The rison of broke off was that the timing chain was too tight, because you didn't took off the time tensioner when you put the cylinder back on the bike, you should toke it off and turn it all the way in when you was putting the cylinder back on, then install the time tensioner back in and release it
If you got a low hours bike or a brand new bike, it's easy to keep it in good condition, just refers to the manual for the current maintenance, and for the big one refer to your dealer.
bro all your bolts are falling out maybe torque them to the manual specs and use loctite where its stated like the camshaft bolts or dnt touch a bike altogether if u dnt follow the manual u lucky that fell out while kicking it by hand then bud
Yo question. I got a 400ex and I lost me decompression pin. I’m pretty sure it fell down through the chain space to the bottom end. Story is I took off my cam and when I went to take the pin out it wasn’t there. I’m guessing I knocked it down in the bottom end. So I took my clutch cover off and looked for it wasn’t there. Took a magnet and worked it around and it wasn’t there. Then I took a thin wire and moved it around the bottom and I didn’t catch anything. I thought it could be in the crank but i turned the bike over 5 times and it didn’t lock up so I’m lost lol. I bought the part and I’m just gonna put the new pin in and go from there. My question is would there be a way for it to bounce around and get caught somewhere and cause damage if it’s down there? That’s all I’m concerned about.
take off the cover and check out the damage. Definitely wouldn't want a pin flying around your bottom end. It's cheaper to buy new gaskets than a new motor.
@@DJsGarage haven’t put it back together yet so there’s no damage yet but what I’m understanding is you think it could bounce around and damage something. I’m selling the bike when’s it’s done so all it has to last is the break in stage. But you think it may bounce around and damage something. If so how soon would it damage something?
Valve lash if you have any trouble starting it, adjust your clutch lever to have some free play at the lever so your clutch will last like it should, check your chain tension, sprocket wear, brake condition, spoke tension, bearing play in the wheel's hubs, rear swingarm and linkage play, see if there are any loose or missing pieces of hardware. Just enjoy looking all over it, learning how it all works, and keep it clean and lubricated as you ride it! There are great videos on UA-cam for any maintenance you would ever need to do.

These lil bikes are rippers.
I never new how much maintenance actually goes into a dirt bike. Kinda don't want one now haha
They usually don’t take much maintenance, that depends on what kind and the condition it’s in.
If you got a low hours bike or a brand new bike, it's easy to keep it in good condition, just refers to the manual for the current maintenance, and for the big one refer to your dealer.

Do you always use bike bandit when ordering parts??
I use them to find the parts. Never really order from them much because shipping is slow and I have a partszilla factory very close to me
