The last concert I went to was Slipknot in Dallas a couple of years ago, just before coof. It was great and my old ass even got into one of the many mosh pits at 39 years old. The music sounded great and the 8 of us had an awesome time.
I was going to a Metallica concert in Perth Australia with slipknot being the start of the show, unfortunately James got addicted to drugs again and they had to cancel, they said they would be back very soon but it has been like 2 years and they still haven’t come back yet they have been doing shows all across Europe and America so I have lost a lot of respect for both Metallica and slipknot
Hellyeah... when I saw them forever ago with Chimaira and Fear Factory they did this too. Was definitely the best damn metal show I've been to. I also walked out of that one completely spent, bruised in places I didn't even know I got hit.
I had taken my 12 year old son to this and in the middle of the crouching down to jump the fuck up he said to me to look back and as far as my eyes could see people had done the same. The energy was electric.
As someone that sets up concerts, I can say that a small rollercoaster was built for tommy Lee of motley crue for his drums. Check out Liberate by Disturbed!
You guys need to check out "Wild Side" by "Motley Crue" then you'll see the original man that did the flipping drum kit. TOMMY LEE!! He's the that started that trend. Merry Christmas you 2 & take care 🥁😎🤘🏼
my son is 11 right now. when he was 9 i took him to see them in dallas. it was, probably, one the most intense moments of my life and i've seen everything from Slayer to Cannibal Corpse. but the best part was when they did this song and corey asked us what we are gonna do. hearing my son's squeaky voice scream, "JUMP THE FUCK UP!!!!!" warmed this old dad's cold heart. it was not a night of father and son at a metal show, it was 2 metalheads sharing an experience. welcome to the family, brothers.
That is my favorite Slipknot song of all time. Thank you so much for doing this reaction! I love to see the live versions specifically for jump the fuck up. They entertain live like no other. Massive energy! We have been hearing alot about crowd control lately.... This right here is what it looks like when you have artists that have mad respect and love for their fans and fans who have mad respect and love for the artist! Corey and Co. have showed many times over that the safety of the Maggot Army is their first priority, followed by the best live performance they'll ever witness in a lifetime!
Live performances you’ll want to check out: “Til We Die” could be a tearjerker for you guys, was for me. “Snuff” acoustic by Corey Taylor. Also a very heavy performance. It hits you in the feels knowing how much Corey has been through in his life, even before Slipknot.
I need not comment any further on how awesome Slipknot and this channel is so, seeing what today is, Merriest Christmas all you maggots & Trash Talkers! 🤘🏼🎄🤘🏼
I was there that night. It was absolutely unforgettable! The mosh pit I was in was epic! The jump the fuck up bit gives me shivers every time I hear it!
That was an amazing performance, so happy to have been there - so different to when they played 10 years earlier and were unknown and on the bottom of the bill! As you can imagine, they tore that s**t up and made a lot of new fans. Have a great, safe Christmas guys.
Iconic performance. This is easily one of their best concerts of all time, right behind London 2002. They were firing on all cylinders then, it was like the 9 got rejuvenated. Also sorry to be that person, but smokey in his infinite wrestling knowledge shockingly got that one wrong. Out of three minute warning, rosey did become the superhero in training BUT it was his partner (and cousin) Jamal who became umaga. Both great performers who are no longer with us so rest in peace to both. One last thing, happy holidays boys. Keep making us smile with all the content you make for us.
I’ve seen slipknot three times live. Absolutely incredible the crowd control is insane. Corey just has a presence about him. Definitely if you can see them live.
145th Thumbs Up!! I lived that awesome moment in 2015 at Montréal's concert best concert of my even more cause i was we my son who it was his first ever metal concert! He was blown away!!
So much energy band controlled chaos in this live show. Besides being some dictator, Can you imagine having the power to control a crowd over 100k and tell them what to do?! Ha only Corey
If you wanna see another legendary, record-breaking performance from the same festival, watch 'Devildriver - Meet The Wretched' live from download 2009.
Good work guys, keep up the great work! On a side note on this is un Slipknot related but can you guys please do a reaction to A Perfect Circle By and Down River
That was a hell of a year, and a hell of a performance! You should absolutely come to Download Festival if you chaps are ever thinking of a trip to the UK! its the best, wildest rock / metal / punk / alternative festival of the year! We know how to have a party here ;) And of course, Merry Christmas!
