It matters not what the location is, it is your railway and you run what pleases you. I have a N scale layout of the Settle and Carlisle station Armathwaite and some would have a complete shock what runs on it!!!! Most enjoyable...more please!!! Stay safe and healthy Cheers, Bob
Thanks. Yes I don't need any justification however as you will have seen from the many videos the railway is all about re creating the S&D as accurately as possible. I allow myself the odd rash moment and run the NE Pacifics but only occasionally.
Yes I know something of a shock. I've said before but as a teenager living in York in the late 50's/60's I have a love of the LNER and its Pacifics so Bath Green Park has a stealth allocation of an A1, A3 and now an A4.
Beautifully detailed layout, truly humbling. I'm a long time lurker to your channel and have enjoyed all your videos as they are so very calming, no fuss, no music just quiet running (love the noise the carriage wheels make over points etc). I know this maybe a cheeky request but would love to see a bit more Southern engine workings of the Bulleid and Maunsell ilcke as im a SR nut. I myself build locos from, yes this may sound daft, lego and I'm 50 years in age but still a big kid at heart and find it the best way to relax. I have a Flickr site should you wish to see my work though it's not all trains: www.flickr.com/photos/legoite/ Thank you once again for a wonderful escape from these troubling times.
I am normally absolute about the recreation of the S&D but just occasionally let he NE Pacifics out to flex their legs. As the loco has just been released I wanted to post the first test run on the '0' Gauge Guild Forum for others to see.
Pristine though the model A4 is, she seems to have lost her way. But, anything is possible in model form. A memorable taste of what might have been, should the S&D have survived, into preservation, beyond the closure? After all, the WSR etc., have hosted visitors from far and wide.
See replies above. The A4 will be gently weathered and I'm thinking about whether to apply the yellow diagonal strip that they ended up with for the last couple of years. Controversial?
And why shouldn't you run an A4 on the S&D? It's your layout. Run what you want. I have (bought) photos of a 16xx at Dornoch and a Bulleid (UNITED STATES LINES at Carnforth and on Shap, all three views in the 1960s. Keep going!

Me: "Oh look an A4 on the S&D." *Sudden realization* "Wait WHAT?!"
Nice video.

Thanks glad that you are enjoying BGP. Modelling in all its forms is enjoyable and therapeutic. Keep it going.
Looks like a very nice model! Would love to see a future video of you weathering it to your standard. All the best, Clint
Yes a gently weathering I think
Great as someone in the model world anything is possible. I have a train simulator Trainz2009 you should see what I run together

Nice! If only!
Thanks
So she brought a different rake of coaches back from Bournemouth than she took there.

I have to admit that it is a luxury item and does not run in he S&D timetable which I follow to the letter and so only comes out occasionally.
Oh the engineers have been out bridge strengthening! or did you just get a one off dispensation? Thanks as always Dave.
Glad that you enjoyed this brief interlude. Would have been some heavy duty bridge strengthening!
@@bathgreenpark2485 or someone just flat out lied to the civil engineer!
Exchange trials right! LOL.
Absolutely OR an enthusiasts special?
Strewth! A Streak!
Yes it is a shock to the system. Read the top reply above which explains the WHY
Great! 👏😊
Thanks
