂
