22:47 Yeah, it's funny how that kind of splash attack works. When it misses, like Artosis said, the center of the explosion just moves in a random direction by some constant number of pixels (I think it's 24, but not sure), using the built-in inaccurate distance calculation. This is far enough that if a siege tank directly targets a unit and misses, the attack will be redirected far enough so the original unit will be outside the 100% splash radius but inside a wider radius. I think usually the 50% splash hits. But burrowed units are immune from all splash except the 100% radius, so a burrowed lurker on its own under dark swarm is effectively immune from siege tank hits. But if you place a unit near the lurker and target that instead, the tank will miss and hit a random spot around that unit. With a bit of luck, the tank hit can land within the 100% radius of the lurker, and thus damage it. Archons can do something similar by targeting zealots placed near lurkers under dark swarm.
Just a correction. Burrowed lurkers under dark swarm are NEVER hit by the siege tank splash. What can happen sometimes is the direct attack of the tank can target a nearby unit and then because of the way dark swarm functions, that attack is "displaced" and it can land on the lurker.
It always makes me nuts seeing Fengzi with all the production in the world float 3k resources. At any time he could have converted to lings and just flooded to win the game.
@@quanang8816 Still. Tactics or no tactics involved in those, Terrans have almost no tools to deal with lurkers/Dark swarm. Science vessels are just too expensive and not that reliable with that many hydras, and firebats are not very good against lurkers since they basically cannot get healed inside and they are not as tanky.
Casual viewer here, in my amateur opinion, I think the turning point was ~18:28 when Mihu loses this floating command center, Fengzi got a economic advantage that would slowly kick in over the next few minutes. Not saying Mihu wins if he keeps this CC alive, but I think it helps a lot. Still, well played to both!
I honestly dont know how terran can actually play vs zerg, it looks like the terran has to be so much better to be able to take a game, dark swarm literally blocks the majority of terran units attack damage (except like siege tank splash and firebats) and plague fucks up terrans army as well, it's really spectacular to see terrans taking games off of zerg.
@@hunterclark5345 I kinda liked RT's idea for Dark Swarm where units inside have a 1% chance to take damage. Another suggestion would be to reduce the time of plague but increase the area/reduce the cost
I know queens have been taboo/bad for pretty much the history of SC, along with scouts and dark archons, but couldn't he have done just as well or better just getting some broodling queens here? I've always been a fan of queens vs both T and P. And like Artosis said, infestation is a highly underused tactic. I would wreck people with it. Although I only played at like C+ level, never really tried to get good.
Felt like Fengzi could have closed it out quicker with some ling flooding while he was floating 2k+ minerals after the 20 minute mark. Not sure if that's my ignorance of late game TvZ though.
@skykur I see. But if you don't have resources to repair, you don't have resources to make more. I guess that's a problem for future Terran who might have more resources to eat the loss. Also considered they need to keep multiple to have redundancy in case of a random scourge hit on a full hp vessel
in a game like this.. because i'm a terrible player, i always wonder to myself.. for zerg, isn't infesting command centers as stylish as nukes are for terran? if only the zerg kept a single queen floating around somewhere.. if he had, that would've ended the game at more than one point, which is incredible on its own! i mean, in this particular game he did lose his queen's nest, but still! having a queen on the map just sounds so powerful when i think about it. ensnaring a group of vessels so your scourge or plagues can hit them more easily.. just ensnare in general, or parasite so you know where the vessels are! you'd force terran to research restore, kind of paying for the queen anyway ;D i'm not a zerg player, so, i don't know what i'm talking about. but it sounds cool in my head.
Another Dark Swarm game. Jesus these are boring, man... just Dark Swarm everywhere and watch Terran ram his head against the wall for 30 minutes. How fun. Starting to get tired of BW ngl, feels like only ZvP and TvP are fun matchups that aren't too predictable.
Fengzi means crazy man in Chinese; Mihu means confused mind lol
Ok, I already like both of them :)
Artosis roughly translates to angry terran
they should be getting along well irl
Thank you dearly for sharing.
OIC
Fengzi 瘋子
Mihu 迷糊
I cant believe Mihu stayed in this game for almost 20 minutes after his natural was busted.. actually insane
“As children we are taught that marines counter hydras..” I loled
love the longer format it gives me a good dose of daily BW
These two keep on cranking bangers.

Awesome series. I LOVE a good old-fashioned game 7

I'm loving these matches!
Fengzi man. And mihu MAN. Ty for upping this. Time for a rewatch haha.
The only reason I watch these are the amazing thumbnails
Oh Artosis, the cutscenes in the campaign taught me very well at a young age that hydras wreck marines
This is one of the best series I’ve seen
They both were pros started playing since 2000s', which obviously means they re old enough but still keep high APM micro, I'm really impressed
It always makes me nuts seeing Fengzi with all the production in the world float 3k resources. At any time he could have converted to lings and just flooded to win the game.
Damn these last 2 games from these guys has been some top tier TvZ
Really enjoying this series, great stuff
This dark swamp and plague is just so overpowered. The whole game was full of those. Very little tactic.
you must be kidding me.... its all about tactics

Orange fart cloud wiggle worm nom nom and make you bleed till you wish you were dead.
@@Apillianirradiate is more broken then dark swarm or plague
Wow, I remember when it was [Mihu 3 : 1 Fengi], I figured it was almost over.... nice reverse sweep incoming!! :D
Dark Swarm sooooooo annoying to deal with ROFL!! Keep it up GL HF :D
I think both were mentally and emotionally spent. I was a all conference soccer player and will say a intense BW game would wear me out.

Thanks for investing in the community RT
6:38 what is that marine doing at the top
wow mihu really hung in there, that is crazy
Wow epic game, cant wait for the next one!
more casts like those, please
Great stuff)
You deserve the goodness RT!
It's insane how much defilers need nerfed
What gets buffed to compensate ?

Such a great freaking game!!!
what a banger
If he had a few firebat bunkers I think Mihu would have had it.
Why does T never repair plagued vessels? They have to regenerate energy anyways and they can just repair them from safety while waiting
It happens sometimes but it’s micro intensive to do. And it means your scv’s aren’t mining. This was a very very low resource game.

Because pros like to be active on the map, repairing is only for important units of the following moves.

I'm glad Z won this one, it means we get another round of these 2 punching each other in the face
rumor has it Artosis never reads the comment section
after watching many of these its just clear as day that dark swarm is braindead op and really needs to be nerfed
poor mihu :(
You cannot start the video without "HEY GUYS, ARTOSIS HERE" "Hey Everybody" does not cut it. No. Stop it.

just my opinion it would be nice to not have a spoiler in the title. Kind of gives me an idea of how the game is going to play out before watching.

I'm 13 minutes into the match and I CANNOT see how i'm only halfway through. O____O
Yeah, Mihu looked kinda dead and somehow the game went into 30 minutes
First time I watch a game where I want to see the zerg win. My god it was hard to watch.
Would'nt it be a good strategy to repair vessels? God damnit what a waste of ressources
