- Alexander Rybak will represent Norway at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon with the song That's How You Write A Song. He visited the Metropolitana School of Music and gave a masterclass to the students.

Well done Alexander Rubak you are a great extrovert player who classical violinists (like us) can gain a lot of inspiration from to perform better! And you are technically correct about using the violin bow for expression since it is more important to establish the right hand right movement before fingering follows in the left hand. Vibrato is just the icing on the cake!

I don't think Alex came back to win again, he's probably mainly doing this to expand his popularity and relevance. It's a risky gamble to say the least.
However if he does somehow win, it will be a great reward on his behalf. He'll be seen once again as a national hero in Norway and go down in history as the 2nd ever Johnny Logan.

Why is he disliked for having won in 2009?
He's trying to capitalize on his 2009 win fame. It's pathetic! He won Eurovision once! Why come back and not let someone else live the dream of representing Norway and let others experience an ESC victory for the first time?? Because he might win and that's insulting to others contestants who doesn't have his Eurovision fame but have MUCH BETTER songs!

He loves Eurovision and loves to participate. If you have a good song that connects with the viewers/jury and you are able to deliver a song with some warmth, you can win, not your name. Its not his fault that the bookies has him in 2nd. He has been really in the background this Eurovision. The other contestants are more loud and in the "front" of things, than him. this is the first video I have seen of him besides his reheatsal videos.
I think it's wonderful! And if you dislike him so much, why not go somewhere else? Stop watching his videos.

Personal Opinion: As a human being he is wonderful but I think he should not win Eurovision this year. His song might be catchy but it is not that great.
If he would win, than only because of his person. If you imagine, that the song was from a not so popular country and singer, it wouldn't have a single chance.
