One thing I'd like to comment on is Bisu's upgrades. Back in 2017 when Remastered came out we still had the leftover dogma that Protoss should prioritize attack upgrades only. Then that evolved to getting attack and armor (with double forge, even) as pros came back to the game and figured out any economy savings from not getting armor were outweighed by how much weaker hydras are against high armor upgrades. Then finally we're in 2024 and Bisu is getting shields over +3 armor for a stronger late game vs plague. The game is 25 years old and keeps evolving strategically.
those two guardians were probably my favorite play of the match. Not a lot of kills but the sheer value they got in terms of damage just plinking away at the archons moving back and forth was awesome.
That DT play gave me massive chills. That's how I always imagined DTs as a 12 year old playing the original campaign back in 1999. A stealth assassin that could somehow tap into the swarm's mind, outmaneuver the Zerg, wreak havoc among the hives and seemingly vanish into thin air like he was never even there.
32:40 We gotta hoooold oooonnn, to what we got! It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not! We got templar and storm and that's a lot... For wasting tiiiiime!
Thank you Artosis for all those great games. I haven't played starcraft in over 20 years and just started watching games on your channel. I could never really figure out the game as a kid but now I feel like I want to play it again!
Love the channel and content and love everything starcraft. First time commenting and I just wanted to point this out and im sure most of us know this but I know its hard to actually pull off depending on map and layout but whenever facing zerg their biggest weakness is that they only make 1 building to access or unlock the troops they need right such as zerglings, hydra, etc. while Terran and protoss can make multiple buildings when making troops like marines, medics, etc.with barracks and zealots, dragoons, etc with gateway. Anyways take out the spawning pool and hydralisl den and defiler mound and stalls zerg for abit and then u can attack elsewhere simultaneously picking at fresh bases and back and forth. Yes, you would have to sacrifice some troops for it via drop or air attack but more than worth it imo. Don't know why i don't see it more is all from other players. Love everyone here btw and our love for then game. Awesome😊
Wow, what a great game! By reading those players before the game started, already knew it was an exciting game fighting head to head. Bisu, very good kill in the beginning opener, almost kill off Zerg’s base. On the other side, Soma, had a very strong map control plus very strong defense made Bisu very hard to break in. Plus some great Guardians used towards the end. This was so fun and enjoyable to watch. Thank you Artosis!
would be cool if @ArtsosisCasts could cast some of the older but most legendary games in SC history. Not sure if the replays for them are floating around anywhere but that'd be great.
I think not hunting down the overlords early game really hurt him Also why do I always think red zerg is the most elite zerg color? Reminds me of those story hunter killers.
Im thinking the Zergling speed into lair is just because Soma respects what Bisu can do with just a few zealots. Especially taking the quick third on a 4 player map, and knowing bisu scouted it.
Hi Artosis, very cool cast as usual. My question is about the ghost lockdown ability. Why is it nearly never used against carriers? I would say from the first look it is just as powerful as maelstrom, just requires more ghosts instead of one dark templar. Any arguments on this? I've seen a couple of games where 10-12 carriers were caught and completely annihilated.
Wow, I see why Artosis considers Soma possibly the best zerg right now. Soma seems to view the game in a very strategic big picture way. Instead of tunnel visioning on a specific expansion, he prioritized map control and that ultimately won the game. That mass guardian siege to counter reaver turtling was creative too. Hope to see more zergs go for that instead of wasting waves of ground units vs reavers.
made it to the end. Very surprising game. Thought it was surely over after that 9 oclock went down for zerg. Think toss got too cute, should've pushed forward with a storm timing since they knew zerg was behind on their timings.
this wasnt really that kind of game though; Soma had to be really efficient at trading which is why there were so many skirmishes instead of max army clashes when zerg gets a couple bases ahead THEN they can swarm you and just steamroll (need a lot of hatches first of course) but Bisu did so much damage that they were basically on even bases
damn feels like protos dont have a chance in this matchup early agresion where he killed a hatch oh and he killed zerg hatch on top right and all this tight defences amazing storms, and zerg just comes with more each time, loses entire army => switches to guardians and has a max out atack again AND he is like 2000 resources ahead all the time. Its like this campaign missions to hold for 20 min and by the end you feel like zerg is getting units out of his ass. Not to mention protos was like a bad storm away from losing a game most of the time since zerg's army feels like on crack 1 lurker or a few zerglings/hydras and most of your army disapears. Crazy

I did watch until the credits rolled. This game was truly epic
Definitely. I wonder how at 32:00 abouts would the game swing back in Toss favor. Maybe attacking the middle of the map bonus resources patch.
those two guardians were probably my favorite play of the match. Not a lot of kills but the sheer value they got in terms of damage just plinking away at the archons moving back and forth was awesome.
yep!

