    I said once to a friend "I've just found my path."
    He answered "No, you've just realised you're on it already."

      @zionsky3342 5 років тому +13

      Wrong. You ignore infinite choices... he hasn't always been on the path. You find your path through realising your infinite potential and be able to transition through the realities you want to by the thoughts your creating, which in turn shapes new paths to walk down, just as if I introduce myself to someone in the street I pave another path to get to know this person. That path wasnt always there because we live in a infinitely converging multiverse. Dokata clearly just wants to sound provocative but doesn't actually understand what he's on about... I never found my path... I was always on it.... that's simply not true because there are an infinite number of Dakota that are just working a standard 9 to 5 and doesn't think about the universe or its mysteries so there was something that brought him on the path. But he just wants to sound deep... there is no spiritual path!!! Then he says something else is the spiritual path??? He's literally just thinking off the top of his head with some deep music in the background hahaha he misunderstands so much.

      @@zionsky3342 Well hes not wrong. And neither are you. Maybe he has misunderstandings but dont you and I? Those who claim to understand, do not understand. Those who accept they don't understand, have understanding. What he is speaking of is experiential, as well as what you have said. I am aware of what you speak and experience it as well as experiment with it everyday. But everyone does. Everyone has thoughts and are put into situations and everyone chooses to respond to them or not and how they respond. And thats always happening. The difference is awareness that its happening, therefore you can begin to be more wise about your responses. But you weren't "brought" to that happening. It was always happening but now your aware. And there, we can tend to get stuck playing the "I can control everything" game, because we "think" that because we are aware, because we understand the power of thoughts, that we're in control. And during this time we tend to cast a lot of judgments onto others and ourselves. And we also get on what I call the "Spiritual treadmill" thinking, the more we meditate, the more we watch our thoughts, the more we practice these religions, the more awake we'll be and the more spiritual we'll be. And we think we're going somewhere. More more more! Better better better! But one day, we wake up and realize, what Dakota is speaking about here. It appears he is on the path of "being". And your not brought to that path, you don't find it. You wake up there.

    *Spirituality is not a path, it begins as a path, and then you realize you must go backwards to reach the end. Which was ironically the beginning of the journey. What I mean is, being enlightened/smart/cool/woke doesn't matter. What matters is, as dakota mentioned, the present moment. But I'll add to that. Love. Unconditional love towards everyone & everything. Do those two things. Be present, and love. You won't have any TRUE worries ever again.*

    Ive spent so many years of my life searching for answers everywhere, who am i? What am i? Why am i? Ive been through so many rabbit holes and i realized that nobody really knows anything. I learned so much more about myself and life in general the moment i started looking inside myself instead of allways looking outside or from others for answers, the more i close my eyes the more i see. and i stopped with all the questions, all i know for sure is that, life is. And i am.

      Idk who said it first, but I want to add these sentences to the end of that quote because I believe that the human experience is so special and interesting. You can leave the world behind you in better condition than when you left it. - As humans we have the potential to expand and explore biodiversity or completely destroy it. The choice we make and the actions that come with it determine the future of life on Earth. Whether it will be overcome with famine and disease or symbiosis and beauty, that is up to each and every one of us.

      @Terren O'Neil
      People see what eating meat does to us. They see veganism as a way to protect what we have and deem it to be the right thing to do.
      Maybe you were seeking to be right. Because you deemed it important and because if you're right than people who are wrong must change for the better, but who's to say who's right? That's ever evolving within you.
      We seek validation for how we feel because we want to connect with people. But we must first admit to our feelings. If you admit that you feel that veganism is better than eating meat for the planet to yourself first, that would make it true to you. You wouldn't be needing to seek this truth. You already know it to be right.
      You were only seeking to see yourself in others because of the fear of being alone with this truth. We even go as far as to reject our truths so we won't be alone. If you reject how you feel you won't even notice you feel that way. And the re-discovery of this truth will enlighten you to that part that was there all along.

      Hunting is in fact a spiritual practice. Are you going to tell civilizations that have done it for millennia need to stop? What diet do you think uncontacted tribes eat? When you hunt you have to go out and venture for hours upon hours to maybe, maybe get something. And I don't scream and holler when I get something. I go to make sure I have swiftly taken it's life so it doesn't writhe in agony. I then basically say some prayers of sorts to honor it's life and thank it for the nourishment it will provide my family. Gtfoh. You're ignorant.

