- Episode 4 of The Big Reunion sees Five and Atomic Kitten reveal more about their past. We find out about the horrific troubles that Abz Love faced after Five split. The original Kittens are also in the same room for the first time in 12 years.

The saddest thing is to see that with all the boys and girls bands, none of them have had proper counseling. a psychologist who had worked with them on how to deal with the situation they are in. so much misery could have been prevented with that and even after these young people had stopped they needed guidance to function in normal life again. record companies are only concerned with money and do not take into account that these are people and not money machines. young people are so impressionable and that has been taken advantage of so much. with often dire consequences. unfortunately this still happens today.
Look at other groups around the world compared to here.

He needs "Therapy". Dr. Phil McGraw and Iyanla Vanzant would be perfect it would be Tough Love with a Soft Glove. Iyanla would show Pictures of every Boyband that came before him and how they moved on and so could they. Tell him that out of the Six Jackson Brothers Three Are Broke. Jermaine, Randy & Marlon all had financial problems and Marlon declared Bankruptcy and sold alot of his stuff. Abz should also remind him that only the chosen Few Boy Bands make it as Solo Artists. Michael Jackson & Bobby Brown were the only ones were able to at that time.
Abz is one of my favorite five member but when I watched his story I felt sad for him after his bad experiences

Ritchie is my favourite member of Five ❤. I've even met him last year. He's just so down to earth and friendly. A total sweetheart ❤
He comes across as really warm and genuine ❤!

The biggest issue between these groups is complete lack of communication. None of them talk at all. None of them dealt with the issues. Its just madness. How could you ever hold a group together without communication.

I've noticed that The UK are more "intense" about their Groups. When New Kids On The Block broke up, fans didn't go cray cray, it was "Ok now it's time to find a new set of Boys." What's so beautiful is that they have Partners who love them for who they are not their past Pop Glory.
So glad Liz realised Natasha had suffered from depression and they finally patched up sadly even now there’s such a stigma around mental health I’ve had depression for many years and now I’m on an even keel but it’s shattered my confidence and sometimes still battle with suicidal thoughts let’s hope other young people can seek help Xx

the girls always helped each other (thats Liz, Jenny and Natasha) through the years. Liz was cyber stalked a couple years ago after the big reunion happened and she fell into depression but with Jenny's and Natasha's helped she was managed to speak out about it.
Oh Abz :'( My heart breaks for everything he went through. So glad he's been able to overcome it, really well done. Vicki must be an amazing person to be able to help him through it.
Yeah no they had a really ugly breakup this year... I don't think either of them were ever clean. Breakups tend to not be THAT messy unless there is some really dirty shit going on behind the scenes.

On another note, Tash was married and Rich was with someone; were they both cheating when they got together or had they split with their partners by then? The timeline's pretty close..
Don't know anything about Ritchie's break-up but Tash and her husband separated shortly after The Big Reunion tour. According to her they were drifting apart for awhile and then he moved out of their house.
He was just a kid who wanted to be credible and the whole experience drove him to a nervous breakdown. If anything, J sounds like the guy who gets you hooked on drugs and then walks away from it all while you end up hurriedly chasing the dragon in an alleyway.
I think people miss my point, I was speaking metaphorically about drugs, not literally.
Sean is responsible for Sean - the end. No matter how wrong J was or wasn't, or anyone else was or wasn't. The point is that the vast majority of us go through some horrifying shit in our lives, sadly many of us at a young age, and someone else hurting you entitles you to being wounded but it doesn't stop you from being responsible for your own attitude and life as an adult. There are teens who went through worse and came out better.
It's not as uncommon as you think. Eldridge "Al" Bryant got fired from The Temptations in 1963 and then he misses out on Fame and he never got over it. He pretty much drank himself to death.

I was a huge 5ive fan and although I liked Sean's voice, to me his personality didn't fit with the rest of the group.

i feel like they got kerry to join the band just so Natasha and Liz can have a catfight with her about why she did what she did. the way they treat jenny is much nicer than how they were to kerry and i still feel like to this day they still cannot forgive kerry for dating a member of a boyband (westlife). but im glad jenny is back in atomic kitten now.
In retrospect these guys are very brave to talk to each other like that. So many Groups would never could talk to each other and air out their problems. Only in 2017 did Diana Ross & Mary Wilson make peace with each other. I wish that Girls Aloud would talk out their issues. I feel that if Cheryl didn't influence Kimberley so much things wouldn't be the way that it is now.