Not without the help of the Corsairs.
Beautiful game. Brood War is so amazing at the highest level with the comeback potential and the multiple engagements across the map.
Love to see guardians being used properly! Both of these guys showing a masterclass of ZvP.
@@Ziegfried82 Guardians won the game this time for Zerg!
Great work once again with your knowledgeable casts.
Loved the tone on this cast, Artosis. Very serene and self composed. So professional!! 💯❤️
Sick game! Thanks for doing what you do Artosis. Legendary caster, casting the most legendary game. You love to see it
Watched the whole video, this game was absolutely insane. Thanks for the casts, Arty!
one of the best games I've seen in the last 6 months, gotta love the swarm!
32:40 We gotta hoooold oooonnn, to what we got! It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not! We got templar and storm and that's a lot... For wasting tiiiiime!
Wow that was one hell of a game! Watching your casts is quicky becoming an evening routine for me and I love it!
Definitely made it all the way to the end; very back and forth game. Another great cast, Artosis!
Love the channel, keep it up.
Thank you Artosis for all those great games. I haven't played starcraft in over 20 years and just started watching games on your channel. I could never really figure out the game as a kid but now I feel like I want to play it again!
Fun to see the intense micro battles towards the end, even though both players know the game's been over for a while now
Love the channel and content and love everything starcraft. Epic lategame battle. Great cast.
It's nice to have BW content that's high quality outside of ASL.
Watched until GG, it was awesome to see the hold right until lurkers in the top right.
Great game, awesome to see him come back after that opener!
Made it to the end. Fantastic game from two legends. Thanks for commentating.
dude, love your channel, I didn't play broodwars back in the day, just learning now, your videos are very instructive.
Impressive game! I didn't touch this game for years but always a pleasure to follow your casts. Gg!
That game was a freaking gem
Great game. Thanks for bringing us this epic battle Artosis!
Made it til the end. Got to meal prep for the week in the process. Thanks for the cast
God I can't get enough of high level broodwar. So glad to have these casts!!
Ooh, I was the 1000th like, XD hype! Thanks artosis for all that you've done in the Brood War community! Also made it to the end!
You're awesome Arty.
Keep up the great work as always!
so damn true about what bisu manages to get done with a handful of dt corsair
Made it to the end! Great game and great cast as always
19:45 I love Soma sticking to If-you-cant-take-a-base-dont-take-it ...and of course finally someone utilizing guardians!

You are doing Gods work.
❤
stop it.

Impressive game, thanks for casting so well that even me as a non player can understand what's going on at all times
Always appreciate your content arty
Watched to the end, what an amazing game!
Seeing the Guardians come out was brilliant :D
Amazing game. Watched til the end effortlessly.

lol my jaw dropped and i threw my hands up in confusion when he pulled the dt away before even killing a 2nd drone. such discipline
I think not hunting down the overlords early game really hurt him
Also why do I always think red zerg is the most elite zerg color? Reminds me of those story hunter killers.
Amazing game from the winner!
Nice epic match. Loved seeing the near 180 degree guardian arc haha.
Wow, this was an exceptional game! One of the greatest games I ever seen!🔥🔥🔥🔥
The beauty of that arc...
What a game! Thank you for showing..:)
Yessssssss. Looks like its gonna be a niiiice match
Super fun game. Two pros at their best.
Im thinking the Zergling speed into lair is just because Soma respects what Bisu can do with just a few zealots. Especially taking the quick third on a 4 player map, and knowing bisu scouted it.
Fun game. Thanks for casting.
Ty for these artosis
just saw this a couple days ago on Falcon Paladin lol. Still watched it again all the way cause it was pretty good!
Great cast 🎉
Zerg swarm in full effect! You love to see it
Hope we can do this for eternity! :D
Wow. What a game, that was a blast
Love these last stand kinds of games.
those 2 guardians were lowkey trolling the archons
Good morning Artosis! Got the day off, cup of coffee and see Bisu vs Soma -- what more can you ask for? And think TRUE, COMFY STATUS 10/10
insane game
I made it to the end! This was a great game!
Game too short! WE WANT MORE!
Awesome game! Lategame PvZ is really amazing to watch!
I love a good epic battle.
great comeback game!
Bisu maelstorming zerglings is peak Starcraft.
Ask for it to be 2009 😢 watching these guys in their prime.
I made it all the way to the end! Do we get t-shirts?
Minor correction: Maelstrom does not work against burrowed units.
Made it to the end!
Really awesome game, thanks

@SaiyanKCM casted this game a couple of weeks ago I'm 99.9% sure. Funny how closely you both casted it.
As if anyone didn't make it all the way through to the end.
what a game!
I realize Artosis must have found pepcid in his life, haven't heard him burp in weeks!
one of the best game of sc2 i ever saw
having 2 dark archons will be a norm 3 years from now.
What a crazy game.
Should Protoss have like 2/3 Scouts just to kill guardians in late game?
made it to the end. Very surprising game. Thought it was surely over after that 9 oclock went down for zerg. Think toss got too cute, should've pushed forward with a storm timing since they knew zerg was behind on their timings.
why don't produce get reverses sooner if they are so good late game? like looking at the 14:00 fight dont they make it so he can push bottom Right?
Any chance of you casting some old school legndary games Artosis?
What a match!
Let's go!
Edge. Of. My. Seat. terrific game!
8:18 POG !!! 👁👄👁
epic game, love to see late game pro play.
18:25 / 34:20 is it really the AI or just the pathfinding?
Soma had 78 drones at one point, this is the true power of zerg, the macro machine is activated and unlocked at full power, neverending swarm of units
this wasnt really that kind of game though; Soma had to be really efficient at trading which is why there were so many skirmishes instead of max army clashes
when zerg gets a couple bases ahead THEN they can swarm you and just steamroll (need a lot of hatches first of course) but Bisu did so much damage that they were basically on even bases

Would've LOVED to see more zealots late game. They seem so much better under swarm than archons.
Plague + lurker and zealots just evaporate sadly
The best part was when artosis spoke
13:48 this expo is a power move against soma. While taking his 4th he build his own. And Soma knows about it. Its a mind game
Why didn’t he use dts to swipe those eggs? For sure he could kill those ovies before they popped.
WHAT A GAME
19:19 that "yeahhh good" is meme worthy, high value content here
Wow gg 👍👍 i love to think sometimes programers fight consciously to death as us chobo's do 😅
I can see why Zerg is favored in this matchup. This matchup and TvP look particularly tricky in the early game.
Can someone tell Artosis that it's not layer, but lair? Thanks!
People mocked me when I said that dark archons are good, and that they will eventually be used xd
back in the day
