YES. I just "upgraded" from the S10e to the S24 earlier this year. Forced to. Coz the phone just couldn't last a few hours of usage. I still have the S10e, and every time i hold it in my hand, i begin to loathe my S24 for its size. Damn it, Samsung. Just release the S10e with updated hardware!!! When I bought the S10e, I had a feeling at the time it was gonna be the last of its kind - the last phone I would truly love. Sadly, I was right. Perfect size, microsd, 3.5mm jack, wide angle cam. OH and the fact i could pull down my notifications with the fingerprint reader on the side. And truth be told, i still prefer that older style of fingerprint reader than these in-display ones. Fuck. This video is just making me miss using my S10e.

I was so eager to buy this phone when it was launched in India, but at that price, One Plus was killing it with better options, so I went for it. But only thing lacking was the battery.
Bought mine in 128gb second hand for around 120 usd. STILL LOVING IT. I'm using it right know. Honestly its still great in alsmost every aspect. Still runs fast. Gorgeous Oled screen. General performance, camera and mic quality are so great. The other day I used it to record a musical performance and my friends were blown out to the point they even asked if it was a phone designed specially for audiovisual creation. Still loving it, specially for the compact size, the only problem it's the battery, as it has almost 6 years, the battery it's starting to decline, fortunately fast charge works great (0-100 in aprox 45 mins). Software and hardware wise it is still better than 90% of today's midrange phones. Even has great features that still today are only in flagships, like DeX. Because of the battery issue, I've been thinking on upgrading to the S23 or 24 (base models as they are also compact and small). Honestly if it was easy and cheaper I would just replace the battery and keep it rocking for at least a couple more years.
@@elmejorjugadordefornaik Indeed it is but I just wouldn't see the point in going from s10e to the 13mini, as they are actually close. If I'm changing up I'd go for something that's actually a serious step up, for that I mention the S24 or even 23. Besides I prefer Android, specifically Samsung. Not saying Apple is bad, but I just prefer Samsung
I really appreciate you for doing retrospectives on tech from not too long ago. I feel like we are moving so fast we are often forgetting the smaller details phone manufactures nailed just a few years ago.
My S10e works great! I accidentally dropped it last January 1 so I had to upgrade since screen replacement is ridiculously expensive for its age. It still works even with cracked screen and using it as back up phone
I had it till last October, but the display became slightly greenish tone, and battery life was just 3 hours. BUT the camera was really great specially in low light conditions!
I always say the s10 line, especially the 10plus was the most perfect smart phone ove used, if they could've added 90hz it woulda been icing on cake.. such a good phone
Still using mine. I talked myself into using it another year. At the end of next year I'll probably talk myself into using it for another year after that
I have this phone way back 2 months ago. I really love the the compact factor of the phone but the reason that I upgraded is the heating issue and the battery. I am using the snapdragon version but scrolling on social media makes the phone heat upp really fast. Missing my s10e so muchh
First off great video. Secondly, this was and is still one of my favorite smart phones of all time, and I was using this as the main recording device on my channel up until the beginning of this year. Now are use primarily a S 21+ for my channel recordings, but this was a great device a very small compact size with all the flagship features, including a headphone, jack with microphone support, as well as Bluetooth audio support and micro SD card expansion, which if you jump in to developer options you can make via forcing it the main storage on the device And the cameras, the ability to switch between all of the main cameras at 10:80 P and 4K was great and it had all of the super good flagship features wireless charging reverse wireless charging in the battery. Life was really good at least for my style of usage. And I still have two of these in my collection that I use is back up recording devices when I need to. Keep up the great work have a good one and I’ll catch you on the next one.
I loved mine. Swapped it last year for an s23 because I really wanted a telephoto camera and 120hz display, but other than that, I'd keep it for longer
I'm leaving a sub. I saw your videos here and there over the years and I think the amount of content you make and the amount of work you're putting into this channel is commendable. I love going down memory lane with some of these devices. Good job, thanks and good luck on your way to a 100k 🙂
My s10 was my longest used phone. Also by sheer annoyance of UI change to Volume and pulldowns - i stopped stubbornly updating main os pre 2020 january and the software always worked better than the S20 of my peers
I own the base model (S10 2019 exynos) i only swapped it with a G100 because of battery lasting not even half a day, thats the only thing i see wrong with the phone, i love it.
Got my S10+ right now. I plan on changing it since the battery can't last, even after replacing it twice. The S10+ really served me well, still an amazing phone.
The Prism White was like a piece of jewelry with the polished frame and opal-like back! That and the Aura Glow on the Note 10 series were so great. The purple on the S24 series is okay, but it lacks a "POP" factor.
