Can you please review the Huawei Watch GT 5 series. It is giving mr close to a week of battery life! Huawei doesnt mention about the base of the Harmony os and chip its running on, if possible can check it?
I have the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Pixel Watch 3 (45m). They are both really great, but I find that I prefer the Galaxy Watch Ultra for its more rugged design and build quality. The Pixel Watch 3 is super comfortable to wear, but it feels fragile, especially in the gym. I also prefer some of the features of Samsung Health, like being able to easily string together workouts, as well as create entire workout programs (Pixel Watch only lets you do this for running workouts). Overall though, its just nice to have multiple great options on Android nowadays.
I have both watches, the larger size at home. I only use the Pixel watch 3 45mm version with my Pixel 9 Pro. Not a fan of Fitbit premium. It's too overpriced for me. I use workouts from other Apps. Like Peloton( I use the guide), Mossa On Demand, Fiit or Fiton. I love the design of the Pixel Watch a little bit more. I also prefer the Pixel Watch bracelets. Better design, more comfortable for me. Both watches are great. Thanks for a nice video ❤. Greetings from Germany 😊😊.
Sapphire = No need of a screen protector. Glass, no matter what will get scratched up. That Pixel watch's curved display means that the screen protector will come off easily.
For the amount of money these things cost, it's frustrating for them not to go with sapphire. Ag this point I won't even buy a analog watch that doesn't have sapphire
Thing I most like about Galaxy Watch is ability to play songs through Spotify on watch speakers you can't do that on UA-cam Music even after having premium subscription
Samsungs watchfaces are very disappointing so lackluster & basic compared to the Pixels. First thing i do with my samsung watch is spend hours looking for a good watchface on the play store.
I prefer and own the Galaxy watch partly because it is more robust, and having scratches on a watch screen is very annoying. That alone puts me off the Pixel watch.
Just upgraded from my Galaxy Watch 4 to the 7 (Wifi/BT, 44mm) with trade-in and literally only paid $50 shipped through Samsung online. Watch is great so far, definitely the best choice.
For me it's the galaxy watch i ordered the wife a watch 7 44mm with a old fitbit versa 2 trade in and Samsung gave me 100 bucks for the trade in the watch total was 240 for the lte the pixel was over 400 bucks and the trade in for the fitbit was only 30 bucks wtf.. That's with Google owning fitbit
I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but the Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Watch 2 (original size) have identically the same specs, so if you want to save money, get the Pixel Watch 2.
I have a Fitbit Charge 4, which has been problematic to say the least and Fitbit support is a joke, but that could all be different with the Pixel Watch. What is the same, though, is keeping important data about YOUR health behind a paywall, and a steep one at that, which I find ludicrous. That's why I will never get a Fitbit/Pixel watch; literally every other competitor gives you full access to your health data subscription-free.
They come in handy if you want to check on notifications from your phone instead of getting your phone out if you are in a place, Where you wouldn't need to get your phone out.
@raxiltude It still seems kind of pointless to have two devices that do the same exact thing. The smartwatch doesn't really saw the problem if you have your phone with you anyway.
Nice comparison. I don't understand why Samsung watches move backwards in some aspects (no rotating bezel, no reverse wireless charging, worse battery life compared to Tizen).. Btw never heard about AGEs in my life but simply going by the colors low seems to bee good (green) and high should be bad (red) 🤷♂ The last sentence of the explainer also reads "AGEs accumulate as you get older" meaning they increase with age so the lower it is the "younger"/"fitter" you are.
Rotating Bezel is for "Watch Classic" Line-up No reversed wireless charging because of the new Sensor Layout. But I think future samsung smartwatches will support it again You're right about battery life
@aldwin360 yes these are just the marketing excuses but for me it's hard to believe any of this. For example it has been shown that the new watches briefly charge on phones but the standard bands push the watch up and disconnect it so with a bit more engineering it could have been possible they were just too lazy to put in the work and decided to scrap the feature instead.
i have a Samsung phone and use it with my Pixel 3 watch as, It's a Better watch than Samsung watch 7, and more accurate and not full of Bloat ware like Samsung.
Why don't these flagship watches care about battery life? I'd love to get a pixel watch, but I almost refuse to get a smart watch unless it lasts about a week like the CMF Watch Pro 2.
Because the CMF Watch Isn’t a smart watch, it’s hybrid that doesn’t have a strong processor to use third party apps. I think people need to know what smartwatches actually do
@superiortoall22 what can smart watches do that "hybrid" smart watches can't? Edit: like what's the point of third party apps or stronger processors when we have phones?
@@jjbonta2 point of a smartwatch is to be an assistant to your phone. With third party apps I can do things without either taking my phone in my pocket or just simply leaving it at home. If you’re a busy person or a runner like me, having less things to juggle is nice. If you’re just using your watch for notifications and health metrics then yeah hybrid or fitness tracker is right for you. For running, I can leave my keys in my Jeep, because I can unlock/start/lock my vehicle from my watch, I can unlock my home and disarm it from my watch. For streaming I can use nearly every streaming service not just some generic media player so you get playlists made for you and that’s without needing your phone. For running, I have the Nike run app to guide my runs with voice overs from coaches, but the watch is smart enough to lower the music volume then increase it once the voice guidance is over. I’m an aviator so when I fly, using the ForeFlight app gives me weather and airport information, plus everything that I need to communicate back home without going into the luggage compartment to dig out my phone. I can go on forever, it’s just what you limit yourself to.
@superiortoall22 fair enough. Some of those things could make my life a little easier, but you sound like you've got more and better use cases for me, at least where I am in life currently. I'm hoping for the next evolution of technology to soon allow me to replace all my physical screens with virtual screens through augmented glasses and maybe the watch would be somewhat of a processor for the glasses and an input detector (ideally with all the smart watch capabilities too). I'm hoping for this in less than 5 years, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it takes 10 or more.
The flagship for Samsung is the Ultra. Reviews have shown 3-3.5 days average on battery life with everything turned out. That's not bad. As for the Pixel, the battery life of 2-2.5 days is pretty impressive for the features and size that it is. But their biggest issue is that they have such a high price for the drawbacks (display glass, charging mechanism, lack of sophisticated gestures, etc.) that they have. With that all being said, I agree with you that we need better battery lives for our smartwatches. My previous Galaxy Watch4 44mm non-LTE barely got me 1 day in normal mode and 1.5 days with power saving mode. My current Galaxy Watch7 44mm non-LTE gets me about 1.5-2 days in normal mode (everthing on except AGEs index) and 2.5-3 days without power saving mode. I am also waiting for the day when 1 week battery life with everything on to be a reality but I imagine we need another 3-4 years for that.
@@superiortoall22 True, I want one that may never be made. A blood sugar monitor on the wrist. Nice if it charted other things like heart rate etc, but first and foremost, as a diabetes tool. If accurate, I would then buy one, but this may never happen.
Thanks for ⌚️-ing! Let me know you have any other questions about these watches I didn’t answer 👇
Loss of Pulse detection is the new feature that matters. You didn't even give any details. Everything else is already known.

