Teoscar Hernandez is this year's JD Martinez. Get someone on the market coming off a down year and give him a reasonable 1-year contract.
Worst scenario is repeating the same mistake with another 4 year contract like Chris Taylor after a career year and he starts declining in year 3.
So you can’t see that Teo really has a knack on hitting and will only be turning 32 years old this year ??..if they will sign him at 35 yrs old like Jose Abreu and Im not for it!!..😉💙

I would wait until November and see what the free agent market is like before committing multiple years. The Mariners also signed him to a 1-year deal after he left Toronto, so MLB as a whole is not valuing him very highly. No need for Dodgers to bid against themselves.

He is average defensely, and in a bad year he might strike out 200 times. Chris Taylor is only 33 years old and he is already playing his way out of the league.

The Dodgers have a very good roster but not a great roster. When you have absolute garbage like Taylor, Varland and Feyeriesen! Dodgers still need a high leverage lefty and righty for the pen. We need a few guys who can strike people out. Vargas would be a much better bench bat & outfield sub. That terrible Taylor contract is keeping Vargas away.
