I have something similar. I got a ported throttle body and control module that plugs in to the back of the gas pedal. It was purchased from Soler Performance..
Total game changer! Doesn’t actually give you more horsepower but changes the way the power comes on. you can literally push the pedal down an eighth of an inch and it thinks you’re giving it half throttle on the highest setting.. Absolutely love it!

I just got the same thing from Soler Performance. Modded throttle body with the controller. Mike from Soler kept telling me,,, it doesn't give you more power, it just gives you way more response. I will be installing this Saturday but I have heard from many it is a game changer for the "feel" of the throttle.
Use those sensitivity increase also..sport with +2 is crazy nice
I've always called this mod "throttle tuning". The one thing about throttle controllers that made me get one vs just changing the throttle map to a more 1:1 with a tune is in the case of my car (Genesis Coupe), 1:1 throttle map from a tune doesn't quite feel like 1:1 that you can get from the throttle controller. Plus the throttle controller can give you a theories they way YOU want to have it, which could be different than what others want.

I have one on my Ram 2500 truck, it’s a game changer, I typically use City +4, sport+ mode like you demonstrated is crazy quick response.

I put one of those on a 2014 BMW 550i and I loved it. It seemed like an extreme acceleration boost. Instant response.

@@BrinkofSpeed yeah, they are great. If anything it makes for much more spirited driving...you sure feel fast. It hurt my gas mileage quite a bit, lol. Wish I could pick up a new C8.

Mark I've been an AC contractor for 30 years and I've worked on solid state and electrical circuits including single phase and three phase systems My only question is is there a fail safe on that device what if it malfunctions and all of a sudden you're doing a hundred + miles an hour and you don't have your foot on the gas pedal that would be my only concern
you do have a shifter, you can still put the car into neutral and or kill the engine with the start/stop button
@@brett2375 better pray to God that you're not approaching an intersection when all of a sudden the car takes off in front of kids crossing and you only have milliseconds to react all I'm saying is there should be a failsafe built into the system where it doesn't allow it to happen

I’ve had my C8 since March 2020. It’s mainly a track car and I’ve got around 50 track days on it. The most annoying feature of the car is the throttle. Not so much any actual lag, but the firmness and length of travel of the pedal, which I’m sure was done intentionally to prevent aggressive throttle application in a high horsepower car. By comparison, I have a Porsche Boxster GTS which I tracked for 2 years, and the throttle is much shorter and lighter. At this point I really don’t want to add a device like this, because I’ve learned to adjust to it, but I wish I knew about it earlier, as I would of definitely given it a try.
Been using these for years on my other vehicles. Dude, it took me 10 minutes to install in my C7 GS.. You do not need to remove the throttle pedal. That’s a sloppy install, route the PC cable’s under and through the carpet. Route the cable along the plastic trim under the dash. Mount the PC in the center of that trim. You’re done. Sport on level 4 is where I’m happy with on daily driving. Zero lag.. Pulls my sons ZO6 until his power kicks in!

Oh nice! I was wondering if there would be a throttle controller for the C8, and there is! I have one on my Genesis Coupe by XTros, and it's one of my most favorite additions to the car yet. It's not just because it speeds up that laggy timing for throttle response, but with the eco mode it actually gives my car something similar to cruise control when it never had cruise control available from Hyundai since it's an Rspec. The difference is mine doesn't have the bluetooth, and it has more adjustable sensitivity levels (45 total), it's a simple button that only cycles through all the 5 sensitivity groups, and it costs maybe a little under half the price as this one.
Although I'm not so sure it actually makes anyone's car faster persay, as I think it's more like a sort of throttle position multiplyer.
I'd would love to (See or) hear the time differences of with and without the pedal commander?
I would like to see you just put it in cruise control and see what the difference feels like. Also would be nice to see your 1/4 mile times would be with and without. Sounds like a good product if it holds up and performs well.
I think I would have pulled the carpet out, and fished the wire down from the top of the carpet and pulled it out in the hole in the carpet so it would not have been seen at all.
Is that possible to put that in my 2013 C6 automatic?

What about the impact to the transmission? If effects that as well as the throttle body, right? Last think I want to do is give a reason to my DCT to fall me.
It only affects the electrical inputs from the electronic throttle pedal.
Yeah, it doesn’t affect the transmission at all. It just makes your throttle response quicker.

Another one who doesn't read all the directions, you are NOT supposed to make changes while in Drive, then wonder why their engine light comes on and it drives like crap. Lucky you didn't mess up your car.
Make sure when you switch modes your fully stopped. You're not supposed to switch while the car is driving

Sure, but I’t really doesn’t help from a stop. It helps once you are rolling.
This product does not add horsepower. It tricks the ECU into opening the throttle blade faster. 100% open will still be 100% open once your foot is to the floor.

No, it won’t do that, it only affects throttle once you are rolling.

It doesn’t help with launching your car from a stop. It only helps after the car is rolling.

It is the equivalent to putting a 1/4 turn throttle on a motorcycle! You have to be smooth on the throttle!
I understand, but it’s extremely touchy, and that is fine for some circumstances.

Historically speaking Corvette’s prior to drive by wire gas peddles were really good about getting away from enthusiastic drivers, wrapping themselves around trees and ending up with rebuild titles. Don’t make the Captain America C8 into a 3,600 lb paperweight, please!
If it doesn't actually make the car go faster then it must FEEL faster with virtually no delay between your foot input and throttle response. Now if we could only speed up the signal between the brain and your foot. LoL

Won't change. This product does not add power. It only makes the throttle blades open faster. In launch control mode, you're foot's already to the floor so the ECU is reading throttle at 100% when it launches.

Because the throttle is not mechanically connected to the throttle body anymore. It's computer-controlled electrically. This aftermarket item merely controls how fast the throttle plate opens.

I suspect it has something to do with fuel mileage standards. Butt dyno results are great but time slips tell the real story. 😉

It might be helpful on a track car, but I'd be worried about precise throttle control in a corner if this thing is messing with the throttle blade position.

Lies! Does not make you car faster.
Not a fan of PC. It doesn't make the vehicle any faster. 0-60 times won't change nor will quarter mile trap times. It changes the gas pedal modulation. So at 25% pedal the computer sees 50% etc. If you are in an accident and your auto insurance company finds out you screwed around with the pedal modulation, they will void your coverage. Not worth it.
I understand what you’re saying, but it’s fully adjustable and pretty easy not to reck just because the gas pedal is more sensitive.
You have posted a video on a public forum showing an installation of a device in your car that hypothetically may or may not increase the the risk of an accident. Good luck sir.
Sampson - sorry to tell you none of your points are valid. First, I’ve had a pedal commander on my 2019 Corvette for now two years. I’ve never had a single issue. Secondly, before I installed this I checked with my GM warranty because I didn’t want to void it. And I also checked with USAA insurance. Their exact response was that it would have no insurance issues just like an after market exhaust can increase horsepower. Third, any real driver will tell you shifting DOES play a role in track times. (mine is a manual) I can get to quicker RPM to shift sooner by losing the delay from the gas pedal due to the use of Pedal Commander. If you don’t like it don’t install it. But don’t perpetuate your opinion as fact when you clearly are making claims based on your opinion. I don’t know why people like you feel the need to downgrade or troll people. I was raised in a time that said. If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. Maybe your generation should try this. Have a good day.
Absolute junk if you know anything about tuning. My opinion only. Watch a few videos from well know GM tuners and see what they say..
