  • On June 29, we began testing on the tracks of the Mid-Coast Extension of the UC San Diego Blue Line Trolley, and marked the occasion with a handing-of-the-keys ceremony between SANDAG and MTS. During the event, a Trolley rode the tracks and entered the Tecolote Road Station for the first time.
MTS will now conduct testing and operator training on the new tracks for the next five months. The Mid-Coast is expected to begin serving the public in late November.

Barring a change of plans Yes Sir. With that said, that almost a 2-hour ride from San Ysdiro to/from UTC/La Jolla. Personally I would have split the Blue Line in half. The extension running between UTC and 12th/Imperial. While the First line would have run between Old Town and San Ysidro.
