Never in a million years did I expect a jailbreak above 8. I had a 9.00 console just for newer digital and disc games, and thanks to this channel I was able to dump my digital collection to fpkg. The game dumper on the Night King site you showcased in your 9.00 tutorial worked perfectly.
Good thing I’ve been so busy for Christmas because I would’ve been on 9.03 otherwise.

Well there's a lot of new people (and a lot being kids) new to jailbreaking their ps4's. They just don't know any better.
If it's misinformation, they are not gaining anything, it's a mistake or error. If they are purposefully deceiving, it's called disinformation done with intent.

Important notes: Do not turn on IDU mode. It's a restriction that's almost impossible to get out of. If an app lists versions and does not have a 9.00 do not run 7.55. It will crash and may brick your PS4. Do not mess with random settings in general.

That's about everything you need to know. Thank you Modded Warfare. And guys, from experience I'm telling you, if you either plug out the usb after closing the prompt or let it remain inside, it's not gonna affect your PS4. Just make sure you don't insert the usb before the prompt or else your system will crash and you will have to reformat the usb and rewrite the disc image in the USB for the USB to work
So its ok to let it plug in after shutdown the ps4? Turn it back on and the stick is recognized again when exploiting?
@@John-oo9xu Let me be specific. Only plug the USB in when the prompt comes, not before that. You can keep it plugged in throughout your game time after that. But the moment you shut down your PS4, take it out. Plug the USB again when you get to the prompt part after turning your PS4 anew.
@@John-oo9xu Because if you keep the USB plugged in and start your PS4 after a shutdown, the PS4 will detect your USB as a fresh start and your system will crash

Thanks to you I managed to get what I never thought possible , I just so happened to have a spare ps4 with a defunct hard drive , swapped it for the one in my main ps4 and followed you’re jailbreak tutorial now I’m having more fun than I ever had on a regular ps , it’s so good being able to mod games , get them for free and just do whatever I please with my ps , legend thank you modded warfare

Ofcourse ps5 are never in stock.

Hey modded, even though the jailbreak is just roughly 48 hours old, do uou know when we can expect to see some more homebrew apps, and anything else? Also do you plan to do a series on the 9.00 jailbreak?
Thx alot mate for the explanation, but I think I will stay on my 5.05 until I hear in the future that a new method has been introduced for jailbreaking the PS4 without the need to use a USB flash drive everytime.
It is not as critical as you may think. In less than 1 minute you do the whole process and it works 95% of the time (the other 5% only requires a reboot and try again). The 9.00 should allow you to test more backups without the need for fixes and it is already fully functional offline, requiring a connection only to save the page in the cache (then you can deactivate it forever).
Literally got a 2GB flash drive for $4 at dollar general. Flash the image to that and let it sit by the PS4, its literally a 30 second process ro jailbreak its super easy.
@@FoxyDrew The best thing is that you don't even need to buy a USB (assuming you have an old one). The USB I have used is about 10 years old and only 1GB (It doesn't even have a brand). Working like a charm.

I used the User Guide menu method. Other websites/method you mention just crashed my PS4 multiple times. Thanks a lot for your tutorials. The 9.00 exploit will surely bring newcomers to the PS4 modding community.
Another question, I'm new with all this. After applying the payload for disabling the updates in the Karo host does we need to do it again every time console is restarted? I'm asking this question in the case DNS are the default in order to have connection for some games like GTS that need internet connection to save the progress.
It took me a full day to get the Jailbreak to work the first time. I don't know if it was my USB drive or server overload but I finally got it to work once lol Granted it's my first time ever doing this sort of thing 😅

Does this jailbreak interfere with the retail mode(not jailbreak), meaning Sony will identify a console who used jailbreak even if you go on the store or online play with the retail mode after I updated to the latest firmware?

I don't care about brick rumors I saw your all jailbreak tutorial and they worked great you're the best jailbreak explainer thanks bro and i updated my ps4 9.00 jailbreak yesterday and its working great thanks bro for your help and here's a tip for ps4 slim and ps4 pro users remove top plate of your ps4 slim or pro if the fan is running loud it will become silent in 2 min and stay silent in gameplays because it's not getting enough cold air for cooling just remove top plates of your ps4 slim and pro plate

How did you update it?
I just wanted to be able to play P.T that's all I wanted and this provided that for me I'm really not interested in any new PS4 games I already have everything I want for the system. When in comes to homebrew I prefer the PS3 so I use that for all that stuff. All the newer games I'm interested in I'll probably get on ps5.

What issues? I've noticed it stops working after rest mode. Have to reboot and boot CFW again.

