The fact G&G have only a handfull of cars makes me feel more connected to it. The way you care about your cars, the details you show us and the info you share makes me feel part of the group. If one day G&G can afford expansive supercars, I would feel happy for them, but in some way, the channel would lose the "crew feeling" i got from it
"Doing More Road Trips" You may have heard a HELL YES all the way from Virginia Beach at that point in the video. That was both me and my girlfriend screaming that. Hopefully we may see G&G when we go to Skyline Drive and the surrounding for our yearly mountain run.
Skyline Drive is hella fun, I try to run it a few times a month during the summer. I have seen them on several occasions just in passing around here, so its definitely possible.
The way most of the big youtubers afford cars, is investnment and loans. Its easier to finance a car, then sell it and recoup some/most of the cash. Notice the cars they buy, are cars that rarely lose value. If you have 100 grand and you have a big enough youtube brand, you could probably pull off a loan and pay less to finance it than outright buying an evo. Once they sell it after a year or two, they recoup most of that value. In other words, they don't actually SPEND more money, they simply take out more loans and have someone to help them manage them. And by investment, I mean shady ad deals with watch makers than rebrand alibaba watches and such. Its all about leverage. If you are a cash only guy, at least you are more genuine, which is why I like this channel. Its so much more realistic.
It is not at all surprising that you decided to sell it. And at exactly the time I thought you would as well. It stood out among your other cars, and I never expected you to keep it over the Subie. That being said, I think it was still a worthwhile endeavour. You have given this car a new vitality, freshened it up so it can continue its life and bring a lot of joy to its next owner. I think that is beautiful, and I am sure the car is immensely happy about it as well.

Just found this UA-cam channel a week ago. Wow all the great videos I have missed. So great to see a UA-camr being honest and open about the realities. Relatable. I'm pretty satisfied with all the red evo videos! Pretty perfect timing on letting it go as well. Would love to see roadtrips and gridlife action too soon.
So now we know the answer to "STI or EVO?".
Its good to see you around town man! My dad did some work on your new garage! Small world huh? Its crazy seeing all the shots in the video and knowing all the places here in town. Even down to the food lion. Good luck with the car!
Reminds me of a bit of one of Bad Obsession Motorsports' videos on their 4WD MINI Cooper that they've been working on for years: in one of the videos where they're working on adding extra bits for running the turbo, their blowoff valve setup has components that I personally built. I had no idea they were even doing it, either!
If there were to be a Mazdaspeed protege/ protege5 build on this channel, I would simply die. Love those cars!
I hate to see the Evo go but I cant wait to see the new content on Gridlife and the rx-7!
Nooo too soon junior! Should just keep it!
I appreciate the transparency. Thanks for what you guys do and for keeping it real
Glad you are going back to the RX7 I think that is one of my favorite cars between you two
I saw it on Cars and Bids this morning, it was a great series!
"Because I like it" is a very valid reason to do something, but i feel ya.

It seems as your chanel is heading back into the right direction.
Love it!
We all knew the day was coming when the Evo would go. But I'm really looking forward to more content on the other cars we love! The Civic, RX7 and STi!
Some people make a Lot of money on utube. You need to figure that one out. Think Diesel Brothers. That dudes really got it going.
Like we say in Hawaii, “Lose money”. I hope you get back what you spent on it. I prefer the Subie as well, but having both if i could afford it would be in my garage, They both represent the rally heritage well.
8:26... I was hoping Ben would suddenly say, "Cars & Bids!" ala Doug DeMuro style... 😅
It's a beautiful car but definitely a smart move to lean out the collection and focus on the next chapter, I do miss my Evo X but glad to have experienced that chapter in my life.
You do you! Best youtube channel out here.
I'm just hoping for the next owner for the Evo just love, take a good care and fit the personality for that evo 👍🏽
