Do you think that it would be possible to install Linux on the PS5, when it is released, like you can on the PS4?

I can't believe that we have come so far.. 9.00 already, I believe it broke the world record of being almost as stable as 5.05, no previous jailbreak has been able to do that.

I had my PS4 modded on 1.76 back in the day, but never knew that you could run game backups!! I used it just for linux
my eyes hurt....its so hard back in days to be a jailbreak user

All i meant is just look at all the the great things that the 5.05 Jailbreak has to offer straight out the box i still enjoy my 5.05 Jailbreak daily & the 733 games i have ..people forget its all free maybe the JBscene will die or is infact dead but i will always be eternally greatful

The stability on 9.00 is phenomenal. Never had any issues. But I wonder, why ppl are stuck on 5.05? Can't they just update to 9.00?
I am really wondering what ever happened to TheFl0w's exploit. He said he had something quite a while ago and I was super excited about it because I know the man delivers but then it got all quite and we haven't heard from him for a long time. I am really wondering WHY. Everyone is stuck at home right now, this would be a great time.
I think they're waiting for the PS5 to be released. But the exploit used for 5.55 & 6.20 works for 6.50 & 7.02 as well. More games available when they finally release it.
I think ho is waiting for MIRA ti came out.
Maybe after release of Ghost of tsushima in July. There won't be any big exclusives then so it's possible. After release of ps5 and release of ghost is the same.

Probably as soon as he made some breakthrough he contacted others from the scene to compare notes and he was initiated in the master plan to keep the exploit secret as it is probably a powerful backdoor into Sony's security and they need to see if that same flaw will pop up in the PS5. You too would keep quiet if you were sitting on something that would give you access to something that is not even released yet. Bad news for us is - this is a never ending waiting game. Unless Sony patches the vulnerability and cuts off further access they won't release the exploit. And Sony won't know what to patch before seeing what the exploit is.

To go to the hosts file just type "drivers" in the windows "run" popup, it brings you all the way to Windows\System32\drivers, then you just need to enter the etc folder

Glad i discovered about Jailbreaking only by 4.55.
Didn't take long before 5.05 Jailbreak was released later.
Hopefully a Jailbreak to PS5 is released when the console hits shelves, to enable us play PSx and PS2 isos 😃

"5.50 - 6.50: Fully exploited in private" ok fine we can't force you to release but why even bother telling people if it's private. Just keep it to yourself if you don't wanna release. We've been on 5.05 for two years now =(
Plenty of reasons for that. 1 major one is releasing it now would break the exploit chain, so all the hard work would be wasted for crying sheep users like you, as SONY will just patch it out. Then it be back to square 1 or never for a new kernel hack.
