    I watched this video the day before the big storm hit Texas. We were without power and I decided to make this stew with what I had in the kitchen. I put it together, and put it in the fireplace for a few hours. It was fantastic! Thank you for the timely recipe!

      That could possibly be the coolest thing I've ever heard! Not the power outage, for that I'm very sorry, but you did make a campfire stew on you fireplace....and for that we salute you Sir!

    Hi Anna. At the bottom we place pork skin to prevent meet and vegetables from burning down. Site of the pot covered by cabbage 🥬 Fine chopped veggies are placed in layers mixed with meet, layers are seasoned with salt and pepper. At the end, on top of our pieczone we place cabbage 🥬 to seal the pot. It's good with glass of beer 🍺. Good fun for kids too.

    That looks delicious. Anna you need to show your followers how to make Bigos I think it's Christmassy, my uncle and grandpa would make it over a fire while tending to the smoker or wendzarka in the summer and fall smoking their catch from their fishing trips and homemade kolbasa and szynka, of course us kids were sent down to the garden plot to check on them and make sure their vodka blood levels were not too high, we stoped to get fresh bread and the Bigos was our reward. I buy it in a jar from the international section at the grocery store all year round. And the stuff in the jar does not come close to the taste I remember. But it does require sauerkraut so I guess you will make that first when the season comes. I love how your recipes are seasonal. It hurts knowing what possibilities will come, just have to sit and patiently wait for them. Wishing you the best of the best

    A very relaxing video. Nicely done Anna. I am a huge fan of outdoor cooking. I cook outside over an open fire year round. I had to check to see if I have everything for this. I'll have to substitute broccoli for cauliflower but that's not a bit deal. I just happen to have bought a whole pork belly a couple weeks ago. I buy it whole then cut it up into smaller pieces depending what I plan to use it for. Great video Anna!! Thanks.

    I spotted the bottle of Tyskie. I usually drink this beer or Okocim or Żywiec. To my taste, Polish beer is far superior to American beers, especially on tap. I've also discovered Piwo Grodziskie, which I like very much. The casserole looks delicious!! It appears your dog is hoping for some!!

    Anna , when my Bushia used to make Polish sausage we had it boiled or baked. Do I have to boil my sausage for 30 minutes and then put it in the oven to crisp up. I love your tattoos also. Great recipes and you remind me of my Mother when she was young.

    I love it! Especially tossing the scraps on the ground! True camping! ❤️ we have a fire pit in our backyard so we will try it! My son is also a Civil War re-enactor and this would be a perfectly dish to try in camp. How big is your Dutch oven?

    Hi -- I don't go camping anymore and Colorado is usually under a fire alert so fires aren't allowed at campgrounds. If I made this in the kitchen, how do you suggest? Slow cooker?

    Hi Anna!!! if you need to do this in the house, what would you set the oven at and how long would you go? Thanks!!

    • @PolishYourKitchen
      @PolishYourKitchen  Рік тому +1

      I have never done it in the oven, but if I did, I would set the oven at 180 celsius or 350 Fahrenheit and cook for about an hour checking half way. It may need longer, but if you just keep an eye on it, you can't go wrong. Thanks for watching!
