It's been a crazy year, and I know a tough one for a lot of us. But let's celebrate the end of it, and here's to YOUR music and YOUR guitar playing improving in 2020! Looking forward to helping everyone even more in 2021 stay healthy and Happy New Year.
great tutorial thanks! you might want to spend more time explaining how to play those last chords. that would be helpful for newer guitar players. otherwise very well done!
I hear you. It's tough to get everything right for every level online. I do offer full tabs for my youtube lessons on my patreon. The tabs have all the guitar parts I teach written out. That way you can see those diagrams and tabs. You can get some free tabs and access here: www.jonmaclennan.com/tabs
Thanks! For sure it is a bit more challenging with all the jazz chords. I just added the extra shapes in the description. A lot of them I use thumb chords on. An easier way to play it would be just remove the bass note and play the chords with 3 or 4 string instead, just remove the lowest note from the chord. Often with a band you don't need this note because the bass player is playing it. Hope that helps.
Hi Jon great lesson! All of your selections have been right on!! Hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion. I'd love to learn to play Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel. Thanks
Good lesson but guitar should be in Eb tuning so chords are G, A, etc. rather than sharps/flats. Sounds better with open A ringing out in verse sections
Yah those are slash chords, very typical of piano players. You can get a tab for it here along with all the other tabs I have for the channel www.jonmaclennan.com/ytv hope that helps!
You did a nice rendition - assuming the guitarist is not trying to play it in a band with a keyboard player. Like for solo guitar for example. But if you're looking for the guitar part from the recording, this is not it.

What model is your Tele please?. With the white binder, I'm thinking it's Japanese model?
GREAT JOB, WELL DONE
Do you use a distortion pedal?
Why did you only show fingering of first few chords and not all of them
So cool, such an iconic groove!
Great job Jon ! You're really good
