I love the M43 system. I have an EM1 Mark III with Pro lenes. I sell my work on line and at galleries and have never had a buyer say "oh, I'm not buying your work because it wasn't shot with a FF camera".
As someone who has been following you from before you were an Olympus visionary shooting surfers, as well as someone who works in the bicycle industry, it's super cool to see our two paths cross figuratively. Thanks for sharing, love your work.
was actually waiting for this Video Chris ... being a Olympus user and a Mountain biker/Cyclist myself this video was a treat to watch ! just incredible !! Every one especially the ones that say Full frame for professional work should watch this video :) i love it when you emphasise on creativity and being out there more than the what the camera can and cannot do ! keep up the fabulous work !
5:16 the weather sealing on OM is fantastic. But it works in conjunction with a weather sealed lens. The vespid lenses you use… DO NOT have weather sealing. (Still amazing lenses). But I appreciate you delving into the dirt so that we get to enjoy this beautiful cinematography.
Hi Chris, cool video. I am very thankful for that. I'm looking for a cable cam. I came across Noxon through your video. My question: would you really recommend this product to me? Many thanks for your response. Kind regards Sandro
Great job! After a very weak presentation by little-known, sluggish photographers, you and your team are like a breath of fresh air for the OM system. I consider you and Etchd Photography to be the best bloggers to get acquainted with the OM 1 camera! I would like to know more information about working with video, "white balance, om log 400". If possible, share video footage to work with the color yourself. I myself am the owner of an excellent om d em1 mark 2 camera, and despite the still great potential, you can't really work with color there. Thanks.
Big respect for the video. Great action video 👏 For us mostly that dont have cinema lenses I am more curious what this camera can do with zuiko lens. What result will come out. Can You make video about editing this video and all setting on the camera that You used? Did You used speedbooster with this cinema lenses?
Thanks. No, the custom modes are dedicated photo modes… but it’s super easy to switch between shooting modes in video mode and I never really missed the ability to switch by using custom modes. Videos doesn’t tend to need to be changes soooo quickly.
Hello Chris and everyone else! I think OM-1 sucks for wildlife acrion! I have, for 4 months, tried to configure my camera so i could be able to change AF-method during tracking the bird or trying to track a bird. I´ve failled completely. In every settings i have tried i had to cancel the AF-c (lifting the thumb of the AF-on button) to be able to change AF method with another finger and another programmed button. I have also never been succesfull with seting up dual back button focus with different AF settings. Both theese methods can be done with Sony, Nikon and Canon and are used by every serious wildlife photographer i know here in the south east of Sweden. Have i missed something or is it impossible to configure my OM-1 so i don´t have to cancel my AF for tenths of seconds (and often miss the right shot) when i have to cange Af-settings on the go so to speak?!
Hey. I’m not really a wildlife shooter… so can’t comment on that. But your BEST bet to get the right settings for bird photography is fellow visionary Jari Peltomäki. He will most likely be able to help you.
I did Jason. But since I have the DZOs for my cinema camera I thought I'd use them to achieve an image with a little more character, opposed to the clean, crisp image PRO photo lenses give you. Also, with the rig being up on the cable cam setup, I needed to be able to confidently manually focus the lens on the rig. And most M.Zuiko PRO lenses are not very easy to manually focus as their focussing ring has a very short throw, opposed to the 270º throw on the DZOs.
Chris I'm not sure how this helps OM launch their new camera. It seems like you are saying that to get good results with the OM 1, I need a production team of 7 and I need to rent a CableCam? I believe you could of got better footage from a 50 dollar used go pro. The CableCam was no where near the action. It certainly didn't make me feel like I was part of the experience. I do not want to come off overly negative but I don't believe this set up achieved the goals that either OM or you were shooting for. Thanks . Rd Williams
I think it does. As a OMD user (pro photographer) who is shooting more and more video this is a very welcome update and one I wonder consider buying, the idea that you could get the same look with a Go Pro seems laughable, I am really lost to understand your complaints (the cable footage was very exhilarating and dynamic and I am sure what other options would work)

I wouldn’t sell to ‘buyers’ judging my work by the camera it was shot on.
They clearly have completely missed the point…

As a photographer, MTBer, LevoSL rider and Olympus fan….I love this. Great video
Chris, you a flipped genius and so proud of you and your team....WOW!!
It's about time that Olympus/OM delivered a decent video camera. Been waiting for this camera for 5 years now.
Great video about the OM1
Simply amazing Chris, I've been waiting (ages :-) to see your latest work, very inspiring indeed.
Brilliant work Chris, high level film making. I'm such a fan.
Chris this is really inspiring mate fantastic work
Thank You 🙏🏼
Teamwork and the tools !

