The rocky coast of Maine, will not disappoint. Thunder hole in a choppy sea is amazing one may get wet. There are no large bill board advertising signs in Maine , all signage is regulated. I truly want to return someday. You have rekindled many of my memories.
Josh, this was such an awesome video of you, and your Pops, at Acadia National Park. ***I love the way you present your travels, adventures, and information. 👏🌲🍁👏
Hey Josh! Just watched Day 1 on YT on my TV. Had to come over to my desktop to tell you. My heart was in my mouth!!!! I actually shook while you were climbing the Precipice. I give you a lot of credit for actually filming while climbing. That must have been quite a task! You earn a gold star for this one man! And Pops can do no wrong in my book. He is a trooper! Digging his bigger part in your trips. Good job Pops!
Firstly , those steep climbs are just mind-boggling...narrowest of ledges , rocky terrain ..But the views are absolutely spectacular ...Swathes of mesmerizing splendor ,slopes bedecked in stunning autumn palette and miles of soothing blue complemented beautifully by a storybook setting...The sunrise and sunsets were equally stunning ...Beautiful skies adorned with hues and shades of red gold glory generously brushed with Nature's lovely paintbrush dipped in a glorious palette of Natures choicest colours ...Captivating views of foliage framed by autumnal tree branches and an aqua expanse...Loved the viewing...Thanks for sharing
Pops did an amazing job so happy that you were able to see my home state of Maine. It was pretty cool after following you through the Utah national Parks that we're planning on this spring. You picked the perfect time to come to Maine during the fall with all the colors. Thank you for all your hard work. It's amazing that you get to spend this kind of time with your father your blessed
my parents have gone to Acadia 10/12 years straight and love it each time! i practically know the whole park just hearing from them and seeing the pictures I will go someday
Hi👋🏽Josh…Hi👋🏽Pops… It was exciting seeing Pops do the little clip of the beach…Absolutely L❤️VED the time lapse. I wouldn’t be doing the first section of the hike with the ladders and cliff walks…No…No…No. 😳MG…I lose my breath just looking at those ledges and drops. The sunrise at Cadillac Mountain was so beautiful. You said it Josh😂”Not for those Afraid of HEIGHTS”🤚🏽that would be me. You Amaze me talking…climbing…and holding your camera too. TFS🙏🏽your 36 hours of hikes…I appreciate it especially since I wouldn’t do it…Great Time Lapses Pops…and the views are beautiful. See you on your next trip❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Thank you. I am from Brewer and MDI and my parents told me that if I EVER climbed Precipice or the Bee Hive that I was grounded for LIFE! They have breathtaking views though! I enjoy watching HD videos of the climb.
We're headed to Acadia in about a month. Half of us are adventure seekers and the other half not. Thank you so much for the idea of going around the back side of the Beehive! Had not even thought about that! Now my husband and daughter can experience the rungs but my son and I don't have to completely sit this hike out.
Please tell me you had some blueberry pie when you were up there! 😄 The trees were spectacular this year. I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours. The footage is just beautiful. Thank you and your dad for these!
Those are some amazing views! That looks very rough to hike the Precipice trail & it looked really hard to film while climbing. Thank you & Pops for showing the incredible views. And Pops did a great job on his time lapse!
Excellent video. My friend and I visited the end of October. Unfortunately we were unable to watch sunrise due to the cloudy weather. However, now i m able to appreciate this breathtaking sunrise through your lens. we watched the high wave crashing a small inlet causing thunder like sound at thunder hole. It was so thrilled. Definitely i should check this place again. Beehive hiking trail is also my must go place lists. Thank you so much for sharing this magnificent colorful view🍁🌷
Sadly a lot of Maine shuts down at Labor Day. Those hikes were amazing Josh! Awesome to know you don't have to take the hard trails to get to the summits. Dad is always nice to see in your videos and he certainly is nailing the time lapse. Cadillac mountain sunrise is a bucket list item for many. Hope to do it one day. Beautiful work as usual.
Awesome to see Pops sharing filming duties haha. You're going to have to change the channel to Through Our Lens. This is one of our favorite parks. Sunrise at Cadillac is awesome, glad you got there.
I absolutely LOVE all your videos. I have taken notes on several as I plan our next family trip. We will be making this trip this summer, so thank you for such great videos!
I didn’t get to see sunrise from Cadillac mountain so glad you dad did the time lapse for me to enjoy. Cadillac mountain was closed cuz the road was covered in snow even tho it was April. The Bubbles were all covered in snow. It was pretty cool. The lighthouse was great
Excellent. Feels like a PBS production. I've watched this channel through the years and watched your progression deviate to the far right on a standard deviation scale. I'm most impressed with your ability to take action and live your dream. I once went for it all, then focused on my studies and got in my comfort zone....the money is good, but it's boring. Peace to you and your pops.
Such kind words! Thanks for watching my channel for so long and I am glad it continues to improve! I am trying my best to make the most of the time I have to travel for sure!
Thank you for the video. We go to Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island frequently for decades now. I thought your video and what you presented was well done. I forwarded it to family that will be coming north in June. We will be staying in Southwest Harbor as usual in recent years. I like that you had good video and description of the Precipice Trail. That trail will be closed until mid-July but I wanted family to see what they will miss this June.
