Chrono F5: for beginners: 1. Do you have 3 clones up? 2. Is Phantasm and Signet heal Up? If 1 and 2 are Yes: Hit F5, cast Phantasm Signet heal and phantasm again. (while hitting f1-f4) For chrono builds this is typically done with staff, greatsword, or spear to get 4 double summons. As when you exit split you can recast phantasm heal reset phantasm. [F5> Phantasm > 6> Phantasm > F5 (end split) > Phantasm > 6 > Phantasm] 3. Do you have a dmg based ultimate up? If 3 is true cast your Phantasm combo then Ultimate (while hitting f1-f4) [F5> Phantasm > 6> Phantasm > 0] (even if ultimate is on cooldown you can get in the habit of hitting it here) 4. Are you using Spear? If using a spear then you need to make sure 5 is castable before the split. Don't worry about casting your ult since then timing can be tight. There is a brief window after jumping and before the reset where spear 2 can be interrupted so I just hit f4 to go invuln for a moment and setup the right timing for 6's heal reset. Basically, input this: F5> 4> 5> F4> 6> 2> 4 + 0 (if time) >F5.
Another small tip that I wouldn't recommend for people still getting used to continuum split but is really nice for it once you are used to it: if you hit continuum split DURING the cast of your phantasm (or your 5 in the case of spear), when you reset at the end of continuum split it will have considered the skill you were casting still off cooldown post-reset. So it lets you fit a little extra in the continuum split window while still getting all the same casts of your phantasm during it.
I knew mirage wouldn't be a 'meta' build for any particular game mode, but for open world, just wandering around doing stuff, its just so much fun compared to virt or chrono. Sometimes I feel like its crazy and out of control, bouncing around like daredevil. I have NO idea what I'm doing, but it doesn't matter, its fun.
@silhouette gaming I'm a returning player, after 10 years. I like this build, however will this also be good for solo roaming? Map explore, solo open world? That's my focus now. PVE and meta trains while unlocking maps and mastery points. TIA
@@SilhouetteGaming1 interesting. Guess I'll have to look it up (hopefully you covered it in your channel). But bummer, I've specced for Virtuoso already lol. But thank you for the concise yet very insightful content, sir! Subscribed coz you replied to me xD
I wanted to know between necro and mesmer which one to take since I love both and I'm going to start with the mesmer it seems to me stronger everywhere and more flexible on top of that (please correct me if I'm wrong)
I played Mesmer back when gw2 came out, havent played since living world season 1. Came back a couple weeks ago, still loving mesmer. Got zerker virtuoso as my general OW build, switching to condi cele cirtuoso or cele mirage for solo champions, sometimes hopping on mirage GS for tagging in metas, but generally everything dies so quickly, getting a single clone out is next to impossible. I feel like they need to rework clones to be bound to yourself instead of enemies, attacking your target, otherwise viruoso wil always the best at everything except support, for which I play full cele chrono boon healer, which is amazing and easy at the same time. its cele because im currently playing mostly story and OW and its my first ascended set and cele helps a lot with solo champions if needed. my zerker is currently ascended trinkets only, weapons and armor is so hard to come by without the free chests from WV ....
Torch deserve some love really & I hope ArenaNet will have torch trait reworked & add either burning duration percentage or burning damage percentage or make the 240-range burst from going out of stealth from torch skill 4 to 360 or 400.
Just started playing a few weeks ago and switched to mesmer after playing around with ele for a bit. Nothing like creating a bunch of clones and nuking a mob with one click of a button. I have also found myself dying far less. Haven't even gotten into the elite specs yet.
@@SilhouetteGaming1 What would you say is best and most fun for solo content? I still have a ton of story content left so will mostly be doing solo stuff for the foreseeable future. Would prefer to use the Hero points wisely as I get them.
@cobra7282 i exclusively use LFG so I "solo" all the content but running meta trains is probably the easiest chill content. As far as hero points there are more than enough to max everything so don't worry too much. You'll have everything maxed before you even complete 20% of the game.
How is Power Boon Chrono in open world and survivability? 😄 Debating about Power Virtuoso or Power Chrono... Chrono seems really nice and versatile right now
Man I’m still annoyed that they killed mirage and kept virtuoso as strong as it is given its range and insane ease of use :/ was confusion being decent on 2 fights really so bad they had to kill both alac staff and axe mirage
It's been a long time since I played. But it's sad to see that Virtuoso is both best power dps and condi dps. Completely shoved Mirage condi out of the meta it seems. Yeah, a lot of people had problems with Mirage. But it seems that condi virtuoso is also the best condi dps in the game. So in reality a mirage condi build only replaced another mirage condi build. Just with a new elite spec.
hi nice job, kind of sad that I cant play dual spear power mirage in instanced, had a lot of fun in OW but when doing golem couldn't even reach 20k, there is still hope that Anet will change mirage to be able to use power variant in instanced
@@SilhouetteGaming1 Power, Melee* DPS lol | Bonus points if you mention that Bladesworn literally doesn't work as an Alacrity Providing Boon-Support since they yote the Regen off the staff auto & you don't get an F1 (unless you sacrifice a utility slot to the God of Water Bottles) 🤣

Power dps Virt is so much fun. The gap closers on the spear are so good.

amazing job, been maining a mes for 12 years off and on, gonna use some of your builds :)
These are great videos and I have been sharing them as a resource for my guild. Keep up the good work!
Definitely appreciate it. Got 5 more to do.
I love duel pisto or pistol dagger on mesmer especially on virtuoso, those psychic daggers are nasty.
Power spear mirage is pretty fun and effective in WvW.

Sorry was referring to Condi build
There are better open world builds than these, these are just meta builds for group content. But the celestial immortal mirage is probably the best.

@exandruexandru700 i do have an immortal mesmer build video on my channel. And you're welcome! Thanks for the sub :)
For signets is this mostly for passive skills ?
i believe the spear rotation is 2-5-2-4 since 5 reset your 2 skill you can cast it insta
2-4-5-2 is better since your 4 will come off cd sooner. You already delay weapon swap waiting for 4, delaying it further is bad
@@PeachesYes I'm late but the default approach is 2-4-heal-5-2-4 because the goal is to use empowered (by spear 2) spear 4 twice.

@justin1066 it's not bad, feels good with quickness generation, it is very versatile.
What's the difference between the Viper's pieces (from the other condi v. Build in the standalone guide) and sinister from this build?
I think this one is higher overall dps. I had good success with both versions really.
Thank you!
How are you getting dagger sword on a chronomancer? 12:35

And make it unique and fun again ❤
Mirage is still stupid good in open World.
Sorry for the noob question, but do I need another dagger for 2nd one with focus or can I just use the dagger from dagger sword?
Same dagger. So only 3 weapons total :)
@@SilhouetteGaming1 thank you so much, I'll try to figure out later how to transfer the dagger from 1st set to the 2nd set.
