I remember seeing Titanic in theaters back in 1997. The theater was packed to the brim and it was a very eerie experience, especially after the ship sank and all the frozen bodies were shown in the water. It was so quiet and everyone just sat in their chairs not moving or making a sound. It was one of those shared audience experiences that only a theater can offer. No cell phones everywhere or other distractions back then. I’ll never forget it.
That’s how it was at times in the theater watching its rerelease early this year, aside from occasional laughs, it was quiet. Wonderful experience watching that film in the theater.
Aliens is my favorite film of all time. I think I watched it a bizzilion times as a kid and I still watch it all the time now. The extended cut is even better than the theatrical cut which I thought couldn’t get any better!
The Terminator is my favorite James Cameron movie. I remember watching it on VHS in the 80s when I was a kid and loving it. The low budget night time feel and the slasher vibe is outstanding. T2 is great - I remember seeing it in the theater when it released, but man, the first movie is hands down my favorite.

Titanic is my favorite film from James Cameron. I love how it's mostly based on the real event. And James Cameron actually went to the people who had actual blueprints of the ship so he could get the size right and everything on it.
I saw Titanic in theaters twice when I was 15 years old and even at that age I was familiar with the Titanic disaster because my Dad had books on it and stuff.. and the film was like going back in damn time machine to 1912... very well made film and one of the most ambitious productions in the history of hollywood feature filmmaking..
I’ll be the one to disagree here. I watched titanic when I was 9 because it sounded dope. Turned it on and it was basically 2 hours of bullshit. Made my mom skip to when all the cool stuff happens. A 3 hour movie that could’ve been 45 minutes. Maybe it’s because I was 9 LOL
Titanic is my most favourite. It’s got everything. It’s the movie where James Cameron pulled out all the stops, even if you don’t appreciate the romance you can atleast appreciate the craft.
Dude I totally disagree with putting the Abyss down near the bottom next to Pirhana II. Now granted, the Terminator films and Aliens would be at the top of my list. But the Abyss would definitely be right behind them for me, as I think it beats Titanic, True Lies and the Avatar movies (particularly the story!). But I've also been watching the film for 30+ years, so I probably have a much stronger connection to the Abyss than you do.
How can you not tear up when Vasquez is telling her young children a story in their bed, as she knows the titanic is going down and they're going to die, especially with the song "nearer my god to thee" by the violinists 😢 😢 😢
And then you have the older couple lying in bed together. Their backstory is so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. Their names were Isidor and Ida Straus. Isidor was actually the co-owner of Macy's at the time of his death. When the Titanic sank, the officer was willing to let him on a lifeboat, but he didn't think men should be saved so long as there were still women and children onboard. He wanted his wife to escape, but she in turn refused to leave without him. Ultimately, (at least as Cameron depicts it) they died in each other's arms in the bed of their stateroom.

Titanic is one of my favorites of all time. I wore out the second VHS tape from the double VHS set that was released. Wore out the second tape because that is when the ship sinks which was my favorite part haha.
As much as I love Terminator 2: Judgment Day and it's probably in my top 10 favorite movies of all time, I like The Terminator better. The Terminator is actually my top favorite movie of all time! This movie is a masterpiece and I love everything about it. I'm a big fan of horror slashers, action, and romance, and this movie puts all of them together surrounded by a great story, characters and acting. I also love the dark, gritty, and neo-noir setting, as well as the incredible music, which I like better than the second movie. I also love the special effects. I'm a big fan of stop motion animation, so I loved when they did that for the terminator endoskeleton, which made it look more creepy. I even love the Arnold puppet they used, which I always found amusing. I love practical effects like that in movies, especially from the 80s. The only other movies from this list that I've seen are True Lies, Titanic, and Aliens, which are all great movies, especially the latter. Aliens is probably in my top 20 favorite movies of all time, and if not, then it's definitely in the top 30.