    Yo Dakota, your one cool dude, you know what i'm born 91 and you remind me so much of myself, I was travelling and following "the path". Did not finish college and got sucked into the "system" working my ass of for a corporate hotel job. Literally made me sick, all the spiritual work I had done, all the travel and experience, yet here I was stuck in a world I do not like.. Made me sick, right in my soul. Saw your videos back in 2017 and followed you since, you reminded me of that path I actually want to follow, the life I want to live. Now finally things are sorting themselves out and I'm finding back to my integrity and confidence, and know the path has only begun. I get the good real medicine vibes from you brother, your the real deal, a "western" yogi. I respect your sadhana, your search for truth and your humble soul. Stay blessed, may our paths cross oneday, inshallah!

    As I was going to my caregiving job today I was thinking this exact message, I was think everyone you meet is a mirror and you reflect lessons to each other. You can learn a lesson in everyone and everything you come across. You learn more about yourself and make it possible for the person your with to learn more about themselves if they are open to that. But my client wasn't home so I got to come home and watch this video. On top of that alignment, this is the first video I've seen at home after my wifi was off for a couple daze😜🤙👌💛

      What’s helped me overcome my depression though is that I’ve been doing an exercise to appreciate the value that the difficult experiences adds in the way that hunger’s existence helps you to enjoy eating and some part of you must be already cold to feel warmth and this helps me with my depression. But to many people suffering is an indication of illness or danger but it doesn’t have to be. In a world where we’ve solved all our basic needs, people will still create challenges in the form of games and other things when they get bored and that’s perfectly okay. Can you see how we might see peace and rest as boredom when we stop appreciating its value? Can you also see how we might see difficulty and challenge as annoying when we stop having gratitude for the value in it? Switching when you get tired of one and are ready for the other can be liberating, but if you are ever falling out of appreciation for the value in what you already have and don’t have immediate access to change it that’s when depression can really take hold. It’s easy for us to see happiness always on the other side but it can be on both sides. Someone can get depressed from boredom and safety when they finally seek some adventure, someone can also get depressed from constant work and endless challenges when they finally seek a sanctuary. The two common factors in both depressions is that your environment or circumstance goes on for longer than you’re willing to look past. The second one that you always have control over is seeing the value in your circumstances. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a different flavor from time to time but when we aren’t also seeing the blessing in what we already have and only notice the tastiness of the other side that is when we feel like not a single thing in the universe is stacked for our favor and then can get depressed.

    The spiritual life is a life of ups and downs. A life of love and light, hate and darkness. A life of reconciliation and unreconciliation. A life of resolved and unresolved. It is a life of pain and joy. As it is within, so is it without. As it is above, so is it below. All things are one in form in function and purpose.

    Thank you Dakota. For reminding me that i need to show more compassion for myself. To stop trying to do spiritual ceremonies to try and heal myself and try and try and just instead understanding that there is no end game. The healing never stops, there will always be downs but there will always be ups. Thank you for reminding me to have patience with those who hurt you and to be okay with discomfort and to show love above all things. I am so hard on myself to be better “I’m not there yet I’m not there yet” but I AM HERE. I am I need to get out of my head and let things just BE. Accept myself for all the trauma all the bad all the pain, and open up and be vulnerable again and trust and love. We love you Dakota! Much love and blessings to you.

Beautifully explained your view of this blissful life and our experience here. Like GaryVee said, "You're a human being! You already won the game! What are you complaining about?" With this being said, I wish upon you all nothing but more beautiful experiences in life and many more "Aha!" moments.

    Well, that is all I needed to hear. I have opened my door to “awareness” at 21 and for 2 decades felt lost and had challenges adapting. Everything became uncomfortable
    :( last month I started researching on the occults etc. although it got me really excited and thinking that this is it, this is “the path”. I still felt lost. Searching where to begin. Whose information to trust. With so much disinfo and delusional charlatans out there, I hate to admit it but I was kinda losing hope.
    Coming across this video, it made me realize that I have been on “the path” all along. I just needed to hear your pearls of wisdom.
