I been disconnecting my cheap old fashion lights before I dunk it and stopped blowing out bulbs. It was a duh moment when I fingered out why they had been blowing
With 3" PVC and supports close to the middle, you're completely avoiding the whole purpose of using PVC. It's suppose to flex and bend to match the curvature of a kayak's bottom. Edit: Oh wow after watching more you are going to destroy your kayak man. You have both the front and rear strap out past the support bars (nearer to the middle of the kayaks), so you are actually bowing your kayak in the opposite direction it was manufactured. You have support in the middle and downward pressure at both the front and rear of the kayak You can clearly see this at 11:27.
What are your suggestions on how much power a 4 door sedan needs to have to be a tow vehicle. Looking to buy a new car and would like to get a sedan (Honda probably) for the gas mileage instead of a gas guzzler SUV or truck.
if you're just gonna tow kayaks...any car is gonna do you well. i've been towing my 14ft john boat for 2 years now with my civic. it does struggle on up high climbs but you just gotta take it easily. With kayaks its no problem. as long as your trailer+gear weighs less then 500 ibs, you will good will any car. i figured it like putting two grown men in the back seats right? and that exactly how it feel when driving. my civic only has 150 hp and its a small 1.8 liter engine. Anything with a two liter or bigger is gonna be better. hope that helps.
nice trailer man. I finished mine up at about the same time. I actually just posted a video on my channel on the finished product. great minds think alike I see. I used the same idea with the pvc on my trailer. its a tandem trailer for my feelfree lures. maybe ill run into yall one of these days. have yall ever fished the lower Illinois below tenkiller for striper? ive heard its supposed to be really good. figured you guys would be the ones to ask.
Great build.
glad to see you guys post, thanks
Awesome diy.
the P-40 Warhawk faces look so awesome on the yaks
yes we love them too
Paint or a decal?
I suggest black reticulation tubing for the wiring, it will give protection from stones etc.
thats on the to do list

Welding in sandals? You're a brave dude!
Jim Harris that's not brave it's called stupid.
Gotta get those toes tan!
Looks good but get a grinder after those 2 bolts sticking up in the front. They look likean ankle buster just waiting to happen.
Did you keep the pvc at 10ft or shorten it some? Nice job man and hope to hear back from you. I'm building mine up this weekend.
Sean Wilson we kepted it at full length

You correct. We did see issues later. We have resolved problem by adding more supports under the front and back of PVC.