Just like how Aliens explores the themes of motherhood, Terminator 2 explores the themes of fatherhood with Arnold's T-800 becoming a father to John and the only father who remained loyal and decicated to staying by John's side to protect him.
I was not expecting The Abyss to be where you put it... and I don't know how you've never heard anyone talking praise about it... you should be in the circles where people talk praise about it. That movie is a masterpiece. One of the most intense, atmospheric thrillers ever. You continue to surprise me lol.
My James Cameron Films Ranking: 1. Terminator 2 Judgment Day 2. Aliens 3. The Terminator 4. Titanic 5. True Lies 6. Avatar: Way of the Water 7. Avatar 8. The Abyss 9. Piranha 2
Dude True Lies NEEDS a blu-ray realest right now. RIGHT NOW! I think True Lies is Arnie’s best movie. One of the most underrated action movies ever made
Would you ever consider doing "Ranking an Actor's filmography"? I would love to see you rank all of Dicaprio's movies... as well as many other actors. Or if they have too many films, do a top 10 of their films. 👍 Would be AWESOME.
Titanic is probably Cameron's biggest flex as a director. So incredibly well-made and executed. I will always love Abyss, personally and hope that they release the director's cut with improved CGI (the tidal waves at the end in this cut are...not great). I completely agree with your assessment of Avatar's lack of strong characters (although I do thoroughly love Stephen Lang as Quaritch...and still want him as the MCU's Cable), but I think Way of Water is slightly better in that department, although Neytiri is underutilized until the 3rd act when she goes absolutely feral (probably my favorite scene in the film). Great list, again! The ONLY thing I hate about T2 is that after that film, every other movie in the franchise (aside from the criminally underappreciated Salvation...which I will die defending) made Arnold a good guy. That is a one-off trick. Was perfect for T2, was crap every other instance.
You’re absolutely right about T2. Making Arnold’s terminator good only works one time. Especially since every time you have a new terminator movie featuring Arnold he’s playing a different character.
It's really unfortunate that Neytiri is sidelined for much of Avatar 2. Zoe Saldana was awesome in the role. She was good in the first one, but nothing about her stuck out to me. In this one, she's so great in the third act, when her son's death makes her almost insane with grief. Sam Worthington's performance as Jake Sully has never been anything to write home about, yet he gets a much bigger role throughout the film. Shame.
Haven’t seen Abyss yet (I will soon) or piranha 2 (don’t care to see it) 1. Aliens 2. Terminator 2 3. Avatar 2 4. Terminator 5. Titanic 6. Avatar 7. True Lies Aliens and T2 are literally my number 1 and 2 favorite movies ever and are basically perfect in my opinion. I know having Avatar 2 that high is unpopular but I am in love with it, I’ve seen it three times and am driving an hour and a half to see it in 4DX tomorrow. Terminator is still one of my favorites ever. Titanic is amazing. Avatar and True Lies could basically be tied, and it’s painful to have a last place here as I absolutely love all of these movies.
Pssh you're trippin, The Abyss is a hitter in both concept and execution, and imo it's one of the most interesting movies when it comes the making of the movie.
JC , one of my favourite directors, such a great filmmaker I kinda just wish he wouldn’t focus so much on Avatar if I’m honest. But here’s my 5 favourite JC films 5. True Lies (Needs a Blu Ray release I agree) 4. Titanic (The only ‘girly’ film I actually don’t mind watching.. ) 3 Aliens 2 Terminator T2 1Terminator (it’s just such an iconic movie for me, one my absolute favourite films of all time, I adore this a-lot, yes even more so than T2!!
To be honest. I felt the same way about Cameron, but after seeing The Way of Water I’m actually excited see the next Avatar films. This is my personal ranking. 1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 2. Avatar: The Way of Water 3. The Terminator 4. True Lies 5. Titanic 6. Aliens 7. Avatar 8. The Abyss 9. Piranha 2
My list might be a bit controversial, but here it goes: 1. The Terminator 2. Aliens 3. The Abyss 4. T2: Judgement Day 5. True Lies 6. Avatar 2: The Way of Water 7. Avatar 8. Titanic 9. Piranha 2
Terminator 2: Judgement Day is the one film I absolutely would’ve wanted to experience for the first time when my grandpa was still alive. I only saw it several years after he passed away, and I instantly knew we would’ve absolutely loved watching it together. That applies to this and Jurassic Park.
1. Aliens 2. True Lies 3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day 4. Titanic 5. The Abyss 6. The Terminator 7. Avatar: The Way of Water 8. Ghosts of the Abyss 9. Avatar 10. Aliens in the Deep 11. Pirahna 2: The Spawning
Here is my ranking of James Cameron movies that i have seen: 8: Avatar: The Way Of Water 7: Avatar 6: The Abyss 5: True Lies 4: Titanic 3: The Terminator 2: Aliens 1: Terminator 2: Judgment Day Great ranking Cody and take care and stay safe 👍.
James Cameron is my favourite movie maker of all time! Cody's top 3 on his list here are all in my top ten favourite movies ever. Aliens, T2, T1 and True Lies are all fucking awesome!
