- Zbrush Sculpting Tutorial for Beginners Series - Organic & Hard-Surface T-Rex 1080p HD
In this Zbrush Sculpting Tutorial for beginners you will learn how to sculpt a T-Rex Dinosaur with some mechanical parts.
This Tutorial series is aimed at beginners so it assumes that you have no or little experience in using Zbrush.
You will be covering basics at the beginning of each part of the tutorial before moving onto more advanced techniques. Repeating parts of this series is time-lapsed to save time. All the techniques that are used through the time-lapse phases are explained at the beginning of the video so you should have no problems following along.
Through the time-lapse parts, your instructor Max will commentate general tips and explain some theory behind his sculpting technique.
Hope you enjoyed part one of this series, Stay tuned for more!

single best zbrush lesson I've ever seen. Thank you SO much.
You make a very valid point that I think most people who create art always forget to mention. In the beginning, you will more than likely not be happy with the results! ANY aspect of art will require that you take time to develop what you are creating. In the age of "timelapse" many people believe that jumping into a professional program isn't going to take them a long time. News flash, people spend many hours learning how to do this stuff, and if you aren't professionally trained, it is more than likely going to take you a long time to achieve anything in the program. Just keep at it just like any skill in life, you will get better. I know that I fell into the same trap in the beginning of 3D modeling, but with enough time i've gotten a lot better. VERY good advice and great video.
sometimes I forget this. It happens, but its a very good point
Making topology and Unwarping those mechanical parts....would be hell
You My good Man, are a fantastic teacher. These tutorials are by far the best on zbrush sculpting, using organic and hard surfaces, really helped cover all bases, plus your relaxed, informed speech was the best. Thank You :)
I agree, this guy's got a good speaking voice.
Just scrolling through UA-cam checking out peoples sculpting techniques, I also use most of these techniques, but there was some things you did that taught me a little twist on some tools. Great video sir! Glad i took the time to watch all the parts! These deserve more than 2k views!
THIS is the best tutorial i've every see for zbrush!!! THANKS!!! so much!
Best Zbrush Tutorial! Thank you very much!

Arrimus is the Best !!!
Why is this part not in the playlist for the series?
amazing
I'd love to see more stuff about rendering in ZBrush. Love the TRex videos...
I also saw something with IMM with stretches the middle part but keeps the head and tail of a curve. Model is probably in 3 sections inserted to IMM orso
This is good
thanks it is best tutorial i wish to see more then video
Hey ! Thanks a lot for your series ! I must try this tomorrow :D
But, i have a question, there are 4 videos or more ? Because in this one i feel it's not the last one, i'm wrong?
Thanks alot! One question, though. So, after sculpting and adding all the minor details, do you simply create a uv map and export the normal map? No need to project it and convert the high to low poly? Just export the normal map and thats it right?? thx
Очень круто)
Can we make a helmet like agv in zbrush?
i only have experience with inventor and zbrush. could you do a tutorial for the parts you made in this video in 3ds max? great video keep them comming
When I create my multimesh brush & use it the meshes aren't grouped as one, as I see in your video. My meshes are all separate and I have to, after I am done placing the meshes, manually group them. How do you make it all group from the get-go?
Good videos, man! Can you tell us more about transpose tool? I have difficulties with using it.
nice
I was able to follow your tutorial until you started exporting in parts from 3DS. I wish you would’ve upload a supplementary tutorial on how to make those parts in 3DS, or at least make those parts available to download on a website somewhere. The website link from your profile is no longer working.
Where is the thumbnail image, took looked awesome!
No final video?:(
This tutorial has been wonderful and really helpful. However Zbrsh is the first sculpting program I've been learning to use, so where you have made some items in other programs and imported them I am at a bit of a loss.
I am trying to create a tooth and a claw in Zbrush for now as I'd like to get this project finished, but I feel a buit let down.
Emma Sedgwick I suggest getting to know a standard 3d Application like Cinema 4d, or Autodesk Maya, etc, these are straight polygonal manipulation programmes :)
I am making a hen
How to go a hen

Ctrl+S and you got it from there.
Subtitle, please.
Overall, decent tutorial series. You took the time to explain a lot instead of just glossing over things by saying "Just experiment on your own", which a lot of online tutors do.
My only complaint would be that you went by some items way too quickly, making it difficult to follow what you were doing.
But, overall, I got a better of idea of how ZBrush works by watching this series.
I got to the end of the tutorial and forgot everything lmao :'(