Only phone ever I kept until it ran out of updates. Small with top of the line cameras. Only remotely close thing is the pixel 9 pro, but I'd still prefer something thinner and gladly pay a premium for it.
i think many older models of phones have good value.perhaps cameras have improved though.one thing i do think is of value is putting a custom rom on your phone.i have a xiaomi and ive noticed that the more miui updates i do the laggier it gets.an older model phone with a half decent camera, amoled and custom rom can still be a good shout plus you have more compact models to choose from.
My favorite Galaxy phone. I rock the fold 6 because I can't have a recent version of the s10e. I used the 10e just earlier this year and enjoyed the comfort of this phone.
The Galaxy S10e was my favorite phone. So sad the size is gone now for bigger phones. I think the S10e and the iPhone SE 2022 are the perfect size phones period!
I'm still rocking the S10e as my media phone (2nd phone) with a 512gb SD card. It used to be my wife's phone when she upgraded to a S22. I use it daily
I bought this phone refurbished back in 2023. I love it for all the reasons you mentioned, but I wouldn't recomment it because of its terrible battery life. The battery wasn't great at the start (3100 mAh only), but a 5 year old one is catastrophic. I replaced the battery with a spare, but it has less capacity than the original one when it was new.
man, your content brings so much memories! reminding me of these hidden gems. I'm just upset Samsung didn't update these phones or else I would be hanging onto their tech for dear life.
This was my last Samsung/Android phone, I do miss it. It had a really good camera and it performed well, it was packaged so well. However, the battery just couldn't keep up so I had to retire it early 2021. Now I still have my iPhone 12 which I replaced with for over 3 years now. Longevity on iPhones just trump those of Samsungs.
Loved my s10, it was my wife’s first then mine. I had a pixel 6 and switched to the s10. It was a way better size, and just was more fun to use. I eventually upgraded to an s23 this past year and while I miss the shape of the s10, the flat s23 is definitely more durable. Just wish it still had the headphone jack and micro so card
I share your passion for compact flagship phones. For me personally, the Galaxy S10 was the shortest I have ever held on to a phone - because of it's terrible battery! After only 2 years of using it as my daily driver (moderate user) the battery was completely wasted, draining 50% of battery between the time I get up in the morning and the time I arrive at work. Even when not using it at all, I had to charge it easily 5 times a day just for people to be able to reach me. And even before when I was still working, the battery was really not good
Writing this comment in this phone, bought refurbished back in 2019. I agree with the back glass issue. It's the seal that degrades over time. I got the battery replaced once. However, I noticed that the phone started lagging since the last Android update. I have the Snapdragon version, not sure if others are facing this issue. Love this phone but due to the lag issue and slowly degrading battery life, I will replace it as my daily driver. But, I will hold on to this phone as an extra phone for as long as I can.
I had the S10e, and I absolutely resented it. It's the phone that swore me off of Samsung for the foreseeable future. The software was so clunky and had so much redundant Samsung bloatware. The fingerprint scanner was fine, but any humidity made it unusable and I encountered way too many fingerprint rejection issues. It also thermal throttled very frequently, and the display often got way too warm to the touch. Remembering that phone brings back a lot of frustration, so I can't help but deeply resent this video. Went through a few phones after that, but I eventually settled on the Sony 5V. It's reasonably small, and has none of the issues I encountered on my S10e, OnePlus 9 Pro, or Pixels. I only wish I could have gotten the European variant of the 5V, since the Asian one doesn't seem to support eSIM.
We can say the same thing for the Note serries. The N10 Serries was quite ok. For those who wanted a smaller note, the same size as the S10, you had the basic version, and the plus version, which was the real "Note" got an important upgrade. They introduced for the first time on a Samsung phone : 45 watt charging, 1440 display, 12 Gb of ram, and 256 gb storage by default plus expandable memory. Remember that theese specs were available only on their ultra models. Which means that N10+, even though lost the audio jack, and did mot had at least 90hz refresh rate, was still ahead of the competition.
I had to use my S10+ 5G for 2 weeks whilst my S24+ was in repair with Samsung and I have to say I can't agree more. The only downsides is that it's still on Android 12 without using some kind of custom ROM and the battery would drain quickly.
Bro it's not that the general public wants a humongous 6.7-6.9 inch phone but it's the smartphone companies who are forcing the people to buy big phones. For example, S20 FE started with 6.4 inches which is nominal size but this year they suddenly bumped the size of S24 FE to 6.7 inches which no one asked for 🥲. And now in the S-series if you want a not so large size screen phone your only option is the base S-series phone which earlier was a choice between base S or the FE model 😢.
@@SanketRoy_27 That's going to be a trade-off for most mini phones, unless new Graphene batteries get better and cheaper. People aren't willing to make those compromises.