It's sad because he was the goodlooking and talented one in the group and now he just looks like a former shell of that gorgeous baby faced boy he used to be! I didn't realize 5ive was dropped from their U.S. label. Now it makes sense because they did the disney concert had the lights go out video play on disney channel & slam dunk the funk was used for a mini dance number in Smart House & then poof gone. I have a feeling their image wasn't what they wanted to portray to american fans and thus they got dropped. Now it makes sense why I heard a few songs and then they were gone but apparently still crushing it in the U.K. plus we didn't have the resources or ability to buy imports like we do now!~!

God almighty! Abz was like Aaron Carter with the Manager who "Robbed" him except it was his Parents. He's lucky he didn't end up some sort of Rock Tragedy. He should write a Book or even talk to the new Generation of Boy Bands/Girl Groups and warn them about how bad the industry could be.
Kinda disgusting that Ritchie cheated on his girlfriend while filming this show with Natasha. I wonder if he was shocked when he saw her without all the make up!

he actually has always had it. If you watch ep1 you will hear Sean saying that he has had the jamaican accent since they met. Technically his father is from Turkey tho, while his mom is English.

Can you imagine how hard it was to go from being in a Boy Band and look at you as a Has Been, maybe getting away helped him keep his Sanity. Also he and Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud also opened a Restaurant called Nadine's Irish Mist in Los Angeles and nobody there knew who she was as a Popstar.

Over the years alot of various Temptations were part of other Groups. Dennis Edwards (RIP) was in The Contours "After" Do You Love Me was released. Richard Street who replaced Paul Williams was in The Originals, and Ricky Owens who was Fired after one show was in The Vibrations, while CG Cameron was part of The Spinners. Co Incidentally it was The Spinners who convinced The Temptations to go to Atlantic.

Sean reminded of The Late Eddie Kendricks Of The Temptations. He was too loyal to his Friend Paul Williams who became heavily addicted to Alcohol and got himself kicked out of the Group. Then David Ruffin who sang lead on My Girl kept telling Eddie to leave before they throw you out, he did and only had one Hit Solo Record "Keep On Truckin". He learned the true meaning of the old saying "Don't Bite The Hand That Feeds You"., and he pretty much spent a large chunk of his life Singing For His Supper. He also had to realize that unlike Smokey Robinson & Diana Ross, he didn't have Berry Gordy in his corner.

The 'Jamaican sound' is now probably more common than Cockney in London! Due to Jamaican immigrants etc. Check out Kidulthood and Adulthood for whole lots of kids talking that way.
Mariah Carey came forward and talked about Bipolarism which I think is wonderful. Also in a co-incidence she and Diana Ross did Duets with Westlife. Sometimes I wonder if Dennis Wilson (The Beach Boys), Florence Ballard (The Supremes) David Ruffin (The Temptations) and Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones) had it.

When I looked at both documentaries it reminded me of Jon Knight of New Kids On The Block. He said when The Group split up, he got very depressed, took meds went for counselling but I sometimes wonder was it because he still hid the fact he was Gay. Also, he admitted that when he was a Teenager he never learned to do anything for himself ie Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, and the like so he he had to learn it at 24 Years Old. They can teach you everything on how to be a Pop Star but they never teach you to have a "Plan B", after the Music Ends so to speak.
Jon Knight of New Kids On The Block had the same problem. He spent Three Years struggling Three Years at The Top, he got very depressed had to take meds and had to deal with his Sexuality. He is know a successful Real Estate Agent and House Flipper who is in a happy relationship with another Man named Harley.
5ive's talk was annoyingly depressing. i mean i literally couldn't stand listening to sean. he was been such a prick. its no wonder j never came back at all. he wanted out of this madness even tho he completed the group, sean &scott always lookd at j like a father figure. which was weird to me, but i think thats why he bullied them to the point of no return. and maybe that was why they hated him for it. nonetheless the only ones i thought had some respect for j were richie and abz. they both tried to get him back but i guess j's fame finally got to his head and couldn't handle it anymore. you guys rmmbr "dont wanna let you go" werent there two versions? one where j was in the m/v and the other he wasnt bc of his drinking problem he had that year. he hated how 1of those m/v's made him look... bc back then he was a heavy drinker and his fame made him a dickhead too which he hated as well. what made it worse was when j's verses became oddly sung by sean & scott after he left, then somehow went to abz and richie. but then one day abz left, and idky but 5ive isnt the same at all. i still feel bad for richie trapped w/ scott & sean w/o abz. scott & sean were all complaining abt how j just up&left the group bc he wanted to do his own thing at home. when they disbanded they all did their own thing too, this reunion thing was important to them, but the moment they talk. scott&sean just start doing what j used to do them when 5ive was startn out who were looking as if they were doing it to richie&abz like wtf guys! im sorry but im actually probably 1of j's fans who is glad he didnt go back for the reunion, yeah he caught up w/abz but let's be honest here. j&abz were always tight, mayb w/ richie as well bc these3 werent childish as much as scott&sean are still been. im sorry but thats the honest truth, its sad and its upsetting. j was always my fave and he's doing fine as of late. its a fact of life closing in on journey he once had which made him miserable to the point of him drinking bc his job was hard, i rmmbr those2 versions of "DWLYG" and he hated those videos bc of how it made him look. im sure when "let's dance" happened it was during sean's hiatus from the group where he needed some time away, j's time away became permanent bc he wanted to go back to normal life outside of his fame which almost destroyed him as a person and as a 5iver. he did the right thing in my opinion. management covered for sean's disappearance bc sean didn't want anyone to know he wasn't doing so hot but j's was out in the open w/no plans to return. ever again, same went w/ abz. tho when j meets up w/abz. you could see how shocked j was when he heard scott&sean hated him. i guess since from the time 5ive disbanded and until abz&j reunited... j had matured and became more mellow whereas you look@ scott&sean who still haven't changed much, but richie is stuck w/them now since abz left too. i pity richie's success now bc his mother was right, she should be still worried bc anything can happen now that j&abz are no longer mentioned w/ 5ive stuff OMFG

