As a Skam fan this is so hilarious and on point. I absolutely died when they came out of the car wearing the Mellohaters jackets.

I'm from Germany and developed a small Rybak obsession this evening. I don't get at all what's happening. Could someone please give me some background information? :D
If you mean the video; it's a parody of a norwegian tv series called SKAM. (absolutely recommend watching) And they are making inside jokes about it. :)
So it's no use asking what's happening bc I had to watch all episodes to get the inside jokes? I did understand that it's from this tv series as that was already mentioned a few times in the comments but I wanted to know what's exactly happening, i.e. what's the plot here? What's up with that festival? Is it really controversy? What the relationship between Clara and Alex? Who is Alex fighting with? Etcetera, etcetera :D
Ok, I'll try to explain it as short as possible.
This parody is about season 2 where teenagers William and Nora fall in love. William is this guy who is known and is part of a "school gang" which fights sometimes with other guys. That in this video has been reversed to Melodifestivalen. It's a song competition in Sweden where they pick their Eurovision representive each year. And that's where Alex is performing as a quest. So they turned the gang into Melodifestivalen haters gang.
And all these scenes are from the series but they just switched them and changed subjects little.
In the scene which the girl plays violin it was originally a guitar. And the violin has been changed as to refer to Alex as a violinist.
