    Ryan,
Interesting flight back to Goroka. It's nice to have aircraft these days capable of flying in these conditions ,but the bottom line is still the same as years gone by, no your mountains, valleys, rivers & the odd tree. Good to hear you explaining your decisions. Thanks for the ride and stay safe.

I'm reminded of the old saying by Captain A. G. Lamplugh, a British pilot from the early days of aviation, who once famously said, “Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous. But to an even greater degree than the sea, it is terribly unforgiving of any carelessness, incapacity or neglect.”
It highlights the vital importance of the constant application of safety and caution in aviation.

Ryan hi from Alberta Canada another great flight. Doesn't matter how may FLOGs of yours i enjoy they are always different.Takes a totally different piloting skill set flying in PNG In good weather here in the Rocky Mountains or up north we have advantages like flight following, ATC vectoring, and mostly paved and serviced airports. Even the remotest airports with gravel runways are improved compacted surfaces with, very good drainage, lighted, marked, snow clearing in winter and 75% towered. Flying off the established routes here still do not compare to the challenges pilots flying in PNG experience. Has to be a great experience flying there Thanks for making your flights available on Flight Sim.

Navigating an aircraft in bad weather indeed places a tremendous burden on pilots, demanding their expertise, judgment, and composure. Safety must always come first, and the aviation industry's stringent training and protocols play a pivotal role in ensuring that pilots can make sound decisions under challenging circumstances.

In the 1960's my brother in law was a pilot for Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) based in what was then west Irian and flew into the same areas you are currently in. Names like Wewack and such, plus pictures of the "airfields" you are flying into, including the uphill, stationary aircraft carrier, bring back memories. Thank you for what you're doing.

helps me slow down to 80 knots, which gives me more time to think and make adjustments to my plan, and with the flaps, it allows me to fly slower without stalling and better control movement