What a great video on Acadia National Park! You and Pops sure crammed alot into 36 hours. We were there for the first time in June for 3 nights and didn’t do nearly as much hiking. Couldn’t get reservation for Jordan Pond and were traveling in our RV so there are significant limitations on where we could drive and park. So we took the free shuttle system which worked great, except we caught COVID on it. Knocked us out for 10 days. Walked to Bass Harbor Lighthouse from our RV Park. Got the close view, but missed the rocks view. Also, stayed at the other area of the Park- the Schoodic Peninsula and was a very nice campground and less crowded coastal views
Visited Acadia this past summer with my girlfriend. We did everything you did minus Precipice Trail (it was closed) and Beech Mountain. In addition, we saw the sunset on Cadillac Mountain and went over to the Schoodic peninsula for a night of camping. When I did the Beehive Trail, it was so foggy that it was like climbing through a cloud, with absolutely no views, but no height trepidation either.
That sunrise was breathtaking and the time lapse was great. I was blown away by The crowds at such an early time. How many places can be near the ocean and forested area in the same spot
Josh, I was there with friends a few days behind you. Unfortunately we ran into quite a bit of fog but still had sections that were quite spectacular. You covered a lot of ground that we were unable to since we're not hikers. Thank you for bringing him back lots of great memories and adding a little more context to our trip.
Interesting to compare East Coast vs. West Coast trails. West Coast has many steep, scrambling type trails that don't give you all the assistance (iron rungs, ladders etc.)
Enjoyed your video so much, thank you! I spent a few summers in the 90s near the park and was able to visit several times. Wonderful to experience that natural beauty again through your lens- excellent!! Subbed.
Another great video Josh! Always look forward to them. Hope sometime you get the chance to do McKittrick Canyon and other trails in Guadalupe National Park (I know you already did Guadalupe Peak in one).
I love Acadia - I think I would hang out with Pops on that trip! No hiking straight up for me! :-) I give you a ton of credit doing the hike on Precipice, gives me the chills! Cadillac Mountain is the best place on the whole east coast to see the sunrise. I went there a few years ago at 5:00 in the morning and waited for the sunrise. It is the first place to see the sunrise in the US. Great time lapse by Pops!
just a beautiful place. thank you for making these videos. I'll never get to go to these places but I've sure enjoyed watching where you 2 go. very informative and funny sometimes!!
I'm with your Dad, I wouldn't walk that Precipice Trail for a million bucks! My head was spinning just watching the video. You did a great job though, filming as you were manoeuvering those crazy rocks.
Insane Hike! If I ever get the chance I might try going up the easier route; I don't have the guts for the route you took. Congrats on an awesome experience for you and your pops! Great timelapses!
I live in Boston so Maine isn't that far and we'd go visit in summer and ski in winter, but bar harbor is amazing, a place called otter cliffs, granite ledges with the waves crashing against is beautiful, the view from Cadillac mtn overlooking the ocean is incredible, on the road up the mtn they have little pull off spots that have signs that show how the glaciers carved the land, very informative, camping in the park is great too, salt air, pristine land. Good luck.
While looking out over the Atlantic did you notice the color difference? The Atlantic Ocean is green in color while the Pacific Ocean is much bluer. Have dipped my toes in both. Josh I think you're crazy! Risking your neck to that degree is ridiculous! Pops time lapse is awesome. He's gotten really good with the camera. In a different video I mentioned New England is beautiful but one drawback is it is pricey. one of the best parts of your videos is your great relish when you achieve something difficult. Popovers are New England delights. My aunt used to make them once in a while when i was a kid. Yummy!
I've been to Maine the last 3 years (not making it this year sadly), and the Beehive is still on my list of hikes I want to do. Think your video convinced me I might be able to handle it lol. Also, glad you were recommended Beech mountain. That view on the way down is actually my current wallpaper on my phone.
I was there in the early 80s, pretty much had the place to yourself, you could see lobster in about 12 feet of water near the rocky coast. The time lapse videos are really a boost. The tallest state park east of the Mississippi river is in North Carolina.
Love this! Anytime you’re near Nashville and want to do another hiking video I’d be happy to show you a few places with epic waterfalls! Could probably do 5 in a day or two 👍
Oh my gosh! We were just there this past August. We missed the fire tower, and there’s no way we would’ve done the Precipice trail with a 9 and 11 year old. Great video!!
Pops did an excellent job with his time lapse of the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain.
I thought so too!
I agree! Was he using a GoPro?
It's very pleasant to see the relationship you got with your Dad and the love for travel you both share. I wish I could travel with mine so often
Great that you have your Dad to do this with you, how special!
Nothing paints the sky like Maine!
At 71 and bad knees from yrs of running, I’m with Pops! Beach walks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The rocky coast of Maine, will not disappoint. Thunder hole in a choppy sea is amazing one may get wet. There are no large bill board advertising signs in Maine , all signage is regulated. I truly want to return someday. You have rekindled many of my memories.
You and Pops seem like two of the nicest people on earth. Thank you for bringing beautiful views to us!
Josh, this was such an awesome video of you, and your Pops, at Acadia National Park. ***I love the way you present your travels, adventures, and information. 👏🌲🍁👏