Yes I am also currently on 6.72 which is fairly stable. The USB plug n unplug is quite a hassle. So not updating for now. Maybe in future we might not need USB then I will update for sure

I saw on twitter someone said leaving the usb in may corrupt the kernel on reboot. To be fair i’m pretty tech savvy and corrupting the kernel sounds like a brick to me. If thats not the case then I wish some things were written in laymen speak
I wouldn’t keep it in. I was dumb enough to insert it before it told me to and it crashed my PS4.
Rule 1 just dont leave the usb in ;)safety first, a very small price to pay for a 9.0 jailbreak . Anyone that leaves the drive pluged in cant be using the jailbreak correctly cos i dont have a spare usb port to leave it plugged in 😀 hardrives , vr , charger docks , headset ,
@@Robbo705 I was charging a controller and needed to put another usb stick in but wasn't sure if removing the hacked usb stick would be bad. I chanced it, and it was fine

No, because 6.72 has 3 kernel exploits, and updating to 9.00 you're going to be reduced to one

I have an external hdd plugged in that stores my games. Is it okay if I dont remove it while I'm in the process of jailbreaking my ps4?
I have always done that on my 7.55 jailbreak, im guessing it would still be the same for 9.00.
Best is to remove it and plug it in afterwards. This is also what MW says in his JB video. Just watch it carefully and the answers will come :)

I think it's not about jailbreak success rate out of 10. It's about how stable is the ps4 after the exploit is injected.
When 6.72 jailbreak was out my ps4 performed differently each time it was jailbroken, sometime the ps4 was running very stable and sometimes it was lagging. I haven't used my ps4 in a while so I don't know current state of jailbreak.
6.72 was weird for me. 1 exploit host would work for about a week. Then it would give me nothing but failed jailbreaks the next. So I had to switch back/forth between 2 different exploits host each week to get it to work. 9.00 is just plug & play exploit which is why its more stable b/c it doesn't rely on the host

There might be some mod chip in future that automates it. Some people are already using USB hub's that have toggle switches.

I'm going to stay on 6.72 because I want to be able to exploit the console without a USB drive. If someone backports the USB exploit to 6.72 (or 7.02) then I might use it for the extra stability. I would also recommend using a USB hub or extension cable of some sort to avoid wearing out the USB ports.

my ps4 was on 8.51, i updated it to 9.00 and did the jailbreak, it was very easy, also there's that goldHen menu under settings that you can install packages from, no need to do it from the browser a bunch of times, as i've seen on older videos, it's working great
Just update it guys! I'm using it! And it very stable! But the problem is we alway need USB everytime we want to play :(.
How is that an issue? It's a one time plug in, take out when prompted on each boot up. Leave the system in permanent rest mode afterwards.
not really if u setup rest mode settings correclty unless if u need to turn it off or there is power outage then yes sadly
@@hanzobi1926 i mean everytime you turned off and then open it up sometimes you forgot and accidentally plug the USB in while the PS4 haven't opened yet and then we have to wait for the PS4 restart system that make it uncomfortable. I always shut down my PS4 at night and usually forgot to Jailbreak first then plug usb in. So it's pretty...annoy.

@@gvanderlee2703 People forget or were only a child when the PS3 was first hacked and to use a Teensy dongle flashed with a payload to enable debug settings in the early days.
Nobody is ever happy and complains about something and your getting access to free games at the end of the day.

But he state it might, he just said that that's why im hesitant to update, because my daughter is jailbreaking my ps4 to play her game, and Im concern she might left the usb on ps4 and accidentally turn on ps4 while the usb is inserted.
The other guy which I will not mention literally said that it might corrupt or something brick your ps4.
May that where the rumors start which make people ,( including me hesitant to update)

crazy that jailbreaking is so up to date now i have a jalibroken ps4 that was one of the first ps4s ever made and it has the white light of death so i never touched it much when it fully broke but i haven't touched my main ps4 in so long that now its jailbreakable!

I don't want to update... To be honest, the convenience of just pressing a button to jailbreak without having to insert a USB stick every time I boot up the console... I'm not convinced at 100%. I'll stay on 6.72 unless the backports reach its end. Will be hard to get used to when it comes but I hope when that moment arrives, we have another jailbreak like we had previous times.

Ah man this just frustrates me, I just recently got a ps4 again, just before 9.03 came out, and updated to 9.03 not thinking. Then the info for 9.0 came out and now this.

One issue tho when you said to disable the updates from the site. It doesn't work. It says enable bootloader although it is enabled!
As someone on 5.0.5 This is so tempting. I really want access to what's basically the entire PS4 library. I held off on the newer firmwares due to their stability. But if I can get to 9.0 with nearly the same stability... I think that's reason enough to dig the PS4 out.
I am on the same boat, I am still figuring out if I should update to 9.0 coming from 5.05
@@Thisisjackpot especially with 5.0.5 being able to play patched games. But my concern is with 9.0 being JB, as discussed in the video people will stop patching the games. I honestly thought about trying to pickup another PS4 since finding one on 9.0 or lower shouldn't be hard, not nearly as hard as finding one running 5.0.5

You need only to click the first time ;)
You only need to run this payload one time.. it loads everytime you jailbreak your console!
i have playstation 4 slim 1 tb and my version is 5.05 i play games by backporting i haven't had any time till now because this version 5.05 is super stable for me
I am really impressed by your tutorial geniune content. Currently, I am on ps4 frimware 5.05 and after installing the back port games such as Demon Slayer, Cold of Duty Cold War. The game just install fine without any issue however from the notification section it says waiting for the installl. Any idea how to fix the issue.

IMO if you can not return the USB to a normal state you should not be trying to mod anything. This is not for the everyday man that does not understand how software works. The comments need to leave stuff alone they do not understand how or why it works hence getting the comment of "my PS is bricked!". Yes ... after the problems with 7.55 that thing works without a problem for me
