I hope you are able to get a charger fitted , makes life so much easier! I have coped with the Granny charger for two months but with a 7kw on hand , life is infinitely better 🤞
Yes being able to charge at home makes a huge difference to the EV experience. For a start the cost of charging will be much more reasonable, but more importantly, knowing that each time you leave home you’ve got 100% that will make a big difference.
Induction charging would be perfect for you. With a simple induction disc on your home parking spot and if all public charging had one in front of their charging machine. All we need is EV manufactures to make compatible cars with a 350 mile range then you would be sorted, if fact we will all be sorted.
Ha! You truly are a car freak aren't you Roger? You go to all that trouble to say how you've got to sell a car because you haven't the room then finish the video with: oh and I bought something else. It really tickled me as a fellow car enthusiast who hasn't the funds to indulge.😄 Two suggestions/ questions, firstly have you thought about having a home charger put on a post given the possibility of insufficient wall space? Or a second question, I suspect you don't have power in your garage but I wondered if it would be possible to have a charger installed in there? I really hope you are able to keep the EV and make it work for you, you've done so well with your advocacy so far it would lovely to see your work continue. I always mention your channel anywhere the discussion heads towards accessibility of chargers so I like to think I'm doing my bit to get you to the magic number.😊🤞👍
Ah you know me well. Two good ideas on the charger, I’m looking at the Trojan system, that could solve my problem. If not I could look into power to the garage but it’s not connected to my house. The new vehicle is a surprise, my next video, I won’t be parking it at home it’s too big, I’ve rented a place for it lol
@@warnerswheelingabout4879 ooh...I'm an ex-bus driver...just sayin'...😁 Trojan system: that's the one where they give you the device that fits into a slot in the ground isn't it? I wondered about that for us as we have a parking area that is over the other side of a green from the house. I can't remember what the conclusion was now but it must have been unsuitable in that use case scenario I'm guessing given that I've not pursued it. Be great if it works for you though, good luck with that. 👍
Get a home wall box.....the 'charger' is in the car......the home wall-box is basically a glorified plug-socket.....always get a charge when you want one..very 'small' wall-boxes are available (I've now got 2...weekend dad!........they're both Ohme- other makes are available)
Hi, I have enquired about a wall box but difficult as I don’t have a driveway and my wall is very badly placed. I’m looking into the Trojan system which puts a post out by the car which retracts down into the ground when not in use if I can get that fitted economically, then maybe that will be the solution.
@@warnerswheelingabout4879 cable-less charging! I'm a wheelchair user too...stroke in 2017...car-freak...have 3EVs +2quadricycles, my trusty iBot (more Lithium)....and numerous fossil-cars too!😃Thank you for all this!

(maybe a good start is unfettered access to wireless charging for blue-badge holders with EVs?)