Subscriptions to technology that you already spend hundreds of dollars on is insane to me.
The modern world we live in is insane

Google has not been long in the phone and Smart watch space but they have improved drastically... Matching head to head with the pioneers
9 odd years is long time
@@Puppyjans compared to Samsung and apple who have been in the business for ages

Now this is a good comparison. Android watch vs android watch.
Samsung Watch 7 for me❤❤.

You can use galaxy 7 as a remote camera too if you use one of their S series phone
Or wave at your phone instead.
Beautiful Thanks!
I think the main issue of the galaxy watch is that the heart sensor is not so accurate... I end-up buying a Pixel because of this.
I prefer and own the Galaxy watch partly because it is more robust, and having scratches on a watch screen is very annoying. That alone puts me off the Pixel watch.
Pixel watch looks great but hard to not get a galaxy watch when it can often be had for a quarter of the price
Just upgraded from my Galaxy Watch 4 to the 7 (Wifi/BT, 44mm) with trade-in and literally only paid $50 shipped through Samsung online. Watch is great so far, definitely the best choice.
I have a Google pixel 7 but I can't wait to go back to Samsung
For 400 bucks unacceptable for the pixel watch not to use Sapphire That's a deal breaker
I'm not in android land but I'm watching for this lady whose name I don’t know but I like her videos
Lexy
Any chance a video for a buying guide for non-Fitbit fitness bands
I'd be curious to know how it compares with the Galaxy watch
galaxy watch is nicer 😊😊
Agreed
I use my watch to listen to podcasts without my phone on me. I can usually get a day of battery life but two would be nice.

I just don't understand the want or need for a smart watches. Maybe runners who stream music to their earbuds.

For the Samsung to unlock all the functions you have to just buy a Galaxy Phone
Just make a square display its just space efficient.

Square Apple watch not cool? I'm trying to wear a watch on my wrist not a cell phone!