@@SanketRoy_27People generally want larger phones. The sales show this. There's a reason Asus is also abandoning the compact flagship (pun intended).
Haha, all I needed to see was that thumbnail to know what phone it was. Now you’ve made me want to look for that S10e. Miss that phone, and can’t wait for your 100K!
Back panel and main camera glass broken, screen cracked with pixel lines running on edges , battery at 65%. Bought it on day one and still daily driving it. cant find anything to replace it and will stick to s10e until its dead(maybe switch to s24 or s25 if nothing compact comes before end of 2025)

i still have my s10e, bought it in late 2019 and already chewing up 4 batteries. thats the only downside with this phone, the battery life is so poor but dammit this phone rocks and im gonna keep it as long as i can
Still using today. Bought 3 for 60 each in 2022 and replaced the batteries while ifixit had them for 12$. Running great still, but lack of software updates is starting to show some issues. Fun fact, ive still got a note 4 on lineage os thats ALSO running just fine, and has more current app versions than the s10e. Lol. Locked bootloaders 🤷♀️
used to have an s10e, unfortunately it was the eu version and the exynos would get so hot that the adhesive on the back glass melted and the back glass came off. had to switch to an iphone xr as that was the only "backup" i had, after 2 years with it i recently upgraded to the z flip 6 and im quite happy to be back.
Even though I switched to an iPhone, I’m still holding on to my S10. It’s such an amazing phone. Got it since it was first released. I use it for media consumption because of the Micro SD card expansion, 1440p display, better apps, headphone jack, and EQing through Wavelet. Better experience than on my iPhone 15 Pro
my wish that would possibly never happen: make another one of these but at 90% screen to body ratio, 20 x 9 aspect. so it would be about 6 inches diagonal, less than 70mm wide. put a 4500-5000 mah battery and 12gb of ram, snapdragon elite, headphone jack, expandable storage. maybe 185g or less. call it the s25e.
Still using it until today, the 3.5mm headphones jack, Micro SD Card Slot, Fingers Print on the side, UtraWide Camera, Compactness, Unlimited options and much more! Just a little bit sad that SAMSUNG's stopped giving us new software update🥺
I got one for free because the Camera stopped working. Needs something resoldered but I don't care use it as a back up phone when I travel. Great little phone
Owned it twice, second hand, gorgeous phone with atrocious battery life. I wish they used their base model flagship with the slight curves of the s10e and a side mounted fingerpring scanner lower where the power button sits. I'd settle for a lack of ultrawide camera even.
Honestly if it was easy and cheaper I would just replace the battery and keep it rocking for at least a couple more years.
try iphone 13 mini. its beautifl
Terrible battery life
S9+ Snapdragon version user here, still daily drive it, minor slowdowns, does everything still fine
I really appreciate you for doing retrospectives on tech from not too long ago. I feel like we are moving so fast we are often forgetting the smaller details phone manufactures nailed just a few years ago.
Make a video for the S10 5G please. This was the Ultra phone for the S10 series, and almost no one knew about it.
Still using mine! When phones are twice as fast on real world tasks, I may be tempted!
Congrats on 100k!
S20 Fe is Another Legendary phone
What about it?
The s20s never stood out like the s10s
My S10e works great! I accidentally dropped it last January 1 so I had to upgrade since screen replacement is ridiculously expensive for its age.
It still works even with cracked screen and using it as back up phone
I had it till last October, but the display became slightly greenish tone, and battery life was just 3 hours.
BUT the camera was really great specially in low light conditions!
Fun fact: the Note10+, released months after the S10e, had dual aperture
Funner fact: Dual aperture main camera was introduced in the S9+ (regular S9 did not have one) and continued in the Note 9 and S10 series.
@wilyamiyooo Nope, went well into the Note10 series. I owned one before. S10 lineup wasn't the last one to have it
@@brent3522 oh yeah didnt say that it ended with the S10 series. It stopped with the S20 though.
@@wilyamiyoooit had dual aperture, just no telephoto lens..
0:56 Holy crap it just occurred to be that 2019 was almost SIX YEARS AGO! That is almost kinda sad.
Still holding on to my galaxy s10+ from 2019
I always say the s10 line, especially the 10plus was the most perfect smart phone ove used, if they could've added 90hz it woulda been icing on cake.. such a good phone
Loved this one. Had one. Had everythyng except one thing. GOOD BATTERY.
Using my S10 plus today, still holds up fine. If you dont have great lighting forget photos, but Its still impressive with good natural light
Still using mine. I talked myself into using it another year. At the end of next year I'll probably talk myself into using it for another year after that
The subreddit of galaxy s10 is the biggest subreddit focused on specific phone series. It says something
I have this phone way back 2 months ago. I really love the the compact factor of the phone but the reason that I upgraded is the heating issue and the battery. I am using the snapdragon version but scrolling on social media makes the phone heat upp really fast. Missing my s10e so muchh
Still one of the best. Still using it today. Perfect for music lovers out there with it’s headphonejack and sd card support. Amazing phone.
