The Lost Expedition (1975)

Hello everyone - this film clip is from "The Lost Expedition” (in Russian: Пропавшая экспедиция). It is a Soviet drama film directed by Venyamin Dorman, written by Isai Kuznetsov and the music is composed by Mikael Tariverdiev. In 1918, in the midst of Russian civil war, a geological expedition searches for gold on the Siberian river Ardybash. It is the first film of a two-part film series, followed by Golden River (1976) in Russian Zolotaya rechka. The main characters are Zimin (Aleksandr Kaydanovskiy), Tasya (Yevgeniya Simonova) and Tasya’s father the professor (Nikolay Grinko). The expedition, engaged in the search for gold deposits encounter local residents that join them, some really want to help them, others pursue selfish goals and