This song of this show reminds me of the Grad Finale of a firework's show. Explosive spectacle! The music, the crowd going nuts, and Joey spinning. It's got it all.
I went to Knotfest 2021 in Pittsburgh, PA. It was awesome!! The energy was unbelievable!! My first concert since the Pandemic started and I had such a contact high that it took about 3 days to recover. Definitely worth it!!!!
Finally will see them, this year, from the pit. My daughter and I are so excited. Her first mosh was at slipknot in 2019. 🤘🏿🖤🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥 We are 42 years apart in age but we meet exactly 💯 with Slipknot. 🔥🔥🔥
Peter Criss, the original drummer in KISS started the whole "rising" drum platform spectacle, but it was Tommy Lee from Motley Crue who took it to the next level with the whole spinning/rotating thing and then other drummers i.e. Joey and others who try to add to the spectacle, but still i think Tommy Lee still had the most craziest moving drum platform, especially on the last couple Crue tours.
Yay!! So glad u guys did this one! I suggested it a while ago and im stoked to see it! You guys definitely see why we all kept clamoring for this one lol
FYI, 10 Second Songs just did a cover of this song that Kicks Ass. Thanks again Guys! PS, Smokey sure knows how to pull those answers out of his ass when he needs to!
slipknot are by far the best live performances i have ever experienced.....hands down man. Merry Xmas all and keep coming with the vids guys, love the content !!
Glad you reacted to this! I‘m really looking forward to their new album and I‘m also looking forward to your reactions to that soon Edit: Idk if you‘ve already checked out some of Corey’s solo stuff, but you should definitely watch his solo acoustic stuff! (He even played this song there)
One of the last times it was the full band. I miss it. Been a fan since i was 13 now 37. Met corey twice seen stone sour once and slipknot 4 times. Best thing in life.
Corey Taylor doing Spit It Out as an acoustic performance is well worth a watch, amazing crowd presence and control even in a totaly different enviroment and shows how adaptable he is with the 2 extremes of the same song.
Love you guys reactions, out of all on youtube you are genuinely the best and most realist. I have listened to Slipknot since i was 13 so 21 years ago and i have complex mental health disorders but Slipknot has always helped me get through the toughest times. I spoke to a few people some had mental health and some didnt and it was the same for peopole who had mental health it would help them. Some people listened to it and made them angry and some chilled. We all have different memories so music effects evry individual differently. I can tell you enjoy Slipknot but you will be shocked if you delved deep into Slipknots story there is a lot people don't know.
All the way back in 2000, I saw Slipknot when they were supporting their eponymous major label debut. Corey did this with the crowd and I was privileged enough to have participated in it. What's cool is that he took this concept, and turned it into a song called Jumpdafukup, which he recorded with Max Cavalera of Soulfly. That song appeared on Soulfly's album, Primitive. You have to check out that song. It's an inspirational song, trying to motivate people to work together to have more fulfilling lives. That's the symbolism of everyone jumping up at the same time. We are stronger together. That's what I think, anyway.
Hell yeah to Slipknot! No other band can do anything what Slipknot has done! This band is do damn good and down to earth! That's why I love Slipknot, as well as Cory's other band Stone Sour
MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLAS 🎄🎄🎁🎁 I just saw them at Rockville 2021 in Daytona Beach and I was front row, experiencing this live is INSANE, the energy was electric and seeing the people jump the fuck up was 🔥🔥 YOU NEED TO SEE THEM LIVE Platform for the drums…. Motley Crue, Metálica, Slipknot, Parkway Drive, I’m sure there’s more bands that have
11:17 Mötley Crüe, their drummer, Tommy Lee was the first during the Girls, Girls, Girls, tour back in 1987 where the kit summersaults in a cage reminiscent of a giant steel hamster ball. It was upgraded for the Dr. Feelgood 1990 world tour so the drum set flies above the crowd (all while Tommy Lee plays a drum solo in a leather fucking posing-pouch!) This led to the 360° Drum Rollercoaster which he had between 2011 & 2013, a lucky audience member got to strap in alongside Tommy and ride the Froot-Loop-shaped drum-coaster! Finally there was the 2014 tour where the drum set rotates on several axes and navigates a track above the audience's head.
