I love how uruks are depicted wearing actual armor in the flashbacks of the past instead of scraps and bits of armor. Basically the massive war machine that is mordor in the present is still just a shadow of itself just like the elves and the realms of men.

The tragic thing is she probably just drank herself to death between 99 and 07. No salvaging her life like Pearson or Tilly, not even a “glorious” death like Arthur and John, just becoming a victim of her own lifestyle. I think people didn't realized they cared for Magni and Modi until they died. Like they were probably those guys that got up to no good pretty often, living in their father's shadow and trying to match his feats. But they were stalwart and loyal, they heeded the call when Baldur needed them for this mission. They were still sons of Thor, so by extension the All-Father. They were still Aesir Gods, and once they were gone I'm sure the Aesir felt just a little more vulnerable.

The Axe is least impressive of his 3 primary weapons imo. It was a great addition in 2018 but after you get the blades, combo-ing and melee get much more fluid. I'd say the Blades are first, the spear is a close second and the axe is third

I know people think them getting together is not going to happen because of Baldur. First they are Gods and they will live so long that Freya might finally forgive. Weirder stuff have happened in Mythology. Second, look at this way. Freya is the GF and her son is a crack/meth head who always gets violent. One day he got crazier that usual and tried to end his mom, so you the BF had no choice but to put him down before he hurt his mother. As a mother, she is angry ofcourse but she will come around.

“We were here before them, we’ll be here after” honestly isn’t a bad idea for how the orcs view themselves. They’ve either been the slaves of the Dark Lords, or canon fodder for the free peoples, and never been viewed as worthwhile by anyone except for numbers. So it makes sense that, to give themselves some dignity, they give themselves a story about how while everyone else builds bigger castles and fancier halls, they’re ultimately the one constant in nature as they’ll always remain the same but eventually everyone else will disappear. It’s oddly aspirational and optimistic, in its own way, for the orcs.
