Its pretty funny how they joke about Thor being poisoned given that's how he dies in the actual story of Ragnarok. He wins his fight against Jormungandr, but dies from venom after taking nine steps away from where they fought.

So basically, the second fight wasn't fair AT ALL. Thor was a bit exhausted after the fight with jorm, the only being whose prophecy was to kill him, and he had a big wound poisoned with the serpent's Eitr. I'd say he put up a good fight with kratos despite all that and the outcome could change if he was at full strength

If u ask me, i think there are several possible explanations for this: th 1st is that, 3 years before, th axe has been imbued w/ eitr poison by jormungandr when kratos n atreus 1st met th world serpent, which might have prevented th god of thunder frm healing after he's wounded. Another explanation is th mental state of thor himself, at this point broken by th loss of his sons n neglecting himself 2 much to ever bother try n heal his wound. Th 3rd explanation is that th god of thunder simply keeps his wound as a memory of his fight w/ kratos. Interestingly, despite th conversation btw th 2 asgardian women, it's still unclear as to whether th eitr did indeed poison thor, at least to a significant degree, since he showed no visible signs of being affected by it n th 2 women also laughed at th idea of poisoning thor
