I saw you guys in the lobby as I was running in for opening ceremonies Wednesday night after a 7hr drive. I was hoping to catch you later and get a pic with you but watching your video would explains why I didn't see you guys again. Hope you had a good time. Maybe I'll see you next year in Salt Lake City. BTW I stoned mine and my partner's outfits and it took me over 25hrs. It wasn't a joy but saved hundreds of dollars doing it.
I drove 9 hours and left as they were getting ready to do Opening Ceremonies. I was exhausted and in the first event on Thursday. I watched one of my club members in the Men's Silver V win 1st. Go Dave!
Congrats! This is so fantastic. I can't wait to see your competition Video. I'll bet you guys rocked the ice, because you are both skating so well, as in professional level skating.
Aw, I wish! Hahaha You are so nice! We did not feel very professional at all out there - it was very nerve racking. 😬😅 But we did okay and will certainly shear our competition skate videos as soon as the event releases them!
Oh... this is why I never got practice ice at the competition rink. I also got a nice black/ dark dress and re-used it for many every tests and competitions. Sure it wasn't the perfect fit to every theme but it was good enough. Also, I bet you do really really well. your toe points and posture are so good.
Smart! That was kind of our train of thought as well. The coach advised that we get practice ice though to get our orientation figured out and to feel a little more confident. 😅 But totally get your point! Oh, and thanks! We were so nervous that we forgot to point anything, I think 😅 Kinda curious to see the actual videos ourselves - we haven’t seen them yet as they are not yet released.
There is some easier ways to rhinestone that don’t make it as tedious. There is a tool with is a little stick with a wax ball on the end that picks up the stone super easy instead of tweezers. I also load my e6000 in a syringe and that helps drops the perfect size glue dot.
I wanna know how you fit everything into one backpack? I’m a chronic over packer! Making it my goal to pack everything in a rolling carryon moving forward!
We do “capsule closets” for traveling, so we get a ton of outfits for different weather and occasions with relatively few items. We travel all the time for work and hate checking in the luggage, so we’re quite used to it. 😁 I was actually wondering if we should do a video in this - wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested 🤷🏼♀️😅
Oh snap, it does? Must have missed it when copying tags from our previous video about our skater friend in Ukraine. Thanks for catching - we’ll correct it!
What was your first experience competing in figure skating?
Started competing in 1st grade with team. The next year I began solo.

Wow! So excited for both of you two. Good luck!

Why does this video have a #russiavsukraine tag?
