i have 2 3060 in my rig and i tried using the riser it nerf my hash rate even with dummy plug lol. so by accident i found out it only works on the mother board with the pcie x16 slot i have 3 slot, now i use the riser with my vega 64 gpu. Now i buy one more 3060 then rest i get a 6700XT AMD for similar price and hash rate to 3060 but with out the LHR crap and you can use a Riser with it :D. ALSO the LHR cards are only nerf on ETher mining,everything else is fine Raven and ERgo is the one they mine now.

i have BTC X79 X5 board and I have a symptom that does not enter the BIOS page. and the machine turns off BTC 79x5 post code is D7 , if usb mouse / keyboard connected I get post code B4 , and it always turn off after like 5 sec ,, can't access bios help me

Every riser cable have different power connector, in the video ones have male molex connector. I'm just using the PSU connector to connect it. Others may have sata power connectors.

The brand is Gobigger. I bought it in 2018, about $170. Recommend 1080p portable monitor, rather then 4k. I just got a 4k one with other brand recently, it will not display for many reasons. Like long HDMI cable reduce the signal or something.

Hello, I am having trouble with my server motherboard. When I hit the power switch, there is just a blinking green light and a green light that stays on the board. But the graphics card just spins for 1 second and stops spinning. And there is no video display. I don’t know what’s wrong

Can I ask, for both this video and your last video, are the server motherboards supporting pcie slots rated at PCI-E 3.0 or PCI-E 2.0 ? I realise that the RTX 3060 need 8x or 16x slot with dev driver as I had to use the black ribbon cable for my 3060's.
Thanks @xystudio my rig is up, 6x 3060 running well. But there are times when the rig freezes, and does not respond. Whats the easiest way to restart server motherboards, if i cut off direct power to motherboard it starts with bmc initialization and bios is reset.
Also im using the 8x to 16x adapter and im using all cables x16 riser 30cm cables from cooler master and its not an issue, so im guessing powered risers are not necessary
Check the cr2032 bettary. Maybe it's dead. You can use a hardware watchdog. When windows freezed, it will restart the system with the reset pins. But I don't know is that avalible in your place.
I have a question not sure if anyone knows the answer but willing to take opinions! I have 2 3060’s running x8 each and I’m getting 50 hash each which is great but now my 3rd pci slot runs x4, and I know that’s an issue for the 3060 since it has to be x8+. I want to buy another gpu so... Now that you know my situation. My question is, will a 3070/3080 run on a x4? Or is it also an issue and also will it run on a pcie riser? 3.0? Or does it have to be 4.0 also (I know the 3060 aren’t supported with the risers unless it’s 4.0) Sorry if this was confusing for anyone, it’s kind of hard to explain for me I guess, thanks for taking the time to read!
Other GPUs will work fine with at least pcie2.0 1x. So you can add a 3070/80 without any problem. But if your MB only support 2 x8 without the third slot inserted, you cannot add any card into the third slot. Maybe it will be x8 x4 x4. So check the manual carefully.
It is must be 3.0 or higher I think because of the specifications of the 3060's require 3.0 or higher PCIe 16 lanes with minimum x8 speed to run at full speed on ETH mining.(or you can mine raven on x4 speed slots on full speed)

I had, until a few hours ago my rig, with this MOBO working perfectly with windows 10, but, as i found a problem with my power button, i've made huge mistake, without intention, and reset my bios settings to default... and now, i cant boot my rig, because, even my SSD is apperaring on the bios, i guess that my UEFI / LEGACY settings are all wrong... I out it in 6_7 and 8_9 when I click the button the blue light on the motherboard comes on and off (the light beside the USB ports) i also have the green light blinking (beside the pcie ports.) Still doesn't turn on. It is so frustrating ... what do you think the problem may be?
@@MrAmirMosleh were you able to work it out. My power doesnt seem to be working. Only when i reset the cmos battery it boots up but then it kills also the bios settings.

@@BobDevV damn. Didn’t think of that. Have played with Linux and virtual machines a bit. Great suggestion. I just found regular installs of the new driver for the 1080 trumped the 470.05 for the 3060s which then led to them being nerfed. Great idea!
In the beginning, I have heard of 3060 only 1 card will work with 1 OS. So I have tried UNRAID for passthrough GPU into VMs on my other rigs to prove it will work. And then I have orderd the CPU in my first video, which is 2690v4 and 32G rams. I was going to try 7 VMs in one system. And after that I have proved that it doesn't need VMs in the 7x 3060 video.

Hi I dont get it, it should not work for 6 cards since the cpu is 40 lines. It should work only for 5 cards. So if you run each card as x8 , this is 40 lanes / 6 cards = 6.6 pci lane, but it should be 8 at least. How does it work with 6 cards?

Cut open the end of the 8x slot on the motherboard so that you can install a 16x riser in them, it will work, ive done it before

That's hard to find the problem. Try to reduce the OC, or removing GPUs, or replacing parts.

@@hasancalis I got it. It is really easy. Just google "SSI Front Panel Connector"; it is a server 24 pin connector. Pins 11 & 13 are power button

There is a bunch of sw, first line 12, second line 11。the second line no.2 is missing. Pwr is second line no.6~7, rst is 8~9. Can you understand? It's hard to describe in text.

I out it in 6_7 and 8_9 when I click the button the blue light on the motherboard comes on and off (the light beside the USB ports) i also have the green light blinking (beside the pcie ports.) Still doesn't turn on. It is so frustrating ... what do you think the problem may be?

@@MrAmirMosleh were you able to work it out. My power doesnt seem to be working. Only when i reset the cmos battery it boots up but then it kills also the bios settings.
My motherboard only runs with 1 cpu although I have checked the bios get enough 2 cpu. What should I do with the bios setup?
Bios shows 2 cpu , it should be no problem. Maybe opration system's issue.

Hey xy! Wondering if you can explain how to get a couple 3060 working with say a 1080 or 1070 which has the different driver? I can see it in device manager and it is recognized by the miner but no hash? Much appreciated for anyone who can figure this out!
@@BobDevV damn. Didn’t think of that. Have played with Linux and virtual machines a bit. Great suggestion. I just found regular installs of the new driver for the 1080 trumped the 470.05 for the 3060s which then led to them being nerfed. Great idea!
In the beginning, I have heard of 3060 only 1 card will work with 1 OS. So I have tried UNRAID for passthrough GPU into VMs on my other rigs to prove it will work. And then I have orderd the CPU in my first video, which is 2690v4 and 32G rams. I was going to try 7 VMs in one system.
And after that I have proved that it doesn't need VMs in the 7x 3060 video.

Hi I dont get it, it should not work for 6 cards since the cpu is 40 lines. It should work only for 5 cards.
So if you run each card as x8 , this is 40 lanes / 6 cards = 6.6 pci lane, but it should be 8 at least. How does it work with 6 cards?

@@sheza5632 Yes, some of the pcie slot are lined to 1 cpu, and others are lined to another cpu.
