    I wasn’t big on flat beaters but after using these the past four days I’m a convert! It’s a fantastic double pedal.

    I must say as a Czarcie Kopyto pedal owner (originally Demon Drive user) that those XR are way too expensive for what you get (no hard case, no different beater options, no fancy goodies, no nothing), especially since you have less tuning than original demon drive.
    But yeah, they look awesome.
    For hint, I paid my Czarcie Kopyto 1000 euros +shipping 160 euros which is really not as expensive as you say.(I live in Canada, and it was in November 2022). I just think that Pearl miss the price point in my honest opinion.
    Nice video by the way :)

      I will try Czarcie eventually, but I’ve heard manufacturing/shipping to US takes several months…

      @@UpsetToddler_ Yes, it takes me 2 months to get the pedals, but your pedal is built for you, there is no stock just waiting to be bought and the owner really cares for you, it's really one of the best experience i had with customer service.

      same profile as you, got demon before, now czarcie and for me i prefer to paid for a czarcie than a demon for this price
      need to test this new demon but between the old demon and the czarcie there was a huge difference ^^

      I feel the opposite (and that ok tis not a fight!), I think the XR looks better (Again subjective to everyone) I like the simplicity it has what you need and I wont spend years tweaking when I should be just playing. I see another comment about how the XR doesn't play well and I'm like "Dude get over yourself", like the XR looks smooth as glass to play and fast as anyone's foot could ever move. I think people get so hung up on their product and feel the need to bash on others. I cant imagine anyone buying these XR's and not being able to play anything and enjoy them, what more can anyone ask for? A life time warranty? Ohh yer it has one! So other than looks which are subjective and no one is right or wrong on your opinion this is a great well made pedal set that will last a life time of drumming. I just don't get the negative smack down people seem to be giving them across the internet with seemingly nonsensical arguments. I also enjoy the raw presentation of the content creator, and thanks for the video.

    Can you convert the XR to two single pedals like the Demon drive? I'm on the fence, but I need the option of both a twin and two singles. I appreciate it, thanks!

    • @UpsetToddler_
      @UpsetToddler_  9 місяців тому +1

      Unfortunately you cannot. That was one of the biggest cons for me. Most pedals at this price point do have that option, but these don’t.

    How do you like these pedals? I'm on the fence between the demon drive and the xr. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thx!

      I never owned the original demon drive, but I am really enjoying the XR. I’ve played Axis forever so the flat pedal is very easy for me to play. That’s one of the main reason I never bought the original demon drive, is I don’t like the footboard.
      If you don’t mind the original demon drive footboard, I would go with those. You can find some used ones for a good price. The price on the XR was thought to swallow. They just happened to release at the perfect time for me, otherwise I would have waited a bit for a sale or for some used ones.

    • @gcbr600
      @gcbr600 8 місяців тому

      @@UpsetToddler_ I haven't owned either. I have the speed cobras, but they are too long for me. I like the boards of the XR as well. I like the adjustability of the DD. It's a dilemma. Thanks for the info.

    • @UpsetToddler_
      @UpsetToddler_  8 місяців тому +1

      @@gcbr600 also another thing to note is that the XR is sold out most places. So if you find some, get them. Sit in them for a bit unopened then if you decide to keep, open them. Otherwise, return them.

    So your beaters stop at the same time? I just unboxed mine and when testing them, the left beater stops approx. 10 secs before the right one does - just like a double pedal with any regular drive shaft. Is there a fix for this? I'm just using the factory settings

    • @UpsetToddler_
      @UpsetToddler_  6 місяців тому +1

      That’s odd. I would say start with the ninja bearing oil that shipped with the pedals. The bearings should already be well lubricated, but it sounds like your slave pedal is dry.

    the fact that these pedals cost almost the same as czarcie kopyto and acd unlimited peadlas but have less than one fourth of the settings and the ability to fine tune things all around them is just funny to me. i seriously cannot find a single reason to get these

    • @UpsetToddler_
      @UpsetToddler_  8 місяців тому

      The ACD and CK pedals are both at least $500 more expensive and can be more depending on customizations, from what I’ve found online. No to mention, both of those pedals are months away from playing after you order them. Yes, they are entirely customized to the buyer, but for my money, these pedals are a serious competitor to those brands.
      I also don’t see the need to have THAT many options for setting/tuning. Maybe it’s worth it to you, but not me.

    The player makes the pedal. The pedal doesn't make the drummer.

    • @UpsetToddler_

      Agree 100%, but it’s a lot easier to hit speed like 280bpm with better gear, vs some PDP double pedals.

      @UpsetToddler_  10 місяців тому +1

      That’s true, but I’m not too big in having way too many configurations. I just max out my settings and it’s usually perfect for me.
