Awesome video and direction. No nonsenses, straight to the point. No loud music or other stuff, not trying to be a comedian. Clear and detailed, great tip on how to make sure pins are installed correctly. My hats off to you sir.

My son took it apart but had an emergency. ..your video helped his old mom put it back together! I appreciate you more than I can express.
I'm glad you were abled to get the job done!! Thank you for the kind comment.
Excellent video. Thank you for no cheesy music and no unnecessary gabbing. To the point. 5 minutes, done. +1 for you.
One handed and NO GLOVES, this dude is genuine old school!
Not sure if I’m more impressed you took it apart with a set of pliers...or that you did it with one hand. Thanks my man you been a great help!
You are perfect at explaining. Your detail helped me a lot. You should be a professor. Thank you!!!
Thank you for this, It was a tremendous help to me as someone who has zero knowledge of how this process looked and was able to complete it on the first try through your instruction. A+
Thank you! Im glad it was helpful and thanks for the kind comment. Please give this video a thumbs up, subscribe and tell your friends to help my channel grow. It would be greatly appreciated:)
I started off by looking at the manual, and it was apparently written by tech writers who have never actually worked on the machine. So I found your excellent explanation on how to do this, and I spent less time removing the deck than I did looking at that stupid manual 😂. Thanks!
Hi Steve, I'm glad this was better than the manual! Thank you for watching and the kind comment.
Thanks. Informative and not a lot of superfoulus BS. 1 handed -totally badass. Now a subscriber.
Much appreciated! Thank you!!
Followed your detailed instructions. Had to change the belt. One of the best videos I have watched to help me with this project. Thank you for keeping it simple.
Glad it helped
Hey buddy I truly thank you for the video, I’m not very mechanical so I enjoy when a professional puts a video out for people like me.

Nicely done. It took me several belt changes & winter/spring equipment swaps on my D160 to figure out that a socket on the tensioner pulley nut saves TONS of effort & frustration.
I’m glad it was helpful:)
I can't Thank you enough for this video!!! No nonsense - right to the point - great visuals and advice Thank You Thank You Thank You!

Just replaced a snapped drive belt with your help. That was really clear and insightful. Thanks.
JSE does the best job with these types of video's explains clearly and gives tips for reassembly and problem areas, and does a great job with the video, without having the viewers blocked out.
Subscribed and liked ! Thank You !
Thank you!!
So straightforward and clear. Thank you so much. Also nice work to the camera holder.

Best video I've seen on this. I'm heading out to do it now, because I need to replace the mower belt and drive belt on my D140.
Thank you! I'm glad it helped you.
Your videos were very helpful for my recent deck rebuild. Thanks!
Great video. Wish everyone who posts how to videos did as good a job as this.
Wow this is the best video I've seen yet. You are a very good teacher.
Thanks very much for that I was mucking about yesterday trying to get the belt back on mine and couldn't do it. I didn't realise the pulley at the rear is spring loaded and will move forward to enable the belt to go over the front pulley. Now I can get to work again. Thanks.
Thanks so much, couldn't find my manual, and online at Deere is too confusing. You saved me lots of time.
I’m glad it was helpful :)
Thank you for the video. I've gotta replace the blades and this seem the easiest way to do it. Thanks again!
Glad to help :)
Great video, to the point with no extra details. I'm following you now to get more assistant for my JD. Thank you 😊💓
I admire you and thanks for guiding me with my new/used JD!
Very good video, what you can do with one hand is amazing. Thank you for making it look so simple.

GREAT VIDEO QUALITY!! GREAT VIDEO ON TAKEN THE MOWER DECK OFF.
Dude you are a life saver... thank you very much for this video... super helpful
Very clear instructions, thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching and the kind comment.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines on my D140 it starts fine and runs great. But now and again it's like its out of fuel and shuts down. Have recently replaced spark plugs, oil and filter, air filter, and fuel filter. When this happens I add some Sea Foam in the gas tank, wait about a minute and then it restarts no problem. Happens every few weeks. Any suggestions please?
Great video. Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
I'm glad it was helpful :)
Excellent concise video.
"Careful ya don't get your fingers pinched" LMAO brilliant. Thanks for the helpful vid!
Followed your video and took me less than 5min to remove the deck
Your welcome, thank you for watching! I'm glad it help!
Excellent, very well described
Many thanks! I’m glad it was helpful.
👍Straight forward and on point .
Thank you and for the kind words :)
Great video. I just bought this one used two weeks ago. I had noticed though it makes a high pitched noise around the PTO clutch when it is running without the blades engaged. Do you think the bearings are bad. It’s got 161 hours on it. If so, do you only recommend John Deere manufacture for this part. It’s 200 dollars vs some after market condensers. Thanks
Push the brake/clutch in and if the noise goes away, it is not the clutch, maybe transmission idler pulley. If it still makes the noise and it is coming from the electric clutch then it will be time to replace the clutch. I use EXTREME CLUTCHES. clink on this link. xtremeope.com/ . You should be able to look the part# up on the John Deere web site and cross it to a Extreme clutch number. If that doesn't work, you will need to remove the clutch and get the model/part number off of the old clutch and that should also work to cross it to a Extreme clutch.
"careful not to pinch your fingers" he says without having any on the nub removing the belt from the pulley... Lol
I appreciate you looking out for us with plenty of fingers left to lose
You explain things very well! I’m new to learning about small engines, would like to see more content!
Great vid btw, very informative. But how in the hell were you holding the camera!?
Well done and to the point
