- Join us as we reconnect with nature in Acadia National Park! 🌲✨ We made the most of our time at Blackwoods Campground, enjoying the serene environment with clean amenities, private sites, and fresh, drinkable water.
Day 1:
- Early start at Cadillac Mountain-though the fog rolled in, we still soaked up the mystical atmosphere and caught a fleeting sunrise on our descent.
- Wandered through Bar Harbor and North East Harbor, savoring the local vibe.
- Must-do: Indulge in the blueberry ice cream-so good!
- Stocked up on groceries at the Bar Harbor Hannafords.
- Attempted popovers at Jordan Pond House, but learned it’s sit-down only. Pro tip: Make reservations and arrive early for parking at Jordan Pond!
Day 2:
- Tackled the Beehive Trail-an exhilarating hike for those who love heights and a bit of a challenge.
- Parked at Sand Beach Lot at 6 am, minimal cars in the lot at this time.
- Spent the day hiking from Sand Beach to Otter Point along the Ocean Walk Path.
- Explored stunning scenic views, scrambled on the rocks, and felt the ocean breeze.
- Thunder Hole is a must-stop along the way.
Day 3:
- Slow, peaceful morning-pancakes by the fire, yum.
- Hiked North and South Bubble for some breathtaking views.
- North Bubble: Saw the iconic Bubble Rock-nature’s balancing act.
- South Bubble: Rewarded with sweeping views of Jordan Pond-perfect for photos!
- Pro tip: Park at Jordan Pond and hike to the trailheads to avoid parking hassles.
- Walked along Jordan Pond, enjoying the calm and beauty.
- We went to the right and found a bridge on the trail-a great place for views.
- Ended the day with sunset at Otter Point, then gathered around a long, cozy campfire to wrap up our adventure.
