Ohtani pitching makes him who he is, he’s a great hitter for sure, top 3. We’ll see where he is at the end of the season but unless he’s injured he needs to pitch to justify his contract.

Shohei used to play outfield. It might be a good move to switch him to outfield where he can make an impact everyday. It might also keep him from injuries as he already has had 2 Tommy John surgeries.

Shohei Ohtani has to pitch. There’s no way the dodgers are gonna sign this dude and then be the force that ends the two way era. That’s a massive part of why he’s the GOAT. I don’t get the whole narrative around his offensive explosion being the result of “focusing on hitting”. He’s not focusing on hitting. This entire time he’s been rehabbing for pitching and focusing on that as well.
He’ll be back on the mound and he’ll be a stud. He’ll still hit 40 homers too. Let him decide when he wants to be done with it.

I really don’t think the Dodgers have any intention of not letting Ohtani pitch. At this stage, pitching is something he wants to do:; and I think in terms of that, he’s probably got something in his contract about it. If he turns out to pitch poorly, I can see them sitting him down on the bench as a pitcher for a while, but I think he’ll pitch.