haha thanks for coming over to the computer to leave a comment! It was a crazy trail, I am glad the video shows how it was haha
Pops’ time lapse game is 🔥🔥🔥 love that ya’ll are enjoying and sharing it with us. Wholesome content!
Thank you for filming this epic hike this is the only way for me to do this hike, watching it in UA-cam lol
The park looks beautiful and all the fall colors take the landscape to the next level
Thanks for this video. It offers tons of information for visitors. Great for photographers like myself.

POPS IS REALLY GOOD WITH THE TIME LAPSES. IT'S A LOT OF FUN WATCHING YOU GUYS. REALLY BEAUTIFUL SCENERY.
my parents have gone to Acadia 10/12 years straight and love it each time!
i practically know the whole park just hearing from them and seeing the pictures
I will go someday
Hey Pops. I loved your time lapses. Keep up the good work.
The first trail you did was really really scary to watch but sooo beautiful!! Love Pop’s time lapse videos..😊🍁👍
Hi👋🏽Josh…Hi👋🏽Pops…

See you on your next trip❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the great comment as always! I thought it was fun that pops did a little vlogging haha. I am glad you enjoyed the video
This looks as if The Lord has had his paints out again! Such talent ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Note one who likes cruises, that small boat looked cool!
Thank you for doing these videos. Very informative. So great you can spend time with your father.
Glad you like them!

Nice journey. Great time lapses, showing the color variations just like the Autumn Foliage.

Great job Pops with your time lapse! No better way to see a sun set or sunrise.

We're loving the time lapse Pops!

You inspired our trip to Zion and now we're thinking Acadia next! Appreciate these videos and your pops with his camera skills!

Fantastic footage of this area ! Pops Timelapse was great 👌
Late to the party but...I think Pops is doing great with the time lapses. Thank you for making them
Great video Josh and loved Pop's time lapses 👍
Our house is right down the street from Beech Mountain on Long Pond. One of my favorite hikes.
Wow what a great video. I went to Acadia national Park. Great video as always so keep up the fantastic work sirs.
This is an excellent video with tons of relevant information. Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together!

Just booked an Airbnb to go to Acadia for the first time at the end of the month. Can’t wait !
Spectacular and stunning views from all angles, it looks like some of the climbs can get a bit technical too. Beautiful captures!

Sunset Time-lapse Equals Win! So does this Video. Love them
Man I this video has totally inspired me to plan a trip to Acadia. Way to go Pops on the time lapse videos, they are great!
Thanks for sharing another wonderful video like always 👍🤗

That’s a crazy trail!! And pops is a great co-host!😀👍
I am watching your video and had feeling... I fell off the cliff. Thanks for sharing 😀😃😄
I'm with Pops while you did your climb. CRAZY!
just a beautiful place. thank you for making these videos. I'll never get to go to these places but I've sure enjoyed watching where you 2 go. very informative and funny sometimes!!
Great video, and appropriate amounts of Illini gear. Love to see it.
Loved this one! You both did a great job sharing the beauty and giving really good info!
The time lapses are awesome
I'm with your Dad, I wouldn't walk that Precipice Trail for a million bucks! My head was spinning just watching the video. You did a great job though, filming as you were manoeuvering those crazy rocks.
Thank you for sharing your adventures. I was scared just watching you climb those trails. Thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving.
Insane Hike! If I ever get the chance I might try going up the easier route; I don't have the guts for the route you took. Congrats on an awesome experience for you and your pops! Great timelapses!

That Precipice Trail looks insane! I don't know if I'd have the guts to do it 😅
It was a crazy trail for sure!
Spectacular scenery.
I did like the sunrise time lapse.

Very scenic, but you would never have got me climbing up those crazy ladders! How are the snakes in the summer?!! Great film, guys, thanks.
I’m starting to get a feeling of vertigo, and i’m just watching on a TV
Well done Josh
Love this! Anytime you’re near Nashville and want to do another hiking video I’d be happy to show you a few places with epic waterfalls! Could probably do 5 in a day or two 👍
So amazing and very unique place. Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
It really is! Thanks for the comment!
Time lapse looked good to me!! 👍
Love your channel and pops seems like such a good guy.
Oh my gosh! We were just there this past August. We missed the fire tower, and there’s no way we would’ve done the Precipice trail with a 9 and 11 year old. Great video!!
Best trip I had with the family ❤❤❤❤
My father and me used to go on a road trip he passed away 10 years ago that's good you could go on a trip with your dad
Loving the fall colors
17:34 absolutely stunning
