I broke my medial malleolus just like the image and they wanted to give me surgery I’m young but I do not want plates in my body or screws so I got a cast ! Hope I have a good recovery . I believe I will !
I broke my medial malleous too, 11 days ago, but the doctor told me that i dont need surgery, so im wearing a cast now. The good thing is that i dont feel pain at all, just have the unplaseunt feeling of the swelling inside the cast when i put my leg down, but its normal. I wish you fast recovery!
I personally didn’t heal with a cast no, they put me in a boot after the cast and the X-rays after the cast were still the same however I wore the boot for about 1month and I went back to a different foot doctor who gave me a brace and compared the break and it’s definitely healing now it’s coming together I don’t feel it or have any issues really it hurts still sometimes but I’m doing PT
I broke my Fibula 6 days ago. Got sent home in a boot, no cast or surgery and told to stay off it for 4 weeks. Little nervous when I go back to the specialist things may have changed!
I had a Weber A fractured, but it was displaced so I needed surgery and a plate fitted. Had it done a few days ago so waiting to see what the Xrays look like at my next check up.

Hi did you get healed without surgery. I have the same injury.

@@JusZard I am 90% recovered. I walk, drive, living normal. But there is still some little pain, which is normal.
@@dandan7986 same ! I also have nerve damage in the same foot which makes it worse I’m working on that as well !

How did it go? Were you able to walk with the boot?
Why is this often overlooked in A&E units, 3 Xrays later and I have finally been diagnosed properly
How long it would take to walk with special boots? I have a chip fracture at posterior part of malleolus.

I have a c fracture but the doctor said no need surgery for my fibula bone.