I still find it crazy that even though I was aware of the Terminator franchise as a kid, I didn’t watch it until 2000 and it was because David Duchovny was leaving The X Files and he was being “replaced” by Robert Patrick from T-2. My dad said this is the guy replacing Mulder and we watched Terminator 2. Lol 😂😂🤦♂️
9. Piranha II: The Spawning 8. Avatar 7. The Abyss 6. True Lies 5. Titanic 4. The Terminator 3. Avatar: The Way of Water 2. Aliens 1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day Great video btw
My father introduced me the projects & the world of James Cameron. Starting with Terminator II: Judgement Day, plus I was 3 months old when it was released in 1991. My father rented on Blockbuster on VHS📼& love it ever since, had the Spanish vhs then got the dvd a year after I was done with high school, I got the special edition 2 disc of Terminator II, The 1ST Terminator I saw it with my cousin on vhs then got the dvd, also I've heard of The Abyss so I pull the trigger on the special edition dvd & the extended version make sense instead of the theatrical version, also Avatar I saw it with my family in 2009, 7 months after I graduated high school. & recently just saw Avatar: The Way Of Water with friends for a pals birthday & it's totally💯worth it!
1. The Terminator 2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3. Aliens 4. Titanic 5. True Lies 6. The Abyss 7. Avatar 8. Avatar 2: The Way Of Water 9. Piranha 2: The Spawning They're all pretty good though. Even Piranha 2 is watchable.
That’s a great list. Personally I have Avatar: The Way of Water at number 2, but like you said when it comes to James Cameron everybody has a different list.
Terminator 2 is my favorite movie of all time. I can still remember seeing it in the cinema and at the end of the credits I thought this is best thing ever. And I still enjoy watching the movie. Too bad all the sequels after that were pretty bad.
My list: 1- Terminator 2 2- The Terminator 3- Aliens 4- True Lies 5- Titanic 6- THe Abyss 7- Avatar 8- Avatar meets Abyss 9 - Piranha 2-.. (But i need your Guillermo del Toro Movies Ranked :P )
I think I’d go 3. T2 2. Aliens 1. Terminator The original Terminator just packs the most emotional punch. That last shot of Linda Hamilton driving into the desert with the storm. Man, that’s one heck of a movie. And Kyle Reese doesn’t get his just due as a hero and Arnold has never been better. Linda Hamilton has a great character arch too.
Halloween Ends released early at Walmart in store. I found a 4K exclusive collectors edition. It’s release date is Dec 27, but I picked up a copy today and it’s Dec 21. Not sure if it’s just my local Walmart, or if it’s all Walmarts but, keep an eye out if you want an early copy. Just a heads up. 🤘✌️
My ranking of his films: 1. Titanic 2. Aliens 3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day 4. The Terminator 5. Avatar 6. The Abyss (I know, putting Titanic above T2 and T1, even Aliens sounds blasphemous. But I am a fan of Leo, I love the romance between him and Kate, the chemistry between them is off-charts, the score is fantastic, love the visuals, and fantastic direction. Even if Titanic is number 1, I still love all his other movies. Cameron has less films, but his films always have excellent quality. Also still haven’t watched True Lies yet.)
1. Aliens 2. Terminator 2 Judgement Day 3. The Terminator 4. True Lies 5. The Abyss 6. Avatar 7. Titanic 8. Piranha 2: The Spawning My Top 5 Are Some Of My Favorite Movies Of All Time
Good ranking of James Cameron's movies Cody I would out the Abyss after the avatar movies but I need to see it again. The Abyss made it possible for James Cameron to make the T-1000 with the effect from the film and Yeah I do prefer Aliens over Alien the mother aspect to protect Newt was a great motivator for Ripley and Terminator 2 the best sequel ever made no green screen and thousands of hours of work James Cameron really pushed the boundaries of technology in that film back in 91 Happy holidays take care cody take care cody🆒🆒👍👍🎄🎄❄❄🧑🎄🧑🎄🤶🤶
My Ranking 4. Terminator 2 - Controversial take. It’s a great movie but didn’t made it to my top 50, probably put it in my top 100.I still enjoyed the action scenes and I love how the characters develop from scared for their lives into a badass. Arnold’s performance was awesome. 3. Avatar: The Way of Water - Not joking with you guys but I’ve never actually seen the first one. I enjoyed it because it has fun characters, great cinematography, stunning visuals and a fun adventure. 2. The Terminator - It’s super entertaining and has tons of executed action scenes. I also love the chemistry/interactions between Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese. 1. Titanic - It’s really shocking how people calls this movie “overrated” and doesn’t show up in many top 100 movies list I’ve seen especially top 10 best movies of all time. The performances from Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet is great, especially with them being in character. Definitely in the top 5 cinematography movies of all time, top 3 romance movies and top 10 best movies of all time. The cinematography, editing and visuals is great, especially with combining together and all scenes are super entertaining, making it as one of the most rewatchable movies of all time. This is not only my favorite movie from James Cameron but also one of my favorite movies of all time. Sorry for the long paragraph on Titanic, I love it and truly one of the best movies of all time.

