Please watch Roland Garros 2017 finals when Rafa goes into beast mode!
Wawrinka took the french from Novak and the Australian from Rafa. I guess Stan is the man. He made sure the universe is in Balance.
of course he is a man! women cannot compete in man category! 😂😂😂
E recentemente Nadal pegou o AO 22 do Djoko, e o Djoko o RG 23 de Nadal
Wawrinka’s backhand is like a sleeping pitbull: you don’t wanna disturb it.
Not sure why people are downplaying Wawrinka's win here by saying Nadal was injured. The first set he was fine and Stan outperformed him. His level was too high. I don't blame the crowd booing Nadal when he came back from a long time off court after that 1st set either, Nadal took many injury timeouts in the first few years of his career only to go on and win the match comfortably. This time, he really did have an injury.
No matter what people say, Stan, fed were so beautiful and entertaining to watch than these days champions who possess everything but not the grace 😮
This was the first ever tennis match at I have saw in my life when I just turned 10 years old way back in 2014 January and this was the match that not only made me a tennis fan but also wawinka fan too
Watching this highlights after his win in first round of Shanghai Open is pure Cherry on the cake
Wawrinka❤
stanimal. never forget this match. i am a fan of nadal but this stan is unplayable level for any player that time
Nadal’s back injury here was the end of his prime. He was never the same, he won RG but his clay season overall was so much worse than previous years. Then he missed the US Open and his form collapsed completely
The way Stan played in the 1st set I think he might well have beaten Nadal anyway, but their overall H2H makes it hard to be certain. Nadal came back from losing 1st sets at that AO already. But Stan was hitting so hard
2012 Nadal would destroyed this stan but this is tennis
No he came back to his form in 2017
Took him 3 years to return to that mental peak level too
@@tennis-man22…and then he found himself again facing backhand slaps one after another, courtesy of another Swiss chap…
@@l-_-lShadowCat federer was just goated in 2017 lol, he played gr8, I think he developed a match up advantage vs Rafa since 2017
Missing those days
Rafa been hindered by injury all his career.
still never gave up, kept coming back and winning.
My GOAT 🐐
By the style of his play, it is a miracle that he was able to play as long as he did
Sure Rafa was injured this match, but Stan beat Novak who won the previous 3 AOs and the next 2. So he deserved this one more than anyone.
The whole "Rafa was injured" excuse doesn't fly with me. If you're really injured you shouldn't be playing. If you play injured don't use it as an excuse for losing because you obviously still played believing you could win injured. You can't have it both ways - take extra credit for winning injured but use it as an excuse for losing.
What are you talking about? It's true that Rafa was injured. It's not an excuse or anything. This is a Grand Slam final. It's a tournament worth playing even if you're injured.
Wawrinka was 100% going to win this slam. Nadal’s injury is a propaganda to mask Stan’s incredible first slam success. Nadal fans can go and threaten the injuries themselves.
仮にラファが万全だったとしてもスタンが優勝してた思う。それくらいスタンは攻撃的に、精度高くプレーしていた。
Wawrinka no matter what, sets up his kill shot.

Wawrinka grew too much in Grand Slam. He has the best backhand in the history of tennis. It does damage!

Poor Rafa. He’s been robbed of many slams. He has missed 18, robbed by indoor roof in Wimbledon 2018 and the back injury here and many more. The GOAT for sure, nobody can change my mind
Delusional
Your mind needs a change for sure... even if he did got injury he still got completely outplayed by wawrinka at the first set.. he would probably won the match any way..he simply was too good

Wawrinka won two finals against Nadal and Djokovic, what Federer couldnt do in finals many times
He needed Nadal to be injured to do it. Check their history prior to this match. Wawrinka hadn't even taken a set off him across multiple surfaces. Djokovic, on the other hand, was fairly beaten.
@@bubufububut Stan had never shown the level of this tournament before in his career. The first set Nadal was fine, Stan won it fair and square.
@@xElNinoo Continue deluding yourself for as long as you want. Nadal injured his back during the warm-up and it progressively got worse.
Nadal could turn things around if not the back injury.
This is prime Nadal vs Peak Wawrinka ,who beat Djokovic that year
How is this prime Nadal? He was hindered by a back injury that cost him the match.
2014 WAS NOT prime nadal
A very good nadal tho but he got injured that final
@@shrikartummala8055his path to the final was impressive, he won epic battles vs Nishikori & Dimitrov then he overpowered Federer in straight sets in SF, he was playing great tennis till that back issue.
Wawrinka beat Djokovic who is even better than Nadal on AO
No, it's not. 2014 is the beginning of Nadal, post prime. He didn't fall of a cliff, of course, but injuries began to take over that year. Because he's insanely good (especially on clay and at RG), he was still able to find quite a bit of success but 2014 is the year that things really changed. The fallout is explicitly evident during his 2015 and 2016 seasons.
thanks god wawrinka won that match.. i saw many times that kind of actitud from nadal and he ends up winning the matches
Did not like Nadal's gamesmanship in this match.
I don’t like your lack of comprehension and logic
Explain
@@lbjeffries he can’t and he won’t lmfao
Wow. If you believe Nadal is guilty of gamesmanship here, then you must absolutely despise Djokovic for all his gamesmanship over the years.
@@bubufubuthey are both disgusting with all the gamesmanship they use
