Audi is crushing their design at the moment. BMW just disappoints me with every performance car launch (except maybe the M3 Touring). I don’t think I need to say anything about Mercedes in this regard. Also so hyped for the upcoming RS5
A lot of newer Audi's are like that, they originally have a good design going and then they mess it up with a refresh or redesign(EX: 1st gen R8 vs new 2nd gen, A4, A5, and etc)
0:11 Saying that the Huracan ''is a mid engine sports car'' as a differentiating factor when comparing it to the audi R8 is the same thing as saying ''it has 4 wheels''
subjective, but i can see this is as an argument of a car that basically designed perfectly from the start, some will like the facelift, some prefer the pre facelift model
I really don't agree that this is an improvement. The lower front of the pre-facelift could be cleaned up, sure, but the main "Single Frame" grille feels more comfortably welcomed. The new facelift front has so much negative space with t-rex arms of body color reaching in weakly. I think it would be a lot better if the bottom body color mandible-things went up diagonally to meet with the bottom corners of the grille, and perhaps bridged across to each other to make a sort of shelf for the Single Frame grille. Maybe I would just make the main grille outline body color but that would also be somewhat generic.
DANG, they ruined the front end with the refresh. The older one is bad ass, the newer one looks like they went all honey comb and thought, no, it needs a huge horse collar harness for plowing in the middle of all that honey comb.
ruined is a bit of a stretch lol, it seems some just don't like how the facelift turn, but i don't see it as ruined, it's just a mandatory cycle they have to do
On wheel weight, its not just the total weight, but WHERE that weight is. Even at the same weight, the larger diameter wheels will perform worse due to the mass being further away from the wheel center. Smaller diameter wheels almost always give better suspension, accel and braking performance though it doesn't look as good maybe.
If they made a rsq8 comp-hybrid that would be king over the urus se or even the turbo gt. I think it’s the most balanced design it looks muscular without being ostentatious like the Lambo
I don’t really understand what they’re trying to do with the grille and lower part. It’s not that I don’t like it, but it just seems constantly “in progress” and less like a fully thought-through design.
Hands down not the best refresh, completely disagree with the new font for the badging, the older one was just fine and it starts to show some age. Huge disappointment. Come on Audi, where’s the good in this?
"It wouldn't work in the family, there'd be arguments at the dinner table" I want to remind everyone that Audi shut down the Estoque concept, because "it would've competed with A8 sales", and that's why Lamborghini couldn't have a somewhat supercar-esque shooting brake like the Ferrari FF or so. Because it would've competed with all 6 A8 sales Audi makes per year in the west. That's why we have that damn Urus now, which is probably as far away from a Lamborghini DNA as possible
It's a good piece of graphic design, with impeccable attention to detail. But it has the same flaw as many cars in production: it's still the same gigantic fake off-road SUV, with volumes and proportions seen over and over and over again. No completely insane solution, something out of the box that makes you think "what did I just see?". Example : Lamborghini Suv? Ok, make it a crazy V12 hybrid mid-engine, only available with a soft top, and the rear seats can found place only at the side of the engine. What we have in reality ? An Audi with a different skin. _ Yet another well-executed task, completely forgettable 5" after you've got off. And that's Style job, not Design. A settle, but fundamental difference.
Audi has been focusing too much on dancing lights. They've neglected overall exterior designs of their cars. Their designs are aging, they have fake exhaust tips, with the exception of RS performance models.
I feel like Lamborghini is losing its identity. That new urus styling is a step backwards. The new revuelto, while definitely a cool car, isn’t Lamborghini cool, makes the aventador look way better. Just waiting on the huracan replacement. My opinion, that’s all.
Idk if I'd call this an improvement. Audis have been boring stylistically since the early 2010s because they couldn't move on from that done and copied to death oversized Auto Union grille. It already did what it was supposed to. It's time for a completely new and radical forward thinking design language that takes into account EVs or hydrogen or whichever will be the propulsion method of the future. If Kia can let go of the tiger nose, Audi can surely do the same. It's not like modern Audi is that much older than Kia. Sad to think in the 2000s Audi was the vanguard of style and tech. Or at least seemed like it. Now they're not. I hope they find their way back to the ultra high tech Iron Man cool they represented back in the noughties.
Out of the big 3 german manufacturers, audi is the most beautiful one. Bmw lost its way, and mercedes looks like an egg. Good job audi.
Nah
That Mercedes one is so much more hurtful than the Beemer one
yes@@CJ-hv6fe
Nope
I totally agree with you
Audi is crushing their design at the moment. BMW just disappoints me with every performance car launch (except maybe the M3 Touring). I don’t think I need to say anything about Mercedes in this regard. Also so hyped for the upcoming RS5
Yeah the Mercedes design are good except the EQ'S all they have to do is just keep the V8's
i prefer the front of the old one the lights looked much more aggressive than the new one and the previous honeycomb grill looked much better imo
Yeah kinda agree with you also liked the taillights how there like a dent in it
As an Audi driver I agree.