I've used my s10e for 4 years and it has served me well, I wish they made phones like this.
This phone is great, the one thing I wish it had was a centered front camera. But this is indeed a complete package, probably the last one.
My phone I'm on it now I've had a new battery this year and it's now like new again
Still have my s10e as a backup phone and this guy had seen a lot of phones comes and go and he still working great
Got my S10+ right now. I plan on changing it since the battery can't last, even after replacing it twice. The S10+ really served me well, still an amazing phone.
my S10+ is still going strong, just started using it again at home for varius things. Battery is fine, glass is fine and its still snappy.
Still using an s10 from launch. Battery at 72 percent of original capacity and is the inferior euro/exynos chip but, still happy overall.
The Exynos variant isn't inferior anymore after the updates.
The Prism White was like a piece of jewelry with the polished frame and opal-like back! That and the Aura Glow on the Note 10 series were so great. The purple on the S24 series is okay, but it lacks a "POP" factor.
On my S10+, which I had been using for 5 years, the glass back cover slowly came off at one corner
Wish they have new model using exact form factor with less bezel, and from now technology we can apply more power battery in it. That will be pefect
I bought this phone refurbished back in 2023. I love it for all the reasons you mentioned, but I wouldn't recomment it because of its terrible battery life. The battery wasn't great at the start (3100 mAh only), but a 5 year old one is catastrophic. I replaced the battery with a spare, but it has less capacity than the original one when it was new.
im rocking that phone right now and apart from battery and camera its great for being so portable
Best S series ever. 2019 was a great year of phone releases, also Huawei P30 series deserves a spot.
man, your content brings so much memories! reminding me of these hidden gems. I'm just upset Samsung didn't update these phones or else I would be hanging onto their tech for dear life.
Still using it today, going to upgrade to S24 after 4 years with the S10e
Still use an S10 as my backup device. My favourite phone of all time by far
a friend of mine was using it in 2020 and he was absolutely happy. great video
And even before when I was still working, the battery was really not good
Watching this on my s10e I bought 3 months ago, after I dropped my pixel 4a 5g. Running lineage and it's a great phone!
Man your channel is so underrated fr
5:03 i believe yes as well, I use a sony xperia 1 mark 6 and man i don't think i can go back to the under-screen fingerprint reader anymore
I've had mine for 5 years and still love it. Alas, nowadays I only use it as a "Walkman" - that battery has been awful for a long time.
My first Samsung, was genuinely impressed. Great performance for the size. I regret not getting the flamingo pink one.
And now in the S-series if you want a not so large size screen phone your only option is the base S-series phone which earlier was a choice between base S or the FE model 😢.
wrong look at the iphone mini sales
@elecmagnetic That phone's biggest downside was battery life and not it's screen size particularly
@@AkerfeldtTveitan-yi4xmThey actually destroyed themselves. They had a niche that they traded for a saturated market where they have no incentive.
Haha, all I needed to see was that thumbnail to know what phone it was. Now you’ve made me want to look for that S10e. Miss that phone, and can’t wait for your 100K!
They are next level. Thank you sir. You might overtake me at this rate 😅🤣
Back panel and main camera glass broken, screen cracked with pixel lines running on edges , battery at 65%. Bought it on day one and still daily driving it. cant find anything to replace it and will stick to s10e until its dead(maybe switch to s24 or s25 if nothing compact comes before end of 2025)
Was a s10 plus user, was a beast, ultrasonic fp sensor, a heartrate monitor, headphone jack, wireless charging, great oled screen, camera was good but not perfect
i still have my s10e, bought it in late 2019 and already chewing up 4 batteries. thats the only downside with this phone, the battery life is so poor but dammit this phone rocks and im gonna keep it as long as i can
Still using today.
My wife still uses hers alongside a S24+.
Trading in my S10 for the S20U because I fell for the marketing is seriously one of my biggest regrets.
The only reason I upgraded to the S23 from the S10e is because I jumped in the pool with my tiny powerhouse . I actually miss it.
My mum bought her s10 e when it first released and is still using it this day, her rear cover does come naturally now so she's thinking of upgrading🤣
I loved the s10e and the s23 for their size and a blend of the two would be a dream.
Unbelievable how this channel is reviewing all my favorite tech products,
i just started watching you a few days ago and you upload a video about the phone im using its so crazy
Love my s10 plus to this day. The best phones ever made, do miss using it as daily driver my s24 plus doesn't have the same charm that had
