Formula doesn't work with newer versions of C4D, as some people have mentioned. Using C4D 2024.1.0, I've found a formula that worked: round(rnd(40;100)) Obviously adjust numbers as needed for different effects. Beyond that, I don't have much experience with this sort of thing. Great experiment!
Thanx for sharing. Enjoyed the proces and result. THe formula is probably key to the whole setup and other than manually animating all individual cubes I would have never achieved the same result. So thanks for the hard work.
Hi please tell me why my splines after adding to the formula move very fast what can I do that the splines do not move but only cubes and with normal speed?
Not sure I got it right, is the Formula you've used this one: round(rnd;100) Could you explain how does it work? I'm not that good at math/formulas, but I guess it rounds up to full numbers the random values from 0 to 100?
Yes, it's because the cloner can not recognize animations from the spline tag. So I needed another way to have the object animated procedurally, and stil be able to use the cloners offset time. And that is why I used the spine effector
This is broken for the later versions of cinema-the later it gets the more broken this effect gets for some reason, or not even the effect, just cinema in general

thank u for working formula)
Thankyou
Would really love a detailed video on how you achieved your final result. The lighting and materials are superb
Nice approach! Thank you
Great technique thank you!
will would u be able to do a texturing and lighting tutorial? this is amazing!
Can't wait to see texturing tutorial! I search a lot try to fix the problem but no idea!

Very cool your technique! I'll try that out with a Logotype!
thanks Lukas
Good tutorial, I would like another one on how to make the cubes not overlap.
Hi Lukas! Lovely and useful tutorial as always. I'm wondering how you made multiple different materials within the cubes cloner?
you`ve opened up a lot, thank you

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing
Awesome!
I was waiting to see this video nice tricks to learn ❤
Very cool!
très cool, bravo
can you please make a lighting and texturing tutorial for this project 😊😊
Yeah 😊
🤭🤭
@@lukasthorup Did you make it I can't find it
nice

Yeah that's the Formula. It's just a random seed number
got the same issue, im using a later version to him and yeah idk the formula doesnt do anything
@@lukasthorup I got the same problem, It worked when you type it your self, It doesnt seem to work when you copy and paste it
Very-very amazing video i like it
Thanks👍
Any particular reason why you used the Spline Effector (in Object "Deformation" mode) instead of simply using the "Align to Spline" tag?
Yes, it's because the cloner can not recognize animations from the spline tag. So I needed another way to have the object animated procedurally, and stil be able to use the cloners offset time. And that is why I used the spine effector
Please make a texturing and lighting with rendering tutorial please
May I know how to use different color in the cube?
dammit i think in r25 the formula part has been changed
Hi Lukas! I followed your tutorial but when I set the formula the objects jitter, the formula moves the splines in a jnittery way, how can I fix this?
me too!!!why?
@@zjz-zp7wm hey, I ended up using this formula: round(rnd(100;100)) don't ask me why but it worked 😂
@@marimar5279 wow!!thank you🤝
good. thx
wow!!
Hi there for some reason the time offset of the formula is not offseting the cubes do you know why can this happen?
having the same problem, did you figure that out?
I followed this setup to the "T" but the animation results are jittery and weird in C4D 2024...
same happened to me...
你在他公式基础上做一些修改,他本身是round(rnd,100),你可以改为round(rnd(100; 100))
I can't manage to make it work in R26, any idea ?
It should just be the same

Yeah, I guess it's just maxon being maxon😂
the only problem I can see is that the cubes interest while going into the final position...:(
Yeah that's right. But you can put a dynamic tag on it and it should probably help
how about the render?
Do you wanna know how I rendered it?
@@lukasthorup yeah of course,I'm attracted by this beautiful square!
@@李白-p4f Well stay tuned then because im making a Rendering video soon ;)
@@lukasthorup Amazing! I promise, I will be your Loyal fans
@@lukasthorup come oooonnn
is this possible in blender?
