Hi I have watched your videos and subscribed I have a 18 foot Allison bass boat has the 1985 200 mercury I’m about to redo the carburetors while I’m going do this since I seen your videos I will be replacing the reeds also from Chris Carson’s marine thank you for your videos just wanted say thanks
I recall watching a you tube video where a marine mechanic used an inductive type timing light with an rpm function to check double firing. The timing light pickup was placed on each individual spark plug wire with the engine running. Each wire checked should indicate similar rpm readings. If one of the wires should twice the rpm readings as the others it would indicate a double fire.
The white powder on the O-rings is a rodent deterrent, and must be washed off prior to use. I purchased rubber bellows for a stern drive, and the manufacture added that to the installation instructions. Great how-to video...I mean "NON-DIY Video"
What happens typically when one of these things runs out of oil and they quit does it usually require the whole engine rebuild or can you just re-ring it
Nice video, starting is hard without enrichment lol. I was wondering where you got the red velocity stacks on the powerhead at the start of the video? They look like plastic almost? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Hey man I got a question I was wondering how I can get a hold of you? Does that motor have a thermal valve? I didn’t see one on I was wonder if the motor needs it or not. I think mine stuck open and it Boggs down was just going to block it off any feed back?
Can you tell me why my xr6 150 won’t piss? I replaced the water pump today and made sure the pipes were clears. Still won’t piss. Any help I’d appreciated!
Love this channel. For whatever reason, every video of yours that I watch it's either raining on your end or raining here.
Lol seems like it's always raining when I decide to shoot. Thanks for watching!
Great job my friend

Depends on the extent of the damage. I'm happy to diagnose/service it for you.
Did you check the heads for warpage and correct it? It makes the heads seal much better
