heres the LI version of this build, don't swap off of spear, just use 2 off cooldown and always use 4 after 2 and 5 after 2 only when 4 isnt up, then use utility skills to fill in gaps. Essentially same build but no second weapon so the rotation is more spread out instead of organized into bursts
Remeber guys when u reswap to dagger u pay attention to the heal signet cd ,when it's off cd u reswap to spear that's how u know when to end dagger loop back to spear

To be fair, this build probably sucks pretty hard for open world play. Can't generate any reliable self-boons other than Fury and is squishy as all hell. Would avoid gearing this if your aim is to play open world.
@@DjNaste it's fine. Just squishy. The aegis helps out a lot and spear 3 clears conditions. So you do fine. Swap to mauraders for extra hp and you'll be fine
@TwelveTables not with that poor boon generation. You can tweak the build a bit to upkeep more might and some quickness with the Illusions trait line and sigils that generate might, then maybe you can get there.
112 Virt is great for Open World. Anyone who says otherwise has not tried it, or is stuck in the pew pew only mindset, which gets you insta-squished in Open World. 112 (even with no Concentration) procs Aegis constantly, which procs Regen, Fury, or Quickness constantly. Hence, a lot of sustain while losing minimal offense. Surprisingly durable, and still does respectable damage. It's not Raid viable, but we're not talking Raid, we're talking Open World.
ok this and snowcrows are failry different but I find yours much simpler and you explained the logic clearly. I'll go with yours even though the benchmark numbers are different. That's acceptable with all this powercreep anyway.
I think the most important thing is to test both out on the golem yourself, then test both out on a real fight with pressure, then decide which you like. I don't make benchmarks so there isnt a comparison there
Is there a diff weapon combo you would recommend? My biggest issue is I honestly hate the dagger/sword combo for Mesmer 😅 but I know having options to keep range and also to close a gap with an enemy are important.
Hey there, don't you want to use Phantasmal Disenchanter before healing sigil as well, since it also gets its cooldown reset? Or am I overestimating the damage on that skill?
if you can its nice, but delaying your spear burst to get it isnt worth that much especially because disenchanter is a somewhat long cast time and we have plenty of other skills to use that are high value to fill the rotation
@@Kutip I’m not sure. I’ve been playing spear chrono and sometimes it feels better to 2 5 2 4 CS, or even 2 4 2 CS. Phantasmal Disenchanter is so slow and I wanna get into CS ASAP for quickness. + it’s off cooldown if you use it during CS Maybe it’s different running Chronophantasma?
@@Vallun You only get off 2 spear 4s during the spear combo no matter what (when you weapon swap without the extra cast it's still on a 2-3s cd), so delaying it by a second or two might be worth it. Only matters though if you're able to get off an extra shatter though since the actual clone value is pretty minimal. Also, for similar reasons to condi virt, is it worth starting in dagger/sword for the extra Fencer's Finesse stacks? i.e. 3 -> 5 -> (shatter) -> 2 -> weapon swap for spear burst? I feel like the 2ish seconds to build up Fencer's stacks would be beneficial. Edit: Delaying for another cast of Spear 4 might actually be way more beneficial than trying to get off an extra Disenchanter, which would absolutely make trying to fit in the extra Disenchanter worse.
I use WASD for movement and 1-5 for spells as well. How do you manage to press 5 while holding D? I can manage because I have pretty big hands, but it's really awkward and requires tilting the hand quite a bit.
there are multiple ways to get movement in game, holding both mouse buttons moves you forward and moving your camera allows you to change direction, freeing up your left hand to press buttons
I play this build using Mantra of pain. With alac the charges have a 10s CD, so everytime i weapon swap i use mantra, what way i never consume both charges
Guys are u serious?this is mid intensity rotation,did u check the 45.8k benchmark rotation?this one right here requires only 30 mins of practice and done
Can you elaborate on why chrono over virt? I saw snowcrown build and is chrono with full berserker and assasin trinkets, but now i don't know if this one is better 😢. That's why i'm asking
@@japa0820 one isn't inherently better than the other, but for me virtuoso is the least-mesmer mesmer elite spec since it doesn't use clones. chrono feels a little more true to the core class, and the rotation and boons it provides make it more appealing for me

I just prefer Chrono for the clones mechanic over the blades and that I can give quickness or alacrity to my party by changing a trait rather than a build. If you're just looking for DPS virt is probably gonna win on average. Chrono can also be a bit more complicated with timing the in and out of their F5 shatter. For me I just prefer the clones to the blades

Appears to be a wonderful build with a very smooth rotation that is repetitive which i love
For open world I suggest 112 for virt line just gives you a good bit of aegis for survival

I've always preferred dagger pistol, i know it's not as optimal damage wise but it's comfortable.
for power Virtuoso, dagger/sword seems to be the best combo. however, for CC purposes a focus does work well too
greatsword could work if you swap some traits, just not as optimal
i think in spear we want to wait to use 4 a third time, when its up you can go 3-2-4 then swap back to dagger/sword

i went power virtuoso only have a purple spear from ascended chest my gear is only exotic berserker armour atm with dragon hunter sigils