I think the manager sold the home for him and was supposed to handle the funds. I believe it because something similar happened to Britney Spears. Her business manager has stolen millions from her and threatened her to work by withholding custody of her children. That same business manager is now refusing to hand over Britney's financial records even though it's Britney's money. The entire thing is actually now playing out in US courts and it's a mess. I feel so sorry for Abz and I wish him well.

And I still don't get how Simon Cowell looked at Sean and thought he would be a good fit. I think he doomed the group from the start. It's sad, cause they could've been so huge, BSB and NSync huge, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

I would have felt bad saying it before because it's harsh, but it's evident that Sean is very bitter and not a very nice, forgiving person, so I don't want to hesitate telling the truth... which is he never had the voice, looks or personality for a boyband, he shouldn't have been in 5ive, and even now in this reunion he is holding back the good feels by being resentful and petty. 5ive would have done EVEN better without him.
Yes, but somehow they manage to find "peace" with one another. The US Popstars Group Eden's Crush haven't spoken to each other in 17 Years. One of the Members Maile Misajon (Mylee Misahon) now lives in Nashville, TN, whose Website is like an Ad For a Clothing Line or A Mom Website. She and Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) never got along. The "Original" Supremes will never reunite nor will The Ronettes, or even The Shangri-Las.

Real Estate is a Big Thing for US Pop Stars. Some do it by choice like Vanilla Ice, Howie Dorough, and Jon Knight and some do it out of necessity like the late Ronnie White of The Miracles. After the Group broke up in 1978 he became a Real Estate Agent and he was the one that helped Stevie Wonder get into Motown and Co Wrote My Girl for The temptations. Also Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie Devoe of Bell Biv Devoe and New Edition also do Real Estate and this year marks their 40th anniversary since debuting with Candy Girl.
One of the toughest things that Boy Band Icons find out the hard way is that trying to be a Solo Artist is very hard. Many Guys from the Boy Band Menudo that Ricky Martin started out in didn't make it, one even became a Fry Cook at Burger King named Miguel Cancel.

The Music used at 11:30 was also featured in Girls Aloud: Ten Years At The Top. I think that the UK Kids fell harder than their US Counterparts. Also Abz should never trust a manager. Ronald Isley (The Isley Brothers) trusted his and when he found out that his taxes weren't paid, he had to go to Prison for Three Years. If he "Sold" The Rights to his Catalogue, it's a very bad move considering that his Music as well as his Brothers is still used all over The World. In fact, Three Girl Group Icons sang Shout over the years. Mary Ann Weiss (The Shangri-Las), Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes), not to mention Nicola Roberts (Girls Aloud).

I've a sibling who is bi-polar. Cant wait 4 next weeks episode. Hope utube though keeps the audio in sync with the video this time though.
Sean was alot like Agnetha Faltskog (The Blonde Lady) from Abba. After the Group broke up, she pretty much purged herself of her Celebrity, Music to the point that she didn't even buy a Record Player. Her philosophy "Been There, Done That". When they were inducted into The Rock 'N Roll Hall Of Fame she didn't even attend.

Kerry at least tried to do jobs and get work. Florence Ballard Of the Supremes was so devastated and ashamed of her downfall, she was scared to leave the house. I thnk she was Bipolar as well. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys was misdiagnosed as schizophrenic but he has a disorder called Schiizoid Affective Disorder. Now he is in the early stages of dementia, and he recently lost his wife melinda ledbetter.

Even if he did not want to participate in the gig as a member of the band, I feel like him and Sean really needed to talk things over, just to put a full stop to all those grudges that happened a long time ago and to be able to move on. I am pretty sure J is suffering from it as much as Sean does.
