My issue is I cant access coco except for Amazon so I go get peat moss bales and mix with rice hulls and use down to earth brand but I cant get my soil p.h. below 7! I use veg mix, bloom mix, oyster shell, azomite, and once a month insect frass and castings tea... I ph my water @5.8 to 6.2 just try lower soil ph but it stays just about 7.0 no matter what...?? How can get that perfect soil ph?

Same here! I Drink RO with flavor shots or coffee maker, Navage nose cleaner and water pick toothbrush. I add a super small pinch of salt to the coffee grounds. Keeps my Coffee Maker and humidifier clean. The RO filter I have is only 1 gal of RO to 1/2 gal waste. I use the waste water in the summer for my outdoor plants (after it sits for at least 24 hours).

It's apparently illegal to collect rainwater here in NYC. Kinda ridiculous. I'm assuming it was a law passed during the West Nile virus mosquito scare, risk of standing water going stagnant and all. I'd love to hear anyone's experience with using distilled water. It's as close to RO as I can get right now. Our tap here comes out between 40 and 75ppm I'm just not keen on adding any chlorinated water to my coco with active microbials.

If coir holds on to magnesium, give it only magnesium as epsom salt. No need or benefit to adding calcium nitrate which is in "calmag". A little dolomite lime does wonders too.
I used canna as "soil" charged with gaia green 2-8-4, earthworm castings, and zero run off. It works amazingly.

Takes about a month to settle in to the different watering techniques. But once u get it down, omg what I difference. I kinda like watering everyday said no one. U do have more control which is nice though. I learned if u don't water everyday in coco. Nothing but bad shit happens. Don't do like me.

He talked about bringing fresh air in from the outside. How do you go about doing this during the winter months. Here it goes from 0-35°f. Also during the summer the humidity is very high. It seems like the de humidifier will constanly be on.
