Can't get enough of this band lately. They're so good, don't know why it took me so long to get into them but now I'm hooked. Heavy, raw, clean, talented
The year Heaviest Matter came out (TBH, I completely forget when it was) I was reading a Lamb of God interview in some metal magazine and they were asking each member what they'd been listening to recently and Randy said, "this new band Gojira and their album Heaviest Matter of the Universe", so I went and checked it out and have loved them ever since. 'The Link', their first album had me liking them even more than HMotU.
I am 54, been playing guitar 40 years, and come from the classic rock era.....I found Gojira by accident 2 years ago, and LOVE this band!!!!! Great playing, writing, riffs....they kick ASS!
Let's not forget Jean-Michel Labadie's amazing stage presence and bass sound, and the shy yet talented Christian Andreu guys :-) But Joe and Mario are indeed amazingly talented
Muhammad Irsyazman they’re very different guitars aside from being T types (roughly tile shaped). Different brands, pickups, neck profiles. They’re run through very different amps too lol.
I saw gojira live back in august, then I saw soulfly in September, and i can say with 100% certainty that Joe duplantier is miles ahead of max cavaleira live vocally and guitar wise. Max is getting really old though
Ladies and gentlemen, please stand up for french national anthem

@Pugna yes
3:39 that's how you play the bass
Bass tone in general is brutal

4:17, what's that on Mario's spine?
Probably something like a microphone
If you mean the tape, that's for his InEar cable to fix it. And behind him is his receiver for his In Ear monitoring.
@@Chriswasreigns that makes sense. He's gotta be able to hear a click track
@@michaelczesnozki1671 yes, and his band members.

I will find everyone who say that if you Play bass with a pick its trash.
