Perfect timing, I'm into picking locks and have been filing away my own keys for locks that I pick that have none, great restoration and I'm glad I have a friend that's a locksmith I just give him the cut #'s and pop a blank in the machine and away it goes. Not gonna lie if I had an old manual one it would have saved me hours of manual filing! Subscribed!
Great job at that restoration mate. It was refreshing to see something different to the same old vices, planes, hammers, etc that are restored on a regular basis. Most of us will never even see one of these key duplicators for sale let alone have the need for one, but thank you for sharing this with us. 👍🇦🇺
Awesome job! Restoring! You're right, the castings were terrible. Makes you think how many people couldn't get into their houses after getting a copy made on this machine.
Jolie restauration !
I really like your work .. and I am very interested in the results .. I am a locksmith .. and I need it .. will you give it to me? I want to buy it ! from indonesia . Thanks
not sure if anyone cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest series on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last few days =)
You had me with you, right up until you put a torch to the hardened cutting wheel... turning it into something that cuts about s well as a wheel of soft cheese. Oh, well... you made a nice decorative item out of it.
The work you do is fantastic but in my eyes you remove all the history of the items. The poor quality of the castings and the seams that should be there when it was new and even some of the chips and damage to the frame are all part of the working history and to me by removing this it devalues the item itself. Sand blast it and paint it thats fine but dont remove its history.

The swing bar underneath is used to shoulder stop the key when you're setting it up to cut. Great job.
Things you never knew you wanted til you saw them...great job!

You need a cartridge tumbler with walnut shells to shine up the small parts. It's not very abrasive but will clean parts and get tnem shiny.
Great work
Sandblasting is the most satisfying to do & watch.

El numero uno
Jolie restauration !

Super-duper!!
Nice 👍🏽🇹🇷👍🏽
it looks like a worm gear could be incorporated into the design to automatically move the key along as you're turning the handle
The later ones with motors has a deluxe model that wound automatically cut the key
Nice video
Great job. I rather liked the little blue knobs however

@Silas Carter yea, I've been watching on Instaflixxer for years myself :)
Did you have to practice using that thing? It seems like something that you may have to get used to.
Is this going to be used or is it something else for the coffee table?
I would not painted the wood knob it won't last I would of sand it maybe boiled linseed oil or spray shellac
I regressed every threaded hole even Vaseline or light machine oil

Now duplicate a key from a high precision lock! 😂 😂
The breakdown could have been quicker and easier if they'd used some penetrating oil.
Use some WD40 to free up parts
Some WD40 should be nice
I want one
Sorry but the original wheel was chromed. ..you should do the same
6:12 WTF?!!!!
Could've done better sanding some of that filler
There's always one. 🙄 🍆
4x more likely to like if I see a Doge or too. 🤷🏻♂️ Just sayin’ I hear’em but I don’t see’um.
