I've studied the hell out of acoustic physics lol I put the whole thing into a video but I calculated it using different measurements-- Physics is interesting that way; all formulas can calculate the same things but if you measure the time slightly differently than the distance for example, huge disparities in answers can easily occur.
If there was a sound type: Rock and Ice would be weak to it, Ground, Water, and Grass would resist it, and Steel would be immune to it. It would be weak to Ground.
TPDP (a touhoumon game) has a Sound-type that resists Water, Nether (basically Ghost), and itself, while being weak to Wind (basically Flying) and Electric. It's SE against Fighting, Illusion (kinda Psychic), and Warped (a totally original type added mainly for balancing issues), while being NVE against itself, Wind and Light (kinda original in its own right). Quite a bit different from what you imagined, but I can see Rock and Ice being weak to Sound in a Pokemon game. TPDP doesn't have those individual types, as they're just mixed into Earth (kinda Ground) and Water respectively.

I imagine the scream mentioned in the dex is a sort of "average Exploud bellow", and by no means a record. Perhaps only a few Explouds have been found screaming at such fitting spots and possibly partially underground even louder than that, and they have caused earthquakes? It could just be the record, rather than your average 'loud.

I'm extremely sensitive to sounds due to my Asperger's, so things that are only a little loud to people, is ridiculously and painfully loud to me. So I tend to flinch easily at sudden noises. I've gotten a bit better at dealing with continuous loud noises like starting up the lawn mower, but I prefer making sure I have ear plugs around for that anyways

The Gold entry also contradicts Entei's creation story. Entei was a *different* Pokémon, before it died when the Burned Tower... burned down. It was resurrected by Ho-oh. So this means there's only 1 Entei in the world.

It's a bass machine. Bass can shake the ground around you if turned up enough. And, in truth, the move "Earthquake" is not accurate to what is going on. All it is is shaking the local area and not the plates themselves. In a way, if Exploud had deep enough bass, it could cause what would feel like an earthquake, even though it actually is not one.

Bombs cause small, localized seismic events (when they're big enough), the shockwave of a bomb is functionally just a hyper compressed Soundwave, and that's really all that Exploud is doing, only over a prolonged period of time... It's entirely possible for it to be able to just keep that up for 30/45 seconds and register on a Richter scale in a localized area. Maybe a half mile radius from the epicenter? Oh, and you forgot about infrasound. Ya'know, that thing elephants can do that you can't actually hear, but from dozens of feet away it can feel like a person grabbing a hold of your diaphragm and shaking it with a jackhammer motor. Yeah, that's fun. So imagine an Exploud, using infrasound (cuz they never said he couldn't go outside human hearing range) and just let out a "silent" nuke of sub sonic shockwaves into the area around it for nearly a solid minute. That. THAT would be terrifying. And lethal. Extremely lethal.

I'm pretty sure Germany during WW2 was attempting to develop a sound based weapon that used focused sound waves to bring down bombers. Its not the actual sound that does the damage. Its the pressure created by the waves.

Gallade is 100% male, his typing is Psychic/Fighting but learns about 7 moves for fighters, aprox. 17 psychic moves and he's unique from the rest of fighting pokemon, he learns fairy moves, Dazzling gleam is really the question for this prince, also him and Gardevoir are the only mutation branch that can evolve to their ultimate expression, the mega forms.
If he directed his vibrations at the ground at the right frequency he could easily make the ground shake. Maybe not an earthquake but it would feel like you are standing next to a stopping T-Rex that is also roaring

Sound isn’t a type. It travels on wind or Flying type.
Plus the normal type allows it to learn more moves of various types.
That second point doesn't hold much ground, Nidoqueen and Nidoking can learn a very wide variety of moves and they're Poison/Ground

Also, I'd say that it having Earthquake is because it CAN do that with it's voice. Not every pokemon does the same attacks the same way. For example, Slam states that it can be done with tails, vines, or other similar appendages.
I'm pretty sure Germany during WW2 was attempting to develop a sound based weapon that used focused sound waves to bring down bombers. Its not the actual sound that does the damage. Its the pressure created by the waves.

I live in Virginia, and we had a 3.0 eath quake a few years back. I knew something was up because I could hear it. I looked out the window to my neighbors, and I saw their window and car shaking, and the sound got louder. I freaked out because i had never been in an earth quake so

If he directed his vibrations at the ground at the right frequency he could easily make the ground shake. Maybe not an earthquake but it would feel like you are standing next to a stopping T-Rex that is also roaring
I think exploud can possibly filter out the water or it is stored in the pipes until it either evoprates or gets blasted out by his loud uproars
The Exploud line has been I'm my top 6 fav Pokemon especially since that one part in the detective Pikachu movie. Tight af
I'm pretty sure that earthquake just causes surface tremors, so maybe that's what exploud does when it yells at the ground.
