Thanks for having me! Always a blast. 👍
I love listening to Lance! So nice of him to share his expertise with us. Of course, it raises the question of whether there's an expert on the hitting side who could come on the channel to discuss the hitting side of the cat-and-mouse game of adjustments between hitters and pitchers.
I've been watching Dodgers baseball pretty religiously since 1981 and I've been a hardcore fan since 88. I think I know a good amount about baseball until I listen to Lance. That dude is like a baseball Rain man, he's pretty amazing.
Lance is really good. Always enjoy his appearances on the show
Great interview! wish Lance or someone of this amount of ball knowledge could cover the Dodgers. Cubs are lucky to have him!
Thanks for interviewing
Great interview, very informative
Wait... Yamamoto has been a 4 pitch guy. He recently added a slider so 5 pitch guy. But you guys are making it seem like he was a 2 pitch guy
I'd like to see Yamamoto use the 4 seam at the top of the zone. I think in the NPB the strike zone is lower. Yamamoto knows how to pitch down in the zone. He needs to take advantage of the top of the zone to set up the stuff at the bottom. One criticism on game calling. Sometimes will smith doubles up on pitches at the worst times. Especially when the hitter seems to be tracking the ball well. It's like " here it is again " other than that everything is going great.!!!
I like Barnes catching for Yamamoto.
I'll take pitchers like Stone or Knack over a Miller or Sheehan. Pitchers vs Throwers. Guys who can give you 6-8 innings vs guys done in 5. Guys who are on the field vs guys in the body shop! Hitters are so good these days that 98 to 100mph fastballs don't mean too much. They can be hit!
HOW THEY GOING TO USE MILLER AND SHEEHAN WHEN BACK FROM INJURY?
WHAT HAPPEN TO MY BOY THOR? HE DIDNT GET FIXED!!!