He didn't think this through
Old one definitely looks better to me. It's like when they "refreshed" the Jag F-Type...it looked worse!
No lol
Nah this don't look worse, for me it's better and it's one of the best looking SUV in the market

@@blerprod9420 the badge looks worse
Pre-facelift looks more aggressive
Don't worry, they'll probably make a mansory version. This fits better in its class next to the RS6

The RSQ8 will always be the more understated, classy, less shouty, kid in town.
understated maybe not when 90% of the front is grill/black
Audi for sure. That design is beautiful 🥵
Love the new front end.
Sad Thing Is, Audi Cars Are All Beautiful 😍 Luxurious & All That But People Still Choose BMW & Merc …. I Love RSQ8 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
the stupid people who dont know their cars choose them yes.

Audi is on a comeback. Looking forward to their upcoming new models.
It looks good, unlike BMW's these days e.g New M5, XM, new X3, M2, i7 that's it
Between the Hurrican and R8 I will choose the Lambo but between The urus and RSQ8 I will defiantly choose the Audi .
Audi new wheels are absolutely beautiful, well done audi
React the new bentley gt

Beautiful car and lines ruined by the new ugly 3D Rings and new typography is so boring, especially for an “RS”.
As an Q8 driver I agree.
New badges are terrible. Everyone hating them.
Wait they changed the badge? What's different about it?
new font for RS badges, and Audi rings are just flat
I can promise you this is faster than new urus 😂😂
Old 1st gen Urus Shits on this piece of crap outdated audi 🤣 relax please

The outgoing RSQ8 has a 2 in the front facia design and the new RSQ8 has a 3. Play it back and you'll see.
Could you please make a video on the new Aston Martin Valiant?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on its design!
Prefer the old honeycomb front.
Just realized this is one of those cars where the grille takes up almost the entire front end of the car 🤯
You should do a design review of the current Audi Q range of SUVs. Q2 all the way up to Q8
Whenever I see an RS Q8, if I am excited and impressed first 1-2 seconds, then I am sure it is the old version.
So pleased Audi stepped away from VW and Lamborghini in their design language.
i would go for the urus and the r8
I would never think that I would say this, but Audi is doing a much better job than BMW. The new cars look great!
Pre-facelift RSQ8 front looked way more agressive. Now it looks like every typical Audi SUV, Q7 etc...
I don’t really understand what they’re trying to do with the grille and lower part. It’s not that I don’t like it, but it just seems constantly “in progress” and less like a fully thought-through design.
200 hundred more horses. My dear friend. 200. They aren’t the same anymore.
I don’t care for this facelift at all, the previous fascia was better looking overall. The new Audi rings are terrible.
Hands down not the best refresh, completely disagree with the new font for the badging, the older one was just fine and it starts to show some age. Huge disappointment. Come on Audi, where’s the good in this?
Forged wheels to save weight. In a flipping suv 😂
Pre-face lift looks more expensive and thought out

It's actually 640 hp the Audi designer stated that to matt Watson from carwow

no it's not
This amount of blacked up front starts to look bizzare and cheap
Audi for ever 😍♥️🦎🦎🦎💣💥💪😎🤪
Huracan Performante >>>

@@Robertkajman No, I have good taste and this front end is an insult. And I'm a former Audi owner and (sometimes) fan.

It lacks the "front" a bit
I'd take the Audi. I'd feel like an idiot driving a rebatched RSQ8 with 200% of the price

audi is playing it safe with releasing facelifts only. when are we going to see them design something new not just lights and bumpers
