It is amazing in old machines that everything is removable and repairable. Compare that with todays non repairable stuff and throwaway culture. Thanks for the video!!
When it is manufactured in ways to cut costs down, they are not repairable as easily. Having multiple parts adds to manufacturing processes that are more elaborate & the mindset has shifted to forget about longevity, lets just make sure it lasts a few weeks/months. Who cares when it is years old. It is also the same with how content is consumed, not many want to watch 2 hour movies, prefer 2 mins 20 secs i.e. 140 secs, large screen has given way to small screen etc.. ah the societies we are living in..
You'll find that this is common when it comes to industrial equipment and high quality stuff. You can usually find parts and replacements for industrial stuff 50 or 75 years later and the standards are usually the same. You can get stuff around the house that is the same, but it will cost you many times more than the residential grade stuff. For instance, you can buy water faucets and door knobs that the manufacturers still use the same parts from 50 to 75 years ago. But a faucet will cost you $1000 and a door knob from Cal-Royal will cost you $500. If you look at the industrial quality machines in like a kitchen that prepares food for mass sales, you will find the equipment can easily last 100 years with only minor repairs. Back some 125 years ago, they invented the machines to make paper clips for the entire USA. It sounds silly for such a small thing, but there are only like 2 manufacturers in the entire USA that make paper clips. They have been using the same machines 24/7 that were invented back 125 years ago. When one of them breaks down, they don't buy a new one, because they basically don't exist. They repair the old ones with replicable parts and then it cranks out another billion paperclips in a year.

I have watched countless videos on restorations from clocks, to cars to furniture and everything in-between, but you Sir rate amongst the top three of all time in my books. A true Master Craftsman, regardless of what you repair...............
I own one of these sellarc grease guns. I find it great for greasing pto shafts on tractors and machinery. Just not good for larger capacity, jobs as they take forever to fill a larger void!
It's the small things that do it. Like when you turn the knob so the letters were vertical. I can control my OCD but it's nice when I don't have to. 😁 Fantastic job as always, really looking forward to the next one. Cheers 🍻👍
Great work as always! I recently finished a 14 month restoration of a 1992 Ford Mustang 5.0 and I can confirm that paint stripper is indeed super lethal and toxic. I could never apply the stuff without a respirator on! I also ride a couple of Hondas so I am looking forward to the new project. Cheers from the USA. 👍
Am I the only one who goes directly at the end of the video to see next project?😜of course I see the video after that. Really looking forward to see next restoration project .. I love two strokes!
I heard you say "Light Restoration" and the first thing I thought was "Aye Right". At least it was only dry flatting this time. Brilliant work as usual, looking forward to the CR.
Can’t wait to see the Honda restoration! My late father had one for many years except his was yellow. It unfortunately sat in our shed for about 10 years until we sold it back in 2014. Awesome job on that pump btw!
Awesome restoration and many THANKS !!! you made my day and week-end, I had a 250CR of 1985, I am so happy, can't wait to see you restoring that fantastic bike, it's Christmas for me, Thank you !
Another great restoration, and as usual it was told expertly with good camera work and thoughtful editing. Really puts us in the room with you. Thanks for leaving the wobbly paint can in! 👍🇦🇺
It is so satisfying to see something old transformed to its original perfect glory 👏👏👏👏👏 done by R.R.C good work brother . Watching all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦
Just found your channel and I’m so impressed by the quality of your restorations! I’ll no doubt spend the next few hours watching your videos! Cheers! 🏴
I got a milwaukee 1/4 electric ratchet you can have to restore and use around the shop. You would need to get a battery and charger but i do know it works.
Wow Brother that turned out absolutely fantastic, it looks to good to use now. I'm looking forward to the next video. Cheers from the east coast of Australia N.S.W 🇦🇺 🤠🤝
How sweet! 1986 CR250! Gonna enjoy this one🥰 Oh wait, I enjoy all your restoration projects but... Being a life long moto guy, I am even more interested in this particular specimen. Let's go!
Great video I really enjoy all your uploads but these side projects really do show how things are built to last and now it’s built to break so we have to buy another. I literally shouted “YES!” When I see that awesome CR revealed, I had a 1990 cr250 an awesome bike and would like a 450F one day I literally can’t wait to see this one being transformed.
Not just lethal , but super lethal! Looking forward to the big project, I have something similar but only 1 year old. Oh, and lovely wobble on that spray can @8:04
Yet another highly entertaining RRC vid, thank you. Can you please tell me what litre capacity your ultrasonic cleaner is, and what brand of cleaning fluid you use in it. In hindsight, would you choose the same capacity again, or go for a different size? Thanks.
Yes I know the thumbnail and title are a bit click baity and I apologize ,but I'm running a little experiment just now, please bear with me ;)

“At RRC we don’t do light”
😂 Brilliant job as always
Haha its so true, i just get carried away lol
@@RRCRestoration What would you have done differently if it wasn't a lite restoration?

The best part of it all is that it actually has a gun holster. Neat.

Loving these old school Restorations but I can't wait to see that new toy done! Takes me back to the 80s when I was a wee boy!
Same here, cant wait to get it looking factory fresh again :)
I heard you say "Light Restoration" and the first thing I thought was "Aye Right". At least it was only dry flatting this time. Brilliant work as usual, looking forward to the CR.
Customer: “I’d like just a light restore”
RRC: “I’m sorry I’m not familiar with that term, please explain”
hahahaaha

I'd love to see my Aprilia Pegaso 650 1995 restored to its former glory by you!!!

That looks like the same shade of red as that bike frame that's also getting a birthday.