Can't wait for the next installments.
Piranha 2 and Titanic at the same exact level. That is bold.
Just like how Aliens explores the themes of motherhood, Terminator 2 explores the themes of fatherhood with Arnold's T-800 becoming a father to John and the only father who remained loyal and decicated to staying by John's side to protect him.
That Halloween Ends shirt rules! Another great video!!
I was not expecting The Abyss to be where you put it... and I don't know how you've never heard anyone talking praise about it... you should be in the circles where people talk praise about it. That movie is a masterpiece. One of the most intense, atmospheric thrillers ever. You continue to surprise me lol.
True Lies is, quite arguably, Arnold Schwarzenegger's best performance overall. I love everything that film.
I agree. GIVE ME THE GODDAMN PAGE!!! That part makes me gut laugh!!!🤣🤣🤣
My James Cameron Films Ranking:
1. Terminator 2 Judgment Day
2. Aliens
3. The Terminator
4. Titanic
5. True Lies
6. Avatar: Way of the Water
7. Avatar
8. The Abyss
9. Piranha 2
Dude True Lies NEEDS a blu-ray realest right now. RIGHT NOW!
I think True Lies is Arnie’s best movie. One of the most underrated action movies ever made
My list:
1. Aliens
2. Terminator
3. T2
4. Abyss
5. True Lies
6. Avatar WOW
7. Avatar
8. Titanic
Would you ever consider doing "Ranking an Actor's filmography"? I would love to see you rank all of Dicaprio's movies... as well as many other actors. Or if they have too many films, do a top 10 of their films. 👍 Would be AWESOME.
2:29 My favorite underwater movie!!🌊🏆🎞
Shame.
Haven’t seen Abyss yet (I will soon) or piranha 2 (don’t care to see it)
1. Aliens
2. Terminator 2
3. Avatar 2
4. Terminator
5. Titanic
6. Avatar
7. True Lies
Aliens and T2 are literally my number 1 and 2 favorite movies ever and are basically perfect in my opinion.
8. True lies
7. The abyss
6. way of water
5. Aliens
4. Avatar
3. Terminator
2. Titanic
1. T2
But here’s my 5 favourite JC films
5. True Lies (Needs a Blu Ray release I agree)
4. Titanic (The only ‘girly’ film I actually don’t mind watching.. )
3 Aliens
2 Terminator T2
1Terminator (it’s just such an iconic movie for me, one my absolute favourite films of all time, I adore this a-lot, yes even more so than T2!!
To be honest. I felt the same way about Cameron, but after seeing The Way of Water I’m actually excited see the next Avatar films. This is my personal ranking.
1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
2. Avatar: The Way of Water
3. The Terminator
4. True Lies
5. Titanic