Glad you made this.
Have been waiting for this!!
Excellent! Definitely inspiring and a great example of the cameras capabilities.
Thanks so much Jonathan!
Thank you very much... 👌👍👍🙏
Fantastic video... 🙌😲👏🎆
Greetings from Spain... "Saludos... 👋🙋😃 "
As always brilliant!
This is very very eccentric and fantastic art work!! Marvelous Chris!!!
Thank you so much 😀
chapeau Chris . Respect :)

You’re absolutely right.
I mostly use PRO Zuiko lenses for my work though. The DZO lenses are better for filming work… just not sealed.
Great job Chris! I wish I’m half as good as you
Thanks Nic :-)
This is exactly how need to present a new camera!!!
Hi Chris, cool video. I am very thankful for that. I'm looking for a cable cam. I came across Noxon through your video. My question: would you really recommend this product to me? Many thanks for your response. Kind regards Sandro
Wow!
How good are those Vespid Primes! Love the flaring of them.
Yeah. I have the Vespids for my P6K and the Pictors for my G2. They work so well together. Nice vintage feel to them too.
Great stuff! Didn’t really notice any rolling shutter
Thanks! Rolling shutter is practically non-existent with the new and super fast sensor

Did You used speedbooster with this cinema lenses?
Amazing! Have you used speedbooster for the Vespid? Also I've noticed other lens used, which one and how did you like it?
Yes. I used a speedbooster for the Vespids. We also used the Laowa 12mm for ultra wide shots.
OM-G!
I'll become brand ambassador, you inspired to get om1 or mk iii for my first camera.
great video Chris! congrats! one question to the new camera... is it now possible to use the custom modes (1-4) for video too?
Thanks. No, the custom modes are dedicated photo modes… but it’s super easy to switch between shooting modes in video mode and I never really missed the ability to switch by using custom modes. Videos doesn’t tend to need to be changes soooo quickly.
Did you have IBIS activated while on the gimbal and on the cable cam?
I did. Yes.

amazing video and so cool BTS. I just wonder did u finally use any ProRes footage or everything was internal OM-Log profile?
Thanks! Everything was internal.
@@chriseyrewalker impressive!
Great work. It got 10bit up to 200FPS? What a beast!
Thanks. Correct. 10bit up to 200fps.
DZOFILM lens? Did you consider Olympus optics?
I did Jason. But since I have the DZOs for my cinema camera I thought I'd use them to achieve an image with a little more character, opposed to the clean, crisp image PRO photo lenses give you.
Also, with the rig being up on the cable cam setup, I needed to be able to confidently manually focus the lens on the rig. And most M.Zuiko PRO lenses are not very easy to manually focus as their focussing ring has a very short throw, opposed to the 270º throw on the DZOs.
I thought he was on a donw hill racing high end mt bike
Is the C4k now 4.2.2 or 4.2.0 10 bit ?
4.2.0 10-bit.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Autofocus in this camera is just amazing. I think it will challenge GH6 easily.
Yep. I honestly don’t think the gH6 was designed for better AF. Most filmmakers don’t even care about that anyway
The OM1 can shoot 2k at 200p ? Really ?
2k 200fps in 10-bit colour depth
2k 240fps in 8-bit colour depth
@@chriseyrewalker i didn’t find it in the specs. Do you mean FHD ?
Correct. I’d say, if 3840x2160 is considered 4k, then 1920x1080 could be considered 2k, no?

ahah what? You say a 50$ action cam makes a better quality than this? :D
I think it does.