That was awesome. guys. I really dig your videos because I feel we have the same reactions to the same moments. It's a lot of fun to watch. With that said, I searched and see that you guys have not done Motionless in White yet. My GOD, I'm gonna have to beg for this one... Please, Please, PLEASE do something from Motionless in White. Preferable the video "Code." I GUARANTEE you both will love it and do more. This is a band I got into from doing the Grannies. They're one of my favorite groups now. Motionless in White - Code. Oh, and Merry Christmas!!!
I'm in that crowd about 6 rows from the front, one of the best headline shows I've ever seen, and maybe Slipknots second best live set ever behind Disasterpiece. Bit a hole in my tongue on the jump up, bled a fair bit. Worth every single second.
I thought that you had already saw this one… it is epic! They do this since way back. They came here to Chile after Iowa and they did this here… it was awesome af because here in Chile we are known for being a pretty wild audience. Mike Patton and Tom Morello can give proof of that. Anyway, awesome video reaction and merry Xmas for you guys!
Motley Crue's Tommy Lee kinda started the whole trend of crazy drum antics. He first had a "levitating" set, then it flew across the ceiling of the auditorium, next it was a full on cage that spun and twisted and rolled. He did his solo on them and played a full story/song while his kit went in crazy directions.
I was at this festival and rhe reason why this show is highly regarded is because it was the first time they had headlined the download festival in 10 years at that time. And as for getting down during spit it out it was hot sweaty and i was dealing with sun stroke at the same time but i still went hard for this show aint no sun stroke holding me down lol
I’ve been to several Slipknot concerts, and it doesn’t get old. Just saw them again back in October 2021. Absolutely fucking crazy! Only thing is I kinda cried when they showed Paul’s and Joey’s pics at the end! 🤘🏽🤘🏽Maggot for life!
That's the way to celebrate Christmas! I enjoy watching your reactions of Slipknot songs, and I can say humbly that you are very welcome to call yourselves maggots, happy holidays to both of you
I've been waiting for you guys to do this video. Loved your reaction to one of the greatest live performances ever. Merry Christmas my friends and thank you for all the awesome reactions. Its like Christmas every time you guys show up in my notifications . Peace my friends
to answer your question, yes tommy lee from motly crue made it famous. he's had a lot of crazy drum risers his most recent being a full roller coaster for his whole kit. I have seen it live and it is completely BAD ASS
A Slipknot concert is something everyone should experience at least once.
The last concert I went to was Slipknot in Dallas a couple of years ago, just before coof. It was great and my old ass even got into one of the many mosh pits at 39 years old. The music sounded great and the 8 of us had an awesome time.

For sure, it's awesome🤘👊
I was there! 100,000 people getting down 😂 They are always incredible live 🤟
Dude that must have been an amazing feeling, we got goosebumps just watching this
I remember leaving that night absolutely bruised, battered, bloody and very very happy!
Was that the last time the original lineup was in England?
@@arkgent8390 no, they did a whistle stop tour (about 8 or 9 dates) on their way back to the US for Christmas.
Hellyeah... when I saw them forever ago with Chimaira and Fear Factory they did this too.

The part where Corey was hugging Paul and everyone really got me. Merry Christmas everyone and R.I.P to Paul and Joey
Smokey is right, Tommy Lee has had a lot of crazy drum platforms.
This video is always fun to watch.
Only guy I know of who had a drumset on roller coaster track.
No matter how many times I've seen this, I still get so fucking hyped every time!! 🤘😁
As someone that sets up concerts, I can say that a small rollercoaster was built for tommy Lee of motley crue for his drums.
Check out Liberate by Disturbed!
My friend helped set the roller coaster set up being roadie on that tour. He told me it would take about 6 hours to set up and 6 to tear down.
I'm proud to say I was there and witnessed this live. The whole set was incredible! You should check out more songs from this performamce
You guys need to check out "Wild Side" by "Motley Crue" then you'll see the original man that did the flipping drum kit. TOMMY LEE!! He's the that started that trend. Merry Christmas you 2 & take care 🥁😎🤘🏼