My list might be a bit controversial, but here it goes:

2. Aliens
3. The Abyss
4. T2: Judgement Day
5. True Lies
6. Avatar 2: The Way of Water
7. Avatar
8. Titanic

I actually think that’s a pretty cool ranking. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of The Abyss, but that’s just my opinion.
Cody, you forgot to mention after Cameron added the S to Alien, he then drew a line through the S to make a $. Then turned back to them again!

07. Avatar
06. Avatar: Way of Water
05. Titanic
04. True Lies
03. The Terminator
02. Aliens
1. Terminator 2
I'm one of the few people who prefers Terminator 1 over the second. Love the horror vibe the movie has and love Arnold as a bad guy
You are not alone
Terminator 2: Judgement Day is the one film I absolutely would’ve wanted to experience for the first time when my grandpa was still alive. I only saw it several years after he passed away, and I instantly knew we would’ve absolutely loved watching it together. That applies to this and Jurassic Park.
1. Aliens
2. True Lies

4. Titanic
5. The Abyss
6. The Terminator
7. Avatar: The Way of Water

1.) Titanic
2.) Avatar 2
3.) Terminator 1
4.) Terminator 2
5.) Avatar
6.) Aliens
I still find it crazy that even though I was aware of the Terminator franchise as a kid, I didn’t watch it until 2000 and it was because David Duchovny was leaving The X Files and he was being “replaced” by Robert Patrick from T-2. My dad said this is the guy replacing Mulder and we watched Terminator 2. Lol 😂😂🤦♂️
1. Terminator 1
2. Aliens
3. Terminator 2
4. Who cares when you have #1-3?
9. Piranha II: The Spawning

3. Aliens
4. Titanic
5. True Lies
6. The Abyss
7. Avatar
8. Avatar 2: The Way Of Water
9. Piranha 2: The Spawning
They're all pretty good though. Even Piranha 2 is watchable.
That’s a great list. Personally I have Avatar: The Way of Water at number 2, but like you said when it comes to James Cameron everybody has a different list.
My ranking is 9. Titanic 8. Piranha 2 7. The Abyss 6. Aliens 5. True Lies 4. Avatar The Way Of Water 3. The Terminator 2. Avatar 1. Terminator 2
Terminator 2 is my favorite movie of all time. I can still remember seeing it in the cinema and at the end of the credits I thought this is best thing ever. And I still enjoy watching the movie. Too bad all the sequels after that were pretty bad.
For real. The world needs a True Lies blu-ray
My list: 1- Terminator 2 2- The Terminator 3- Aliens 4- True Lies 5- Titanic 6- THe Abyss 7- Avatar 8- Avatar meets Abyss 9 - Piranha 2-.. (But i need your Guillermo del Toro Movies Ranked :P )
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Aliens
The Terminator
Avatar
Titanic
Avatar: The Way Of Water
True Lies
The Abyss
After watching Halloween (2018), I couldn't stop thinking that we are overdue for True Lies 2.
1- Aliens 10/10
2- Terminator 10/10
3- Terminator 2 10/10
4- True lies 9.5/10
5- Titanic 9.2/10
6- Avatar 9/10
7- Avatar 2 9/10
8- The Abyss 8.6/10
I think I’d go
3. T2
2. Aliens
1. Terminator
The original Terminator just packs the most emotional punch. That last shot of Linda Hamilton driving into the desert with the storm. Man, that’s one heck of a movie. And Kyle Reese doesn’t get his just due as a hero and Arnold has never been better. Linda Hamilton has a great character arch too.
The effects in The Abyss in 1989 are better than the effects 30 years later in Avatar 2009.
My ranking of his films:
1. Titanic
2. Aliens
3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
4. The Terminator
5. Avatar
6. The Abyss
(I know, putting Titanic above T2 and T1, even Aliens sounds blasphemous.
1. Aliens
2. Terminator 2 Judgement Day
3. The Terminator
4. True Lies
5. The Abyss
6. Avatar
7. Titanic
8. Piranha 2: The Spawning
My Top 5 Are Some Of My Favorite Movies Of All Time
Love your vid you deserve a thousand subscribers
My Ranking
9:21 you can blame James Cameron on that because he has the rights but refuses to put it on Blu-Rag.
Great ranking Cody.
I haven’t seen piranha 2, probably never will.
